  1. The tweenpop episode was unbelievable. I like South Park okay, and I think some episodes are really good but I'm not a huge fan. But this was a fantastic coming of age episode, it was funny and honest at so many points during the show.

    Lebron better than Jordan?

When Jordan was on his own, like Lebron was in Cleveland, he averaged 37 ppg. When he wasn't, he was still a MUCH more dangerous defender. Sure Lebron has more rebounds and assists, but he was originally a point guard who thinks about the pass, and he's 6'6" and 270 lbs! When Jordan got double teamed he STILL scored. All in all, Jordan is the greatest all around player, not to mention his leadership skills and presence on the court. It's a shame people forget about defense so quickly, Lebron can't touch MJ's defensive tenacity.

    Forum Banner Request

It's free regardless from what I understand, just google it I suppose. My buddy did it for me so I'm pretty clueless.

    Forum Banner Request

I would like a forum banner for my message board I just opened. It's called House of Surprising Fun, and these are the colors I appreciate anything that could be done, thanks!

    Forum Banner Request

Because before it was like hosf.smffreehosting.com or something long and tedious. A forum member went ahead and reserved a free .tk for us since it would be easier to remember and look a little more legit. Just a banner =)

    Obama roasts Trump

Yeah that was awesome, almost as awesome as him coming out to Hulk Hogan's theme "Real American." Trump running for pres is already a joke, may as well make light of the situation.

    Forum Banner Request

Thanks Favre4Ever... good idea. Well it's a very general discussion forum, and I'd say these are the main topics in order: Music > Movies & TV > Pro Wrestling > Off-Topic So it's pretty general. Here's the link if that'll help. http://surprisingfun.tk/ I wouldn't blatantly advertise but if you know the name of the forum you could just google it anyway. I don't really have any ideas on how I would like it to look, I haven't had my own forum in like 5 years. If anyone helping thought it would be a good idea to put pictures on it, I'm sure I could think of some things I'd like on there.

    Your favorite band's worst song

Haha sorry, I played that first album out really hard when I first got it. And I didn't really like anything else they did, and then the first album kinda lost it's fire with me.
  10. Honestly of the 2, you have to give it to Jimi because he was innovator, and WAY more influential than Clapton. I mean all Clapton really is, is a Robert Johnson imitator from his guitar work to the way he sings.

    Your favorite band's worst song

It starts out sooooooo good, but yes then they try to become an experimental prog band and don't know how.
  12. Whoa whoa whoa guys, there's an awful lot of fact giving here and I don't appreciate it. Lets just be casually informative, and discuss this in the parameters of stereotypes and hearsay. Look, Ron Paul is a lunatic because I haven't heard one mainstream tv personality agree with him, and none of the other people that actually get a lot of votes and support of the electoral college agree with him either. You guys are just conspiracy theorists if you don't think everybody on television, in office, and in charge of giving us information aren't telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help us God. P.S. these colors don't run.

    Your favorite band's worst song

I agree Blaine, when I liked Audioslave I always skipped that song for the more memorable stuff.
  14. I go to Sputnik Music Forum, Music Banter, and the Milk Carton. >_> I comez here for teh football!! Doesn't mean I can't try to kick you guys some knowledge on some things I know about, while you keep me informed about football of which I know little. So yes I like this place, but I'm not really complaining I'm entitled to my posts as much as the next person. Don't get all sour on me man!!!
  15. And this is from my post in the original Greatest Rock Guitarist thread: lolololololol

Javon Walker working out in Florida.

It would be fun to see him back, I'm a sucker for comeback stories.
  17. Out of what I see, Raging Bull, The Wrestler, and the Hurricane are vastly superior movies. But... it's because they're not really sports movies at all.

And this is where the Guitarist Tourney takes an unforgivable left turn.
  20. What more reason do you need to legalize drugs? I think that the obvious reality of doing more on the war against drug addiction is about 10x more important, considering the law isn't stopping ANYONE from doing drugs. I won't speed in my car for respect of the law, I pay my city taxes, and I'm generally a very law abiding citizen. However I smoked weed every single day for 4 years, if the drug ban isn't stopping someone as timid and respectful of the law as me, imagine all the people out there that need actual help and only get resistance. Utterly stupid. I think you'd be referring to the Gold Exchange Standard not the Gold Standard. We still had the ability to set the price of the dollar out of thin air. Wow, here you just don't know what you're talking about. How has the government stepped in to lower costs in health care? Do you realize that a bottle of prescription medicine that may cost between $50-$100 without insurance, and $10-20 WITH insurance... is typically like $15 without insurance in ANY other developed country? The drug companies and all the middle men (who are vigorously backed by the US Government) make medicine 10x more expensive than it has to be. If we actually DID have a free market with medicine, there would be real competition, and people would have to come down in prices and actually offer the best stuff possible. Instead they just have to buy out the FDA, hospitals, doctors, and insurance companies, and guess who fronts the bill? YOU DO with the price of Rx's. Okay, where are you getting this information at? Just because Ron Paul runs under the Republican banner does NOT mean he is a typical neo-con. I hate Reaganomics as much as anybody, except for maybe Ron Paul. Ron Paul wants to eliminate all income tax actually, and agrees with a lot of what the Fair Tax has to say so long as there isn't a high national sales tax on things implemented instead. Get with the program man.
  21. How many people do you know that haven't done drugs because they're illegal? I know about zero people like that, how many people wait until they're 21 to get drunk for the first time because of legality issues? Do you realize that we waste billions and billions of tax payer money and police time by policing a war on drugs that is completely un-winnable. How about this, how about we make drugs legal and spend the TINIEST FRACTION of that money on drug education and rehabilitation centers. Are you really that naive to think that wouldn't do 10x more damage on the war against drug addiction. I'm not biased either, I grew up with a heroin addict for a dad and I think that drugs being illegal is ridiculous. One major reason for marijuana being illegal is that the hemp market would stampede the tree/paper business, which is helping destroy our planet. Watch CNN, you'll see senators and business owners, we live in a government that caters to major money makers and money makers alone. The gold standard is stupid? Do you realize that our fake ass money is printed by the Federal Reserve that is a PRIVATIZED bank that has absolutely NO affiliation with our government and they dictate the amount of money being printed, and can cause inflation at the drop of a hat. (see: The Great fucking Depression) Oh, and btw... do you know when our country was at it's most prosperous? When we were an isolationist country and focused on growing and trading, it's also known as the Industrial Revolution. But unfortunately we're too pussy to do something like that again, it would be really easy to do with expansion of solar energy. (Germany has 30% of it's entire energy tied up in solar energy) But the problem is we owe Saudi Arabia bucketloads of money and if we stay dependent upon oils they're pacified and won't collect. So the only other money making venture for our country to partake in is war, and unfortunately that's been our cash crop since World War I and it hasn't stopped. The world hates us, I don't see why you think isolationism is absurd. P.S. Medicare is unconstitutional because that's not the government's job to provide healthcare, we are not a socialist country. Sure there was an amendment to make medicare constitutional, but there's a reason it had to be amended. Honestly I'm a huge fan of socialism, but we live in a greedy capitalist economy and we're the descendents of power-hungry puritanical murderers and I don't think they should be in charge of our healthcare. I mean look at the corruption in our government, and all the ridiculous things that have happened like them refusing to acknowledge all the warnings and documents about 9/11 happening, and I could go on forever. And you want THEM being the sole owner of your health insurance? Why not have a choice and thus opening up the free market of insurance companies, and make them compete and actually lower prices. Instead you're going to be butt-hurt by all the taxes you're paying on it and be stupid enough to call it free. Think for yourself man, if you spend 3 seconds reading between the lines of the newspaper and not allowing tv personalities to tell you how to think it's pretty easy to figure out how much everything is set up to favor rich people.

    Greatest Rock Guitarist: Elite Eight

...wait, did anybody nominate Allan Holdsworth? We might have to start over.
  23. I feel him on that, forcing Civil Rights has done next to nothing for the public opinion. People that didn't want blacks in still made it obvious, and housing segregation was still forced through Great White Flight. But what Civil Rights did was open a bunch of government-control laws, when the free market would've taken care of this by itself. Lets say McDonalds doesn't allow blacks in their restaurant, and Burger King needs to make a buck. They allow blacks, McDonalds does the same to keep up and the same conclusion is arrived at regularly. But instead the government adopted the Civil Rights Act while yes having a noble cause also entailed a lot of government regulation garbage. It's like the Patriot Act, too much garbage along with it. He's not saying he's against the principles of Civil Rights, but all the extra b.s. The only people that try to say Ron Paul is racist are people that are either stupid, or have an ulterior motive such as getting their bullshit president elected.

    Greatest Rock Guitarist: Sweet Sixteen

Exactly Sean, and influence is DEFINITELY a factor in the Greatest guitarist tournament. This is not a best guitarist, or most technically sound guitarist, this is about the greatest. That would be like having a contest for The Greatest Inventor and Thomas Edison being thrown out because all of his inventions are elementary and aren't as technically good as the Ipad. Hendrix's innovations with the electric guitar are unparalleled point blank, and I would put him over Eric Clapton because Eric Clapton sucks as a lead composer. (His own words btw) He's wonderful to fill your music with incredible riffs, and he can play really nice, but he's just a Robert Johnson copy; he even sings just like the man for crying out loud. Even though I like a lot of Clapton's work; Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page are two of the most overrated guitarists ever. (Especially considering how easy it is to tweak blues scales all day) They're good at what they do, they have good tone, but in style and composition they certainly don't stand alone amongst the greats.

    Greatest Rock Guitarist: Sweet Sixteen

Here's the thing, Lifeson may be more technically proficient than Hendrix, and he's certainly not as sloppy. BUT this tournament is the greatest ever, and not only could Jimi tear it up himself he's probably one of the 3 most influential rock'n'roll guitarists of all time, and out of those 3 definitely the most current. The man deserves his dues as one of the greats, and although I prefer Lifeson all day I had to put Jimi over him.
