  1. He was fantastic in the minutes he played last year (only 20 a game, smh). I don't know if you're saying he's not that good or what?

I wasn't commenting on his skill level either way, I was just saying that the reason he looks like he is a man playing among boys is because he is actually playing among boys.

  2. Yea, not thrilled about the Billups addition from a personal view of things, but he should be a great locker room pressense and leader for BK7.

Andre Drummond looks like a man among boys at just 19. Its crazy how well he is on just instincts and natural ability. Now that offense though...

That's because he is among boys...

Summer League is filled with a bunch of scrubs.

  3. Yeah, Kendrick Perkins belongs.

Joe Johnson belongs as well, but there's no way he belongs on the bench. He's still a top 10 SG.

Eric Gordon does not belong on this list though. I know he can't stay healthy, but when is healthy, he's a top 5 SG.

  4. I'm glad someone brought this up. IMO, atheism is not very different from religiosity and for one simple reason: Both rely on the same concept of faith to prove or disprove the existence of God. Which is a completely futile exercise in and of itself. Regardless, you can't tell one group of people "you can't prove God exists!" then turn around and call yourself an atheist because you rely on that same faith to tell someone he DOESN'T exist. You can't prove it and he can't prove it. It makes one no better than the other regardless of the moral high ground they are trying to pursue. This is why I prefer to call myself an agnostic. It is especially important if you're basing your preference on science v religion. Science demands evidence, and in terms of God or gods, there cannot be any evidence. Thus agnosticism fits best.

But back to the OT...in creating religion, humans made one fatal mistake: Giving Gods human characteristics. And from that stems the oppressive nature of religion, ie. anti-homosexuality.

I don't see how asking someone to prove that god exists is the same as them reversing the question on you. There has never been evidence that God exists, people shouldn't have to prove that something doesn't exist when there was never anything to prove that he existed in the first place.

  5. Your nature to argue with everyone kind of backfires when you make no sense. You don't create nearly as much drama or turmoil that way. Lol.

He said he works all the time during the season (of course). You can't be with your family all of the time if you are with your other family all the time. It's a sacrifice that many coaches and players make. Just the way the game is, especially if you want to be great.

Also, for things like his wedding, of course you should get that off. But to skip OTAs to go to dentist appointments? Eh. If he really felt that was necessary, they could have scheduled the appointment before or after the days activities.

You have to worry about your other family as well though... Can he be as effective of a player without the support of the guys in his locker room? Other players have families to take care of, but they show up.

If Cary wanted to step away from the game to be with his family full time, I would commend him for it.

I don't see what any of that has to do with what I said, you're the one not making any sense here.

All he's saying is that he wants to spend as much time with his family while he can because during the season he likely wouldn't have the opportunity to go to things like his daughter's dance recital.

  6. Couldn't agree with him more. Don't call something voluntary if you get mad at players for not being there.

I don't see how he's contradicting himself at all. He wants to be a great husband and father which is why he's doing what he's doing now by not showing up to things that he doesn't have to so he can spend time with his family.

And he's going to be home during the season because, assuming his family moved with him to Philly, he still plays half his games at home and he's going to be staying at his house. He just won't have the opportunity to go to certain functions during the season because he's required to be at practice or at a game or whatever it is.

  7. I don't know why anybody would be embarrassed to like Justin Timberlake's solo music. His last two albums have been great and "What Goes Around" off Future Sex/Love Sounds is one of my favorite songs to this day.

Kesha is one of mine. Die Young and and C'Mon are catchy as fuck.

I also liked a lot of songs off Justin Bieber's last album :shifty:

  8. I couldn't stand him towards the end of his career, but the obvious answer is Ray. He was just amazing in his prime, and brought so much to the team around him.

This pic, more than anything for me, demonstrated the way that Ray played the game...consoling a shaken Brady after bringing him to the turf:

The intensity in that shot still gets me every time.

Looks like a therapy session lol

  9. He said Parker, not Duncan. LeBron would have to do a lot more than jog to keep up with Parker considering Parker is one of the fastest players in the NBA.

Fail on my part, read Tony as Tim for whatever reason

  10. Really looking forward to this series. Since they don't really have tape on each other with superstars sitting out for each team in the season meetings, adjustments are going to be even more important this series. In Pop We Trust.

Miami defend the PnR as good as anybody. Kawhi has his hands full as he will be on Lebron. Hope the refs don't call early bullshit fouls on Kawhi though.

People have mentioned Lebron on Tony, but I Don't really see how they do that. Tony works harder than anybody in the league off the ball. He goes through about 5 screens per offensive possession. Doubt they want Lebron chasing him around everywhere.

Timmy needs to dominate down low and Spurs can't let the Heat build a huge lead. I never count out my Spurs but it is way tougher to come back from 15 against Lebron than it is against any other team.

Spurs will have had 10 days off before game 1, so I am really hoping they didn't lose their rhythm too much.

Indiana looked like a deer in the headlights in game 7. Sad, because they really had a great playoffs. I liked watching them play. And, lol about the comment of the Spurs getting a lot of calls.

Is it really chasing if LeBron never has to do anything more than jog to keep up with Duncan?

  11. All these Heat players who couldn't hit a fucking barn in the first 6 games are all of a sudden making shots. It makes no sense. I fucking hate basketball when luck factors in. Just because it's a different day shouldn't make such a drastic difference in one game. Fuck this. I love basketball when it's fair, and that includes the officiating which has been awful in this game so far, but when it's like this--when the favoritism is blatant and obvious--I hate basketball. So much. Too many highs and lows.

Why are you acting like players are lucky because they're outperforming their incredibly small sample sizes of struggling and ignoring their larger body of work that is a better representation of their actual talent level?

It's like you really believe that any time one team that you don't like outplays another it's only because the officiating is handing it to them.

  12. Everybody's saying the Pacers are going to take this series.

And that's exactly why I think Miami wins. I hope for the Pacers, because I don't approve or purchased championships, but I just don't see it right now.

Purchased championships? Nobody wins rings with a core of only players drafted by that team anymore. The Spurs are the only ones who have done it in the past decade+. There's so much roster turnover in the NBA that it's ridiculous to have that opinion.

  13. Everybody's team is going to look dominant

It's an all-time draft, going to be impossible to figure out which one of these teams is the best

It's like doing a 4 team draft of the current NFL

And did someone really draft Richard Sherman?

  14. I don't know why people think him slimming down to 265 means anything. During his stint with the Raiders, his accuracy and anticipation were horrible. At no point did he show signs of becoming a good NFL quarterback. Does him losing 50 pounds all the sudden make him a capable QB from the neck up? Absolutely not. He's a locomotive with nobody behind the wheel.

The losing the 50 pounds says more about his dedication to improve his life and his game, something he didn't have when he first came into the league. Unfortunately, he had to crash and burn and hit rock bottom before he realized that he couldn't keep going the way he was going and succeed.

  15. 3 of them are likely bust :p

    The top 3, yeah :p

Aside from the Jets top 3 draft picks in Dee Millz, Sheldon, and Broadway Geno, I'm looking forward to...

I was convinced before the draft that he was going to be the best offensive player taken, including the linemen. He's so explosive and can be utilized in so many different ways. He's going to be really fun to watch.
