    2020 Democratic Primary Race

Yeah, I was just reading some more of this stuff and some of the guys at work were talking about it too with the debate tonight. I don't understand how he has as much support as he does. Blows my mind... To be fair, I was ignorant of a lot of it until just recently, so i am hoping that is the case with his supporters as well.

All these attacks on Bloomberg are giving me a good laugh. His video implying there is no intelligence in being a farmer .... he claims it was taken out of context, and maybe that’s true, but not a great look. Now there’s a video that surfaced of him at a conference saying black and Latino men don’t know how to behave in the workplace ... lmao. What in the actual fuck. He also just officially qualified for the debate. I am looking forward to see him get slaughtered

You're totally right. More than likely absolutely nothing Sanders wants to do would pass as is. Saying that they would water it down is an understatement. Hell getting anything even close to anything he wants would be shocking. Even though Presidential powers have been growing out of control in recent years, there is still a pretty limited scope to their power. And even if he directs Nancy (assuming she keeps control and the Speakership)... I still don't think it would get done. GOP would be a non-starter and again... moderate democrats are going to take some serious goading. Also, I was reading an article earlier talking about how Biden's decline is nto even helping Bernie. All those moderate voters are just shifting to other candidates (mainly Bloomberg it looks like). Overall it does help Bernie though, for now, considering Bloomy was so low previously. Those voters reallllly don't want Bernie, man... lol. And you may have a point with this " negotiating from the middle " stuff but these are just normal people... normal voters. I highly doubt most of them really think about their candidate on that level. Found the article: https://www.axios.com/joe-biden-polling-bernie-sanders-bef6baf1-a231-45bd-be84-e5973080bc35.html

I don’t think a lot of moderates care as deeply about voting just to get rid of Trump as you probably believe. Obviously they dislike him, but a lot of people need a candidate that motivates them... gives them hope... Sanders doesn’t do that for those people. Again , that isn’t his fault. Just the way it is.

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

Very good point about the people up for re-election in Congress. I actually just read an article earlier this week talking about that possibility. That is Sanders wins the nomination -- which looks pretty likely, especially as the states voting get less white... That he (Sanders) could very well end up costing Democrats the House of Rep and there would be about 0 chance of claiming the Senate. Very , very interesting stuff. I've been changing my mind on this a lot.. The thought of a progressive vs a moderate taking the nomination. At some points during this process, I felt like it would help to have the progressive. Then I would change my mind later and think that was crazy.. then I was reading all these stories about Warren buttering up to the DNC elites so I was back on the progressive train.. and now that Pete looks like the clear #2 after two votes (again, still a lot can change)... I am beginning to think a progressive nominee is good news for Trump. I think I am gonna stick here though. But, also a good point by you... It might not even matter, because the Bernie people will probably riot if he loses (the nomination). lol

I just think he divides Democrats too much. Not saying that’s necessarily bad or even his fault. But uniting the moderate and progressive sides of the party doesn’t seem like (right now and just my opinion) something he is going to be able to accomplish. There are going to be too many Democrats that peel off and just don’t vote if Bernie has the nod. He will still get a lot of votes, don’t get me wrong. But it won’t be near enough.

Yang going out makes me sad. He’s genuinely a great human being. I like Tulsi but I don’t know how long that train is running for either. Idk if I can come around to any of the others. Bernie, Warren, Biden, and Pete are all complete non-starters for me. Assuming Tulsi doesn’t go the distance.... She doesn’t excite me but Klobuchar is probably thenext best option (just for me personally). Probably voting 3rd party again. Yay. Lmao Trump gonna sweep the leg vs Bernie. Those debates are going to be ugly AF. Lmao.

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

Yeah, like I was telling Blots (and like you mentioned). Even if it isn't rigged... There's a lot of things that line up to make it seem that way. |Regardless of the the truth is, the optics are insanely bad. Mayor Pete donating more than $20,000 to this app company... the app not working and thus results can't be released. We are 3 days after the fact and we still don't have them all. And the fact that the initial batch of results shows a Pete lead... and with more results being released the smaller and smaller his lead becomes... And then when his lead shrinks to almost the smallest it possibly can be... 0.1%, the DNC Chair comes out and demands a recount. Again, three days later and not until after Bernie is about to beat Pete. Just so bad. lol

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

Lmao. 97% of the votes are reported from Iowa. Bernie pulled within 0.1% of Mayor Pete.. and all of a sudden Tom Perez (DNC Chair) is calling for a recanvass. 3 days later. Right as Bernie is gonna take the lead. ROFL EDIT: Also Sean, I am not syaing that information is wrong... but the NY Times has Deval Patrick only getting 49 votes on the first vote total... Maybe that's just one random ass Black Hawk county precinct that isn't reported but... "Other" got 100 more votes total than Patrick did (again, according to the Times). Yang got 5% of the first votes, and (like me and many many others) most of us Yang supporters just left instead of realigning.

He should get crushed at the debates by both the moderators and the other candidates. Hopefully they can all agree that Bloomberg is a toad and the DNC is a sham.

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

Ya, crazy how that works isn't it? lol Iowa has only missed the Democratic nominee twice in the last 50 years. There were rumors and articles before about how the DNC was pushing hard for the moderates in the group, but that's obviously becoming reality. Biden was probably supposed to be the chosen one... but on account of him being a corpse, they had to shift lanes a bit. I still wouldn't be shocked if Warren pulls some stupid deal out of her ass, as she's slowly kinda edging a little more middle of the road. Mayor Pete can't even run the city he is mayor of... Where is this shit coming from? lmao

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

It’s just anecdotal and only for like 20 or so precincts across the state of people I talk to about local politics and stuff but almost all of them said then Bernie won going away and they have no idea how Pete is leading right now. Its pretty obvious the party saw huge Sanders numbers and shut that shit downnnnn . Even if he ends up pulling ahead (only 62% of precincts have been revealed ) it’s not gonna be the runaway it should’ve been.

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

I loved Mayor Pete's victory speech before a single vote was reported, lmao. "You shocked the nation, Iowa" Ya, at just how corrupt we are and how much of a stranglehold on Democracy the Dems have. Gross. I know this is obvious, but what a garbage system and process we have for electing a leader. Lmao.

Obviously I could be wrong because I don’t know the guy... but listening to him, to what he says, and the passion he says it with... I really don’t think his point is “ everyone should get fucked “. You don’t talk with that much energy and passion over wanting to fuck over more people. He’s talking about his sacrifice ... what he’s done to allow his child to go to school. He wants his sacrifices in time and money to be worth something — just like we all do. Under Warrens plan he suffers... his sacrifice means nothing... and he’s (rightly) annoyed by that. That’s just the Catch 22 of trying to fix the student loan issue. There’s gonna be a cutoff, there’s gonna be people who get double penetrated. On the contrary ... this guy is the trolley problem. Elizabeth Warren has decided to sacrifice him and many many other parents who have done the same and have already sacrificed so much to “fix” the issue for others. She’s choosing to pull the lever and kill the one to save five. (Idk what the actual percentage of kids who have parents pay for their college is so I’m just using the numbers from the basic trolley problem).

Did you watch or read that tweet at all? lol. He isn't talking about himself. He's comparing his own situation where he worked shit jobs and shifts and saved money to afford sending his daughter to school to that of a friend of his who made more and didn't save who would be bailed out by Warren. I think he is a lot more of a "regular person" than his friend is. And the bubble may not have burst yet, but you are already seeing some of that. Millennials aren't buying houses is just one example.

Hillary just came out and said nobody likes Bernie and that she won’t commit to supporting him if he gets the nomination. Lmao. After he bent the knee and sucked her cock in 2016, you’d think she be a little less of a cunt lmao https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/21/politics/hillary-clinton-bernie-sanders-documentary/index.html

Bernie apologizes for one of his people saying Biden has a corruption problem. bernie trying to please everybody is why he will never win.
  22. Ya know... I was really worried about this show. Bob Odenkirk is a great actor and Saul was a great character in a great show. Was there going to be any way for it to live up to the expectations? I wasn't so sure. But I really like being wrong in this types of situations. All of the reviews were mostly positive... Saying the show was great and that it definitely stands alone (or away from Breaking Bad) on its own merit. That is the resounding sentiment I have after episode one. This show has the potential to be a GREAT standalone project. They established a great narrative and clear direction moving forward. And that is also why I created a new thread -- because it doesn't need to be discussed within the Breaking Bad universe anymore, in my opinion. Use it or not... Whatever. What are your thoughts on the show?! Episode 2 tomorrow!
