I don't know about straight up releasing the guy. They should at least try to get something for him. Plenty of teams will trade something for a guy with his talent regardless of his issues.

I think this is more about if they end up trading down in the draft. Depending on how things fall with the QB's and DE's Amukamara could still be up for the Lions at #13. If neither, I can see them going OL to protect their glass QB before they reach for a guy like Jimmy.

He's got a point. I hear Raheem and Mark talk about following how the Patriots do things but they clearly need to pick up their no non-sense attitude also. This type of thing is only going to get worse if they keep making excuses for their players.
If they want to get winning then they really just need to get rid of Aqib. He may help us in games but down the line he is going to end up costing us some important ones by getting into trouble. Just find his replacement now. Get a high character guy with a great work ethic.

So this guy wants a system that will turn the NFL into MLB, giving them less fans and revenue. Yeah, makes all kinds of sense.

I think they said this last year also. I won't hold my breath until I see him finishing out a season.

How was he a victim of the real estate market?
Everyone keeps saying "poor guy, he might lose his rings" but my thought is "what did you do to owe FOUR times what you actually have in assets??"
He invested into property when there was money to be made. Once the real estate market crashed he started losing money and accumulated debt. It's happened to a lot of people.

If I was drafting I would personally pick A.J. Green. Julio's stock may have rose a bunch from the combine but there's a reason A.J. was thought to be a top 5 pick even before the combine. He's an amazing play maker.

I don't really watch it much. I might watch an episode here and there every few months for nostalgic reasons. The quality of the show is just too poor for me to bother, and it's not nearly as interesting as it was when I was 10-14 years old. Like many I moved on to being a fan of actual fighting (UFC) when I got older.
