I was so looking forward to this season. Thought it would take him a few weeks to get back into the swing of things, and he was improving each game he played in... Thought it was only a matter of time til he was back in shape, hopefully by Christmas being the same old D Rose. I have tickets to the January 4th game against ... Atlanta I think. This will be the 4th year in a row I go to the UC to see the best player in a Bulls uniform since Michael Jordan and miss out because he won't play. So depressing... you also have to consider his teammates and the entire Bulls fanbase/organization in this. How the hell are we all supposed to react to this? This team centers around Rose and he's gone every single year. I think it's seriously time to start considering possibly another option at PG... Teague isn't it, unfortunately.

I was at this game, shit was crazy. The atmosphere of the stadium changed IMMEDIATELY when Flynn entered. Soon as he started walking onto the field for the first time, the crowd came to their feet in applause. He may not have a great arm but he can work this offense and he can put us in a place to succeed without Rodgers. He'll be starting Thursday, seeing as Rodgers will likely not be back. But aside from the very first drive of the game, Tolzien did nothing. We were down 23-7 when Flynn came in midway through the third. The Vikings never scored again, and we tied the game in the final 2 minutes to throw it to overtime. A stupid playcall at the first drive of overtime inhibited us from scoring a TD and winning it then and there. This game made me realize some things, though: 1. Our receivers are not that good. Individually, in fact, they're pretty average. And as a group, they're barely above average. Rodgers has been making them look amazing for the past 5 years or so. Scott Tolzien is a decent passer and has a good arm, I'll give him that. And even with that decent arm, they were not able to get separation from the VIKINGS secondary. I watched the Vike CB's go one on one with them throughout the day and nobody could get open downfield. It was horrendous. 2. While our defense is bad, at least they seem to be able to stop the teams in the red zone. This was the Vikings, however.. they shouldnt' even be getting to the red zone. But people need to take the panic button off the D. It wasn't until the game against Chicago where Rodgers went down that the D started to crumble. Constant 3-and-outs by our horrid offense have anything to do with the Defense not being able to hold their own late in the games? I think that's possible... 3. Eddie Lacy for President. 4. I don't know how to feel about a tie. We didn't lose which is good, but it wasn't a win. Meh.

This is something new and different for me I guess. Let me know what you think. If there's something that really stands out to me that I don't like it's the text. There isn't a lot of space to work with for it and I'm not sure what to do..

JF4L - Nominating him because he's a good all-around sports fan and well-rounded member. Like Monsters, but bonus point for not being a fan of a rival team like Monsters is. BigBen - Helpful, polite poster in all different sports. Might not post as much as many others but his contributions are quality and should be recognized. Phail - I don't post with him much but I've read quite a few of his and he always contributes to conversation positively. Keeps discussion active and on track. Also active in the politics section. Me - Might as well submit my name. Don't think I have the credentials that anybody else has but I've been here a while and I think I typically make good posts. A couple other names that I don't have much to say for is Ngata, Chernobyl (though he hasn't been here long), Sean, and Socal. It's a lot of nominations but a lot of them have already been nominated so nothing new lol. Edit- I forgot Trident.

I didn't skip the main storyline I just avoided doing it straight up. I did side quests, then one part of the main story. More side quests, train skills, part of main story. That way it didn't dull the experience of the game.

The shootouts are fun to watch but it's a stupid way to decide a winner. This may be a suggestion on the more radical side but what about 2 periods of OT, both 10 minutes (or 5 minute) long? The teams switch sides of the ice for the second OT period. Both periods are 4v4 hockey. Edit- And maybe the home team gets to pick which side of the ice they are on first.

Yeah I always say I trust outside sources more than agents sometimes. Outside sources usually don't have a motive to sway one way or another..

Yeah, and neck injuries always have the potential to be career ending, especially if they leave on a stretcher, which I think he did. Even before Chmura said this I was thinking that I would be a bit surprised if his career didn't end here, much like Nick Collins (please come back )

The worst move of his career was signing Flacco to that ridiculous contract and demanding that contract was the worst move of Flacco's career because he'd still have Boldin and the team would be in much better shape but he clearly would rather make as much money as possible rather than actually win games. I mean, I guess most players try and get as much money as they can but Flacco has to know he didn't deserve that pay day he really hurt his team. These guys get one giant contract, and Flacco earned it. You're basing your opinion of him on 7 games. You simply want to be right about Joe Flacco when you are not. He has never been a bad quarterback and certainly ins't now. He's pretty much Ben 2.0. Rarely gonna light up the stat sheet but you'll be in the game. He is what he is, and he's good enough with the way Baltimore is constructed. Yeah but that one giant contract shouldn't be based off of one year.

I wasn't saying it's a bad game or anything and I actually appreciated the fact that they tried to really change it up this time around. I don't mind the game I'm just not excited by it. It kind of happens a lot with me specifically how when a game doesn't blow me away, I kinda reminisce about older games that made me fall in love with the series. Call of Duty 4-6, and Assassins Creed II and Brotherhood, are two of the major ones. I haven't really loved the latest games from the series, and I'm probably gonna get ACIV so hopefully it's fun but maybe I should borrow it first.. Is it for X360 if so then I'll check it out.

I usually don't really go ham on black friday but I might this year. ACIV, Arkham Origins, maybe even BF4 though I didn't like BF3. Just since it's so cheap. I'll have to check it all out.

I can't count how many times i've been spawned infront of someone and quite a few times i was spawned in between two enemies, killed the one infront but the one behind me killed me. I've also spawned right next to enemies also spawning, fun times. Yea, granted I suck at this one so my experience is probably reflected in my complaining. But I play kill confirmed frequently and the spawn is dreadful. I don't really care anymore as the game is still relatively fun now that I'm playing with friends (even though I suck and win a lot of games because they are actually good) but I still find myself and many of my friends bitching about the spawns, the maps being too big causing for slow ass games and so on. I've officially taken the role of the decoy. If you're talking about Ghost Ops then yeah I think some maps are way too big. For example, the jungly one with the mineshaft... I ran from my spawn, then got to a building and was like, wow I've made it to the other side of the map, now what... nope. That was only halfway across. There's another one that's like a floating city or something where there was a bomb hit the town... idk. Just some maps are really frigging big and it's unnecessary. Also I hate all the weird crap that goes on in the maps. One time this building I was next to blew up and it freaked me out. Then I died cuz I was staring at the building and yelling at it lol. Yea I'm gonna try different game modes. But only two of the maps are really playable for me, the rest are either meh, or just noooo!! The Forrest one and the castle one are the worst. When I play by myself, once the loading goes in for that castle map I automatically quit. I'm just not gonna purchase the games IW make and stick with treyarch. The game is good, but just not my cup of tea. lol. Now I see the reason why that guy at gamestop that I ignored asked me if I wanted that 3 day back guarantee thing that I said no to.. Oh really I actually love the castle map it's one of my favorites lol. but I could see why it would suck for some. And as for the bolded part this is really the first game made by IW that I haven't really liked right away. I've always thought that they did multiplayer better than Treyarch, with the exception of MW3 which was fun, but forgettable. It's the only one I don't go back to and play. Enjoyed it for the time, though. I guess I'm just a huge fan of the multiplayer system that IW brought out. It started with CoD4 with the 1 weapon (with good variation in options), one attachment, one secondary (all semi automatic handguns), 3 perks, 1 grenade, 1 stun grenade, and 3 standard killstreaks that were effective at changing the tide but not overbearing on the opposing team. It was simple, yet effective in creating a fun, immersive, and fair playing field. World at War tried to expand on it a bit by increasing the amount of weapons and perks, and I don't get why people argue me that World at War was (for a WW2 rendition of Cod4) pretty successful at copying the MP system. MW2 also followed the same system but they expanded the amount of secondary weapon types you could pick from, which received big complaints from players cuz you could put an RPG on or whatever. Also that infinite ammo perk was kinda cheap. If that game had the feature where putting a grenade launcher on a gun replaces your perk 1 slot... that game would have been much more well received imo. Now you got X amount of things you can put on your class, various combinations of 30 perks, 20 potential attachments per gun, 7 different primary weapon types, and 3 different versions of killstreak, all fully customizable. I'm not saying all this customization is a bad thing but it just strays from the basics, which is what I typically fall in love with in video games. EDIT- I found a word to describe playing call of duty these days: overwhelming. There's just too much for the average video game player to grasp, imo.
