The FSU-SEC flirtation could soon become a legit marriage
Milla4Prez63 replied to FSUViking's topic in NCAA Sports
I'd rather they just stay in the ACC personally. -
Who looks good in your team's mini camps ?
Milla4Prez63 replied to Turry's topic in General NFL Talk
Adrian Clayborn has been the talk of Bucs camp, they say he is violent and physical with a nonstop motor. Donald Penn keeps saying he's never worked so hard in practice before. But he is also used to going up against Stylez G. White and his bad practice habits lol. Also hear good things about Bowers and Briscoe and of course the usual praise of Freeman and Mike Williams. -
I'll watch the beginning of this game, but not sure I can make it through the whole thing. I just can't watch much preseason action of teams that aren't the Bucs.

2011 Offensive & Defensive rookie of the year odds
Milla4Prez63 replied to Anthony's topic in General NFL Talk
You are right. If Dalton is having a solid season he will win. Voters love rookie QBs who play decently. It is tougher on WRs, Mike Williams tied Randy Moss' record for TD catches as a rookie but still never really had a shot at getting the award. I don't think Jones or Green get the award, I'm just not sure why people think Julio Jones is going to put up the numbers necessary to get enough attention to win the award when he is not even going to be a go to guy in his offense. -
Cardinals are too easy. The Vikings have a shot if McNabb plays well, but not a great one. But they are the only two I can see doing this.

2011 Offensive & Defensive rookie of the year odds
Milla4Prez63 replied to Anthony's topic in General NFL Talk
There is only so many catches to go around, and Roddy White is still Ryan's go to guy while Gonzalez is his safety valve. I'd be shocked if Julio Jones got more than 600 yards. Don't see how he is the favorite for OROY. Green may have a rookie QB, but he'll be that rookie's #1 target and will get lots of chances to produce. I don't see either winning OROY, but if I had to choose one I'd take AJ Green's chances over Julio. If we get a rookie QB who just does decently, he'll win. If not, I'm guessing it will be a RB. -
I don't think people know the difference between being an MVP candidate and actually winning it.

2011 Offensive & Defensive rookie of the year odds
Milla4Prez63 replied to Anthony's topic in General NFL Talk
I don't get the Julio Jones thing. Not only do WRs rarely win OROY, but Jones is the #2 WR and may even be the #3 option in the passing game. I would take AJ Green if I had to go with a WR in this bet, not only is he more talented but he is likely to be the focal point of the Bengals' passing game. Daniel Thomas should be a good underdog pick for OROY, usually RBs get the award because they transition to the NFL the best and he should be in line for a lot of carries in Miami. -
Rex Grossman says Redskins will win NFC East
Milla4Prez63 replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in NFC
When the odds are against you, the last thing you should do is not believe in yourself. If you don't believe you can do it, you probably won't do it. Now, I fully expect the Redskins to be horrible this year but crazier things have happened. Grossman is just trying to get his teammates to believe and be more of a leader on the team. -
Goodell will probably suspend him anyways, it has happened before. Plus with Talib having a track record, that won't help his cause. I fully expect him to be suspended for four games. But I agree that Goodell should just inform the Bucs of his decision ASAP.

Those are the five I'd pick if I had to take five. Though, I don't see the Jets missing the playoffs.

They didn't have many weapons other than Bowe last year. They added Steve Breaston and Jonathan Baldwin this offseason plus Tony Moeaki will be more experienced. It isn't absurd to think that the Chiefs are better than the Cowboys, who are highly overrated on an annual basis.

Bengals have received multiple calls about Carson Palmer
Milla4Prez63 replied to AllYouNeedIsLovie's topic in AFC
Mike Brown is letting his ego get in the way of business. He's angry that Carson Palmer doesn't want to play for him, so he's telling him to screw off while screwing his team in the process. If you can get a mid to high round draft pick for Palmer, it is a no brainer. Especially for a team that is now in rebuild mode. -
I don't know about the Rams, but the Chiefs should be ranked ahead of Dallas for sure IMO.
-
I don't expect Bennett to be starting over Bowers for long.
-
Craven/Busch is easily the best finish ever, it is easy to have a great finish at Daytona or Talladega.
-
The fanbase sold out every single game at RayJay until last year, fans aren't as bad as people think. The prices suck, economy sucks, and I think the lockout didn't help the Bucs' chances of selling out games much.

But on a serious note, Crompton was brought in because of how bad Coughlin has been in camp. Suprised they haven't cut Coughlin yet.

Fitz Sr. predicts Fitz Jr will come back home in 2012
Milla4Prez63 replied to FSUViking's topic in NFC
Who says the Vikings aren't built to win now? They were a dumb Brett Favre throw away from the Super Bowl two years ago. They sucked last year, but I think injuries and terrible QB play did them in. Who knows if McNabb can find himself again or if Ponder is for real, but isn't like this is a team that can't compete. Going into last season they were a favorite in the NFC. I think Fitz would have a better chance of winning a ring with the Vikings than the Cardinals, but if that is what he really wants he wouldn't sign with either.....he'd obviously sign with the Philiami Heagles. -
I don't see any team rushing to the Steelers' door trying to get Dennis Dixon as their starting QB anyways.

WUT HOW DARE YOU TALK BAD ABOUT CROMPDADDY
-
To me it seemed like Lumpkin and Armando Allen got the most reps at RB, but I wasn't paying that close of attention to it.
-
I wish I could go to a game, but can't afford it. Yesterday was my first time at RayJay actually. If I do go, I'll be sitting nosebleeders just like when I go to Magic games.

Had a good time at the night practice, it was my first time at RayJay and loved it. Some pics. LAST, BUT NOT LEAST............. CROMPDADDY!!!!!!1!111!!!!1!!1!!!!11!!!!!!1!1!!!1

I've heard good things, but he'll have to show it in preseason to have a shot at making the roster. He'll have to make the Bucs scared to put him on the waiver wire to get him on the practice squad, like Parker did last year. I'll be at the night practice tonight at RayJay so I'll get my first look at some of these players in person. Looking forward to it.
