Yep, heard it on SC that Schwartz told his players during the preseason to do that if they were to win.

Definitely seems like it. As great as Jordy is, I feel he still doesn't get the full credit he deserves around here.

The playoffs have been outstanding so far with 2 KC extra-inning wins and the O's comeback today down 3 in the 8th. Hope it continues. -

A little over 2 weeks ago I did a charity 5k in honor of a girl who graduated my HS 3 years after I did who passed away last year from brain cancer not too soon after she had graduated college. Over 600 people ran the race in its first year being held. The events that day combined with all the prior donations amounted to over $50k put toward brain and spine tumor research.

Without a doubt the greatest playoff game I've ever seen. I'm glad I decided to watch and catch most of it to see such a historic game. -
If you could remove, change, and add a rule in the NFL, which would they be?
Crash3021 replied to BwareDWare94's topic in General NFL Talk
1. Remove: Celebration penalties: Let whoever scores do their own thing and not have to worry about being penalized for it, who really cares honestly. 2. Change: I would like to see the rules go further with change-of-possession plays being blown dead: The initial change in this rule a few years ago was making down-by-contact plays reviewable, which was a step in the right direction. But Fartwaffles and I were discussing this a bit in the Bears/Jets Game Day thread. As disadvantageous as it would be to the offense, allow advancement of the ball if a review of a dead ball play results in a change of possession instead of just possession at the spot of the dead ball. (The Jets were pretty much screwed out of a TD against the Bears because the head ref blew the whistle and didn't let the play continue when David Harris clearly strip-sacked Culter and Demario Davis' returning the fumble to the endzone for the would-be go-ahead score and most likely would've won that game needing only a FG at the end which would've put them up 29-27) Maybe that's too drastic a change in the rule, but it doesn't hurt to just think about modifying that rule even further IMO. But I don't think it will ever change because of the offense being at such a disadvantage in this instance and I agreed with Fartwaffles that it encourages too much play after the whistle despite the defense wanting to carry out the play for a potential TD. 3. Add: Nothing: The NFL has way too many rules and I really can't think of anything at the moment that needs to be put in place. -

Niners D was stellar holding the Eagles to 0 points and just barely over 200 total yards. The pass rush is still non-existent for the most part, but the rush defense excelled holding Shady in check (and I know a lot of that had to do with the Eagles offensive line missing a few key starters, but they still have to tackle one of the shiftiest backs in the league) They smartly returned to the type of smash-mouth football in the 2nd half (Frank Gore ) that should be the identity of this team instead of having Kaep chuck the ball all over the yard because they won't be going anywhere if he does that. Despite the special teams miscues, they remained resilient and came out with the W fitting the D shut the door with a game-clinching goal line stand.

Larry Donnell

Gotta give Larry Donnell some love leading the team in catches and being very productive so far, I doubt anybody saw that coming at the start of the season. He's had such a nice emergence this year so far and his size makes him a very viable target for Eli. If they can keep him involved in the offense as much as they have so far, he's going to have a great season and give the G-Men a very solid additional weapon in the passing game.
