This is good news. Now they just need to try to fill the many hole in the secondary and DL as well as the ILB spots...

Update: Browns match Jags offer sheet to Alex Mack
CribbsForTheWin replied to ATL_Predator's topic in AFC
So what's this do for the whole TJ Ward situation. I want to bring him back, but I'd rather have Byrd I believe. If Mack signs elsewhere for more than we are willing to match, and we lose TJ Ward and cant sign Jairus Byrd, that would be about the worst possible situation. -
This was big for them. Was hoping the Browns would take a good hard look at him if he hit the free agency, but they locked up a good one.
-
Yes, he's fallen off a little bit since his injuries to I believe the pectoral and I also want to say he had a labrum injury. He's still a solid player, just wasn't quite worth the money he was due to make. Plus, we're trying to get younger. But this also makes ILB a huge need this offseason.

Aaron Hernandez Found Guilty of 1st Degree Murder
CribbsForTheWin replied to BLUE's topic in General NFL Talk
This dude is unreal. -
He gets a decent amount of what I like to call the "fun stats." That being INTs and TDs. But he gets thrown at a decent amount and doesn't have a very high percentage of PDs and lets up a large number of completions. I think he would be a decent No2 CB, though that ranking suggests a middle of the pack No3/Nickel type CB. With the amount of players in their secondary and linebacker core becoming free agents, and lack of a first round pick, it was crucial for them to get a couple of their players re-signed. I'd bet on Meriweather if another secondary man, and I could definitely see Orakpo and Rob Jackson from the LBs.

Well, they said that Dan Quinn was a real possibility, but I guess we didnt want to wait till after the Superbowl... Not real sure why not, we were the only team in the damn league without a headcoach.
-
I'm gonna say they did some things right, but I also feel like they were the reason that we were unable to find a coach right away because they kept dropping out. However, I do like Pettine. Was never a fan of Lombardi's "talent evaluation" or Banner's stinginess with money. I like Farmer and Pettine better than I like the Lombardi/Banner/Chud. Even though I did like Chud, the other guys brought him down.

I'm fine with that. Rex Grossman became my favorite player in the NFL last season when I was working with the Skins. He's the man.
-
IDK... I'm on the edge with this one. 2 years ago the Skins offense was good. Last year he seemed to abandon the run too soon, even when it was working. One game I think Alfred Morris had like 100 yards in the first half and only got like 4 carries in the second half.

Update: Browns match Jags offer sheet to Alex Mack

I agree that I'd much rather franchise Ward than Mack, but we have plenty of cap space to sign both of them back. I dont think that Mack wants to come back though. -
IDK. I dont mind the move for the Redskins. I guess we will find out if Gruden made Dalton a decent quarterback, or if Dalton is a solid QB and Gruden's offense made him look worse than he really was. Personally I think it's more of the former than the latter, however some of the play calling was headscratching. Having become a Redskins fan this past year, I dont know if he and McVay can be worse for Griffin than The Shanahans, especially some of Kyle's questionable play calling. I think Gruden's biggest obstacle to overcome will be no first round picks in either of the next two years, or the fact that an already bad defense is supposed to lose a lot of its better players. Orakpo, Jackson, Riley, and Fletcher are all Free Agents/Retiring. DHall is a FA as is Meriweather and Doughty. The line was awful, so that would have been something to fix anyways. It's just that a team with a bunch of holes already is going to have more. On the bright side he has the full cap space to play with whereas Shanahan didnt. All that being said, I think they would have been better off with a defensive minded coach because of the lack of defensive production and players.

Really wanted this guy in the draft last year. Haven't done a whole lot in the sig/wallpaper business for a while, but that might change now that I'm back in school and have a job where I don't really have to do a whole lot. Thoughts?

Love it! Good work.

Who's all playing? I don't usually play unless it tops 300 million, and still not always then. 400 and I'm playing about 75% of the time. 500 and if I hear about it I'm in. I got mine, and it sure is fun to dream about what to do with all that money if you should win. What would you do with that kind of money, and would you take the lump sum, or the installments? Personally, I go the lump sum.

QB - RB - RB - WR - Calvin Johnson WR - Flex - TE - Jimmy Graham Def - Saints K - Garrett Hartley RBs Ben Tate Rashad Jennings Toby Gerhart Adrian Peterson WRs Pierre Garçon Torrey Smith Hakeem Nicks QBs Jay Cutler Ben Roethlisberger I don't even know this week. I somehow managed to get the number one seed with this team, but I'm not liking my chances. Thoughts?

Kanye West's new video/song released
CribbsForTheWin replied to BLUE's topic in General Entertainment
I hate Kanye. This may be one of the worst songs I've heard from him too, even though I like a few of his songs. One of the worst videos I've ever seen too. -

He's only their third coach since 1969 when Chuck Noll took over. I never really thought he'd be on the hot seat this year. Next year I can see it. Stability is a great thing in the NFL. Yes he took over a great team, but he is a good coach. I would have to believe if he got canned from the Steelers he would be a HC for another team right away. He wouldnt become a coordinator or positions coach like some others have done. He has had success in this league.

If you could add either person to your team

Dez Bryant. But it's close. We need WR and RB, but I think we'd win more with Dez than Marshawn Danny Bateman or Earl Wlkinson -
It looks good. I can't read anything, but aesthetically it looks very nice.

I'm just wondering what the plan with Garret Gilkey is. Looked pretty good in preseason, and then Cousins was chosen to start over him. Then since their returns its looking like Pinkston and Lauvao are/have been given shots before him. I know he was a 7th rounder from a small school so maybe their just giving him time to groom, but I would like to see what he could do given an opportunity.

RG3 because the Browns need a QB and DL is a strength of ours. Sebastian Janikowski or Matt Prater -
Of their final 8 games, Washington faces only 3 teams have a record above .500 and they are all at home. Watch out for this team to make run again.
