Backstabbing and Betrayal, Let's Play Diplomacy
Barracuda replied to RazorStar's topic in The Sideline
My sincere apologies fellas. I meant to turn them in last night and it just slipped my mind. -
NFL Network Wants To Add Mayock To Thursday Night Booth
Barracuda replied to Favre4Ever's topic in General NFL Talk
Haha. I read Vin's post but just the thought of them together was what I was referring to. But, it's okay I'm not reading impaired thank you for your concern though. Sorry I commented about the Mike & Gus tandem after it was confirmed Gus would not be doing it. I should know that once it's confirmed the topic before is completley off-limits and no one is allowed to talk or think about it. My bad. -
It's not freedom of speech if it harms the company, then it's defamation. Which is illegal.

Gus and Mayock? Holy shit. -
At least it was LeBenedict. Congrats Rose.

I don't get the TO hate either. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of him at all but you can't deny facts. He has several records held with Jerry Rice, who we all know is one of the greatest players to ever step on the field. I'm not calling Terrell Owens Jerry Rice because he's far from it. But he has been a dominant receiver all throughout his career maybe with an exception of the past two years. I also don't think McNabb should be on the list for reasons said earlier in the thread.

I'm not sure but after falling that far people obviously think his knee is bad. And with talk of microfracture surgery, I doubt Bowers plays as a rookie. But if it's not as bad as everyone thinks it is he should be on the field.

Police: Former Giants, 49ers DB McQuarters shot in back
Barracuda replied to BLUE's topic in General NFL Talk
Wishing him a speedy recovery. -
LOL. Maybe it was because he's not to great outside of press coverage and can easily be beaten by faster receivers on short routes becasue of his slow first step and backpedal. Maybe, just maybe it was because he has little experience in zone coverage. But I doubt it was racism.

I let him win. :grinno:

A Were able to build up a run stuffing line with a great pass rusher on at the end while also adding several draft picks. Also able to grab some depth and possible starters in the secondary and Oline along with depth at RB. The Owen Marecic pick is the only one I'm really indifferent on. Very happy with our draft.

As we all know, there are several trade rumors about Kevin Kolb. The Eagles believe he's worth a first rounder...but most disagree. He's not worth a first rounder, sorry Andy Reid. The Cardinals are in desperate need for a QB. Last night the Cardinals took Patrick Peterson a really good pick at number 5. But does this mean they have a deal going on for Kolb or another FA, or do they just plan on drafting another second-tier QB in the later rounds?
-
Yeah, that's not what I was saying. That would just be stupid. I may have worded it funny, I'm not sure but I meant it like since the Cardinals are not taking a QB in the draft, does that mean they possibly have a deal in place for Kolb or another free agent?

TOP 10? DO MORE I LOVE IT.

I'd be happy with .500

By no means are the Falcons 'losers' in this draft. They obviously believe another quality receiver can put them over the edge and onto a Superbowl berth. They had the best record in the NFL last year and an addition of Jones can only make them better. The only problems they have are depth on the defensive front. By adding Dent in the third round today, they added just that depth to the defensive front. And I'm a Browns fan. so I obviously love the trade for other reasons not because I have a hard on for Julio Jones or the Falcons. But besides being a Browns fan, it was a good pickup for the Falcons. Sure if the Falcons go like 9-7 next year then criticism of this trade is warranted but as of now we can only judge it by what happens next year. They are putting all their chips on the table for a Superbowl berth this year. Anyways: Winners- Chiefs, Patriots, Bucs Losers- Raiders, Lions

So micro-fracture surgery usually take a year or more to recover. I absolutely wouldn't mind the Browns taking a chance on him here in the second round. His talent is worth the risk now.
-
Ah did not see that.
-
What if they surprise everyone and take Kaepernick or Stanzi or Mallett?
-
Lol. That's great.
-
Yeah, Falcons think they have the tools to be a legit Superbowl contender, and they do. With a few defensive pieces I think they could give everyone a run for their money.
-
With this pick, the Falcons obviously believe they are a legit Superbowl contender, and they very well could be. Like blotsfan said they wanted something to put them over the top and in that upper echelon of teams. However, I still think they need to upgrade their defensive line and cornerbacks. Other than that they're really set to go the distance.
