    He's not doing anything. The Wild have been massively outplayed so far in this series. If it wasn't for Dubnyk, the Jets would have scored at least 12 goals by now. You also can't get any goals when the Jets defense limit the amount of shots.

     

    I did not like the shit the Wild pulled at the end of the game. Take the loss and move on. The series isn't over yet.

    I haven't seen too much of that so far that seems obnoxious, but I imagine the pitching changes might decrease as the players adjust with the change as the season progresses.

     

    I got a chance to see a full game today and checked out the new rules in action. You're definitely right about that. Mound visits are limited as are bullpen mound warmups. I hope this doesn't cost the pitchers in the long run.

     

    Caught the end of the Brewers game last night. Last strike and they pull it out :)

    I'm enjoying the faster pitch count so far this season. It's increased the speed of the game and is preventing unnecessary visits to the mound and exits from the batter's box.

    Now if only we can cut back on pitching changes.

    I've got a job as a laundry attendant at Great Wolf Lodge. Just finished my first official week today and will be going to afternoons starting on Sunday. I'm pretty much guaranteed 40 hours a week. I also get a lot of perks with the job, which is pretty cool.

     

    Afternoons are from 2:30-11:00 PM, so I'll try to drop in on TGP and say hi for a bit after I get home. :)

    Trump is also slowly refilling the swamp. Not saying his selections of Tillerson and his other big business compatriots + all of his generals were the greatest idea ever. But it did at least take some of the lifetime politicians out of those vital roles (yes, I realize there is good and bad to that).

     

    Now? Trump is just removing those people that didn't have the political experience and putting in their stead lifetime scum sucking crusty shit stains.

     

    Latest example -- war hawk John Bolton replacing McMaster.

     

    Fuck these warhawking sons of bitches.

     

    I know there are a lot of important issues facing out country.. BUt to me personally... I really want two things. TWO. Fiscal responsibility and an end to this love for war and nation building we have settled into.

     

    I don't think we will see a president committed to either of those principles.

    YEAH! Raptors snap Houston's 17 game win streak and sweep the season series! What a game!

     

    EDIT: 8 in a row after demolishing the Knicks today! That puts the Raptors up 3 on Boston pending their game vs. Indiana.

     

    EDIT 2: Pacers win! Raps 3.5 up now!

    My favorite suggestion to reduce tanking is to base lottery odds on wins after elimination from playoff contention. With that you still help the bad teams because the worse your team is the more opportunities you'll have to boost that stat, but ultimately you're rewarding wins. Now it doesn't quite account for the truly terrible teams, but it'd be a step in the right direction. I also think you could balance it out in a hybrid system where odds are still partially based on standings, but it would give you what you want, which is a system that would ultimately reward winning games down the stretch.

    Agreed on all counts.

    If the playoffs started today, the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the East would play each other in the first round. The 3rd and 4th best in the West would play each other. Time to scrap this dumb fucking playoff system.

    But MUH RIVALRIES!

     

    Joke aside, I agree. This is really dumb. Jets could have a brutal start vs. the Predators for example.
