The good, the bad, the ugly?

The Good: -Russell Wilson. Despite running for his life all day, he made clutch plays and put the ball where WRs could get it. Can't blame him too much for the strip-sack-fumble with how shitty the OL was. -Doug Baldwin. Dude is CLUTCH. Seven catches on 8 targets, 5 first downs, 4/4 on 3rd down. The Bad: -Pass rush. To be expected when you're out your top 3 pass rushers. We got pressure, just couldn't get home. -Run game. Lynch fought like hell, but didn't get much help from the OL against a great Carolina front seven. The Ugly: The OL. Just fucking terrible. Bad pass protection. Bad run blocking. Bad penalties.

The Best FCS Teams Are Not a Laughing Matter

There's no way Eastern Washington would "light it up" in the second half and pull away from NDSU. Not a chance in hell. You want to talk about secondaries? You wouldn't play a better secondary than NDSU's. Marcus Williams and Colton Heagle say hi. NDSU's defense is absolutely phenomenal. EWU would be lucky to score twenty points against it. We did the last (and only) time our teams met, and that was with M Will playing. Our offense spreads it out so much and presents so many looks that no one can stop us for long. OSU's D ranked #2 in the Pac-12 last year and had a lot coming back, but they got torched. EWU would have trouble stopping the bizon ground and pound, but EWU would most certainly put up 20+ on NDSU. Our passing attack and WRs are always top 3 in the FCS. Hell, look at the NC game in 2010; Delaware had the best defense, held opponents to 11 points per game, loved to pound the ball, and they stopped us for the first half. But they couldn't keep it up when we kept going to the air. Like I said, I would love to see these two teams play again.

    Seahawks @ Panthers

Wait what? Does Star have a brother on the Seahawks? You'd think so but according to NFL.com there's actually no relation between the two. I heard on 710, forget which show, that they're cousins.

The bizon would not trounce EWU. What the bizon do on the ground to opposing front 7s, EWU does in the air to opposing DBs. I imagine NDSU would go up 10-14 in the first half, and EWU would light it up in the second. The addition of the read option and pistol looks makes Vernon Adams all that more dangerous. I hope our two teams meet up in the post season this year.

    Predict Your Team's Regular Season

Not gonna go game by game because Seattle usually loses a couple games that we have no business losing, and winning a couple games we probably shouldn't win. I think we'll be between 10-6 at the worst and 13-3 at the best, with the most likely possible losses to: SF, STL, NO, NYG, HOU, ATL.

    Most Anticipated games of 2013

We beat the Cardinals and Bills 108-17, what good did that do us? The next week we curb-stomped SF.

    Meh. I wouldn't mind.

    Offensive Acquisitions

As much as I'd love to pick Harvin, the biggest impact (compared to what they had before) will be Palmer in AZ. It's night and day.

    Favourite Player?

Russell Wilson has quickly become my favorite player. It's hard not to love the guy. Although Sherman is a close second for me.

Vikings still have Ponder under center. QB is more important than RB. Doesn't matter they added Jennings and Patterson, they still have Ponder throwing the ball.

Considering there was no initial jab, it wasn't a comeback at all, but rather a statement. I digress. The only concern I have regarding Seattle D vs. Carolina O is our pass rush with Irvin suspended and Clemons still a ???. It will be interesting to see how Dan Quinn decides to use Avril and Bennett, along with rookie DT Jordan Hill. I do know that Quinn will be more aggressive than Gus Bradley was and blitz more often, especially with DBs. With Red Bryant healthy (plantar faciitis) and the addition of big Jesse Williams, I doubt you'll have much success on the ground. No more Trufant to take advantage of in the slot either. Of course a lot can change between now and then, but I see it along the lines of 28-13 or so.

You think the Seattle team you saw in week 5 last year is anywhere close to the same team that finished 2012 with a three game annihilation of Arizona (58-0), Buffalo (50-17), and SF (42-13)? Cute. I'm not saying it will be a blowout or an easy win, but I wouldn't want to be your defense.

  21. At least the daughter is young enough she likely won't be affected, as long as the mom can find a new partner that's not a complete POS. I wonder if she signed a prenup.

    Division Swap

Option A: -Because it would be AWESOME for the Hawks and Packers to play twice every year, plus that'd make for a very strong NFCN without the Lions. Option B: -Hawks back in the AFCW minus the Broncos would allow for a Patriots-in-the-AFCE type dominance for my Seahawks. Plus, I hate the Raiders almost as much as I hate the 49ers.
  23. Which is exactly why I went with Russell. The dude is rock solid with his leadership, work ethic, and adaptability... not just in the one year he's been in the league, but everywhere he's played. If you've read what his past coaches and acquaintances say about him, or seen some of his HS or college interviews, you'd know that he's the same person now that he was back then. Not to mention time in the league really doesn't have much to do with being a good coach, it's 90% about the qualities that person possesses. Hell, look at Mike Leach... most would consider him to be a great college coach (except for that douche Craig James), yet Leach never played college or pro football, same with Charlie Weis.
  24. I didn't say he could be a coach RIGHT NOW, nor was the OP stipulating that in the prompt. After his playing days are over, which more than likely isn't going to be for at least a decade, he would know the game inside and out. All I was saying, is that he has the QUALITIES that most great coaches possess, which in my opinion, leads me to believe he would make a great coach down the line... not that he WILL be. Summer donna.
