    BEAST.

    Seahawks release Mike Williams

I've heard from a former player who hangs around VMAC that he was about 40lbs overweight. I saw him in one of the recent Real Rob Reports... he looks like an OL. Even with his injury he shouldn't be THAT out of shape. He reverted back to his old habits it seems.
  3. Big Mike Williams. He's a lazy self-indulgent fuck who hasn't changed.

    Predicting the Elite: Pass Defense

Seattle for days. One of the best safeties in the league in ET, another pro bowler and a BEAST in Kam Chancellor right beside him at SS. Biggest CBs in the league who can press like a mofucka and play man, just have to cut back on the penalties... both who were only in their first year. Browner made the pro bowl, Sherman should have, and probably will this year. With the added pass rush of Jason Jones and Bruce Irvin, gonna be even more picks this year.

    Seahawks QB Competition

This. I think Carroll has stated and wants them to all compete for it as if it were truly open and even, but the fact remains that Pete saw what TJax did last year and brought in 2 more QBs. He'll have to really impress to stay as backup. If Wilson beats him out, he's gone and we'll keep Portis. Flynn will get the starting nod because SEA already has $10M invested in him, and he's accurate and a great decision maker, unlike TJax. Hence why we also drafted Wilson. As Mike Salk pointed out on 710ESPN yesterday, and I totally agree with him, the top 2 attributes you look for in a franchise QB, in order, are 1. Decision Making, and 2. Accuracy. Flynn and Wilson have those in droves, whereas TJax lacks both. He's tough, athletic and has a strong arm, but he lacks the accuracy and mental makeup to succeed as a starter in the NFL, IMO.

    Getting Defensive

Seahawks will be top 5 this year with an increased pass rush and even more turnovers.

    Your schedule/record

JFC BC, lay off the debbie downer sauce. You have the second STL game marked a L even though you predict a blowout win, which would make your prediction 8-8. Regardless, .500 won't win the division. @ARI - W 17-15: Bruce Almighty and Clem destroy the Card's senior citizen OL, Kolb goes down, and Skelton manages a couple drives that stall and are forced into a pair of FGs. Their D gets a safety and Patrick Peterson returns one, but it's not enough. DAL - W 24-17: Lockette the Rocket burns the Boys secondary for a long score, and Beast Mode runs wild. Flynn manages the game and our D preserves the win. Home opener in 2012, 12th man all day. GB - L 31-25: Flynn plays well against his former team, but Aaron Rogers he is not. @STL - W 27-17: There will be growing pains for a team that young, much like the first half of last year for Seattle. @CAR - L 20-17(OT): Cam will get his, but it will be tough going against Hawks top 5 D. Panthers edge us in OT. NE - L 24-17: Brady is Brady. @SF - L 17-16: Akers kicks the game winner in a defensive hatefest. One player from each team ejected by the 4th Q. @DET - W 31-21: Flynn has his way with the Lions once again, with less starpower but a stronger defense. MIN - W 28-6: LOLVIKINGS. NYJ - W 21-13: Sanchez or Tebow, it won't matter. BYE @MIA - W 31-10: LOLDOLPHINS. @CHI - L 24-14: Bears stay healthy down the stretch for once. ARI - W 25-10: When was the last time the Cards won in Seattle? Probably with Kurt Warner. They don't have Kurt Warner. @BUF - W 17-14: Late kickoff on the East Coast gives us just enough to get by. SF - W 31-24: Another hard-hitting hate-fest, but this time Hawks get the knockout punch. STL - W 27-13: Another routine win over the Rams in Seattle. Rams haven't won in Seattle since the Wildcard in 2004. 11-5 in the playoffs as NFCW champs or as a wild card.

    Top duos in the NFL?

RBs Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin. Talk about ground and pound. CBs Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are pretty legit for first year NFL guys.

    Seahawks All Century Team

I'd tend to agree with you on that. We had the best line in the league for a little while there. Can you imagine Lynch running behind Big Walt, Hutch, Tobeck, Gray and Pork Chop? :allhail:
  11. From what I've heard from the Bucs beat writer is that a lot of those picks in which K2 was targeted were because Freeman had a close relationship with K2 and trusted him the most, and forced a lot of throws to him last year.
  12. Don't worry, it'll be upgraded to a 6th.
  13. He won't quite be competing for snaps behind Miller. Carroll's let it be known that he and Bevell have wanted to run a lot of two TE sets. Just couldn't do it last year with Carlson and OL hurt.
  14. Somebody tell Schiano thanks. Last year we had no TE presence because of the OL injuries Miller had to block and Carlson didn't play a down because of his injury. If our OL stays healthy this year (knock on wood), we should have a pretty productive duo for an accurate QB not named TJax to throw to. Gonna be a good year for the Hawks!

Carroll: Russell Wilson is in mix for starting QB job

The way I see it, Wilson will be competing with TJax for the backup spot. Flynn is paid, he's going to get his chance to show what he's got. If he falters though... I don't think TJax beats out Wilson though, he's gone. We're gonna go into the season with 3 QBs with a combined 2 starts in the NFL, and shockingly, I'm okay with that. Either Flynn or Wilson, perhaps both will be good to great NFL QBs.
  16. This, except for Defense I'm gonna go with the homer vote and say Bruce Irvin. If a 4.6 guy like Clemons can get 11 sacks, a freak of nature 4.4 DE like Bruce can get Aldon Smith numbers or better.
  17. For Seattle, I have to go with Russell Wilson. The kid is an absolute baller, has all the talent and smarts of Luck or RG3, just not the height. I think he's going to be a great NFL QB, despite what the talking heads say regarding his height. -Russell Wilson played major college football for four years in two top conferences and started each year. -Like Peyton Manning he was a four year starting QB. -Wilson threw for more yards in his four years than Manning did. -Wilson threw 20 TDs more than Manning threw. -Wilson threw 4 less INTs than Manning did. -Wilson's completion rate was 1 percent less than Manning's. -Wilson's TD/INT ratio was far superior than Manning's was. I also love the Robert Turbin pick... dude is a beast.

    Welcome to Seattle, Bruce Irvin

I've heard several reports that the Jets were going to take him right after us at 16, and that 5 other teams had them in their top 15, including the Texans, Patriots and 49ers. I'm happy with the pick, I think he's going to light it up.

Elite Head Coach or Elite QB?

Elite QB, because he's the coach on the field, audibling and executing the plays.

First round picks for the last ten years

2011: RT James Carpenter... on the path to bust. 2010: LT Russel Okung... All Pro potential, needs to stay healthy. 2010: FS Earl Thomas... Damn good pick. 2009: LB Aaron Curry... BUST. 2008: DE Lawrence Jackson... BUST. 2006: CB Kelling Jennings... BUST. 2005: C Chis Spencer... Meh. 2004: DT Marcus Tubbs... Pretty good. 2003: CB Marcus Trufant... Very good. 2002: TE Jerramy Stevens... BUST. Drafting under Ruskell was pretty bad, lots of misses. Schneider so far has done a damn good job, mostly finding steals in the later rounds and after the draft.
