  1. I think the biggest shit stain out of all of this is that while the Republicans jerk off one side of the aisle and Democrats jerk off the other side of the aisle over all this impeachment / Ukraine BS... that almost literally NOTHING is getting down by our Congresspeople. It's like most of them are just on vacation and making media rounds. Such a complete joke.

  2. Just now, Thanatos said:

This is the exact bullshit I'm talking about. Thank you for posting it so we can deal with this nonsense. First off, obligatory lmaoSaavedra. Anyone at the Daily Wire is nothing as a source or a journalist. That webzine is nothing more than a cesspool.

Secondly, this prosecutor was going to be fired, Ukraine had told us as much, because the man was corrupt as hell. This post lays it out, and I encourage you to read it. It's not biased towards Biden, but it does explain Viktor Pshonka, the prosecutor-general (links are at the bottom) https://imgur.com/gallery/Xu86rtk

Biden is not doing this of his own accord. This is the Obama admin pressuring Ukraine to fire a corrupt prosecutor. The right wing nutcases continue to make it out like Biden is going after him because of the case versus the company his son worked at. A case that had gone nowhere for two years and was completely stalled out. This part, of course, they leave out because it doesn't fit their conspiracy narrative.

The video speaks for itself. Just because someone who isn't like or is of the opposition means very little than obviously they have motivation to spread it. Doesn't give Biden an excuse... U|nless you can prove that the video is doctored and spliced together... Uh... He's admitting to pressuring a foreign government.

Without pressure from Joe Biden, European diplomats, the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations, Shokin would not have been fired, said Daria Kaleniuk, co-founder and executive director of the Anti Corruption Action Centre in Kiev. -- USA Today

The fact that this went above Biden and was a problem by the Obama administration itself is heard... But again, isn't a valid excuse for asserting power over foreign governments like that. The fact that Biden didn't do anything or speak up and still hasn't makes him just as culpable.

You're doing exactly what you say you dislike about Trump voters. There's literally a video of Biden admitting to blackmailing the Ukrainian government... yet you say " there is literally no evidence Biden did anything wrong ". You're so laser focused on taking Trump down that you don't care how we have to get there.

And that's exactly why Trump is winning re-election.

  3. Oh 100%.

I've read so many different stories and articles... and different versions of the same stories and articles. I really have no fucking clue what is true or not anymore when it comes to this whole thing. Like Pelosi's 60 minutes interview? Idk... it's all super shady. I don't like any of it. Vote them all out, please.

  4. Eagles did exactly what I said they should. PLay that short passing game... run the ball. They very effectively neutralized one of the leagues best pass rushes and it isn't because they were more talented. They just played and planned better. Pettine the Packers D need to be adjusting better in games but also for the forseeable future. Idk why any offense would play us any other way right now. And with Dallas and Kansas City coming up, those Ls could rack up fast.

Packers giving up on the run was stupid too. Eagles D was playing the run really well, and those stupid horizontal runs weren't working... But you have to keep the defense honest. You have to gash it up the middle a few times. The lack of faith in Aaron Jones, even after McCarthy, is disturbing. We may need to let him go just so the organization can have a RB that they don't just shit on every week.

Rodgers needs to do a better job of getting this WRs to come along. All he wants to do is force feed Davante (who is amazing, for sure). Jimmy Graham dropped like 4 passes last night... Why do we say every week that we need to get him more involved? There was also very obvious DPI on the final play of the game. Within the final minutes and with other PI reviewable already I say you look at that again too. The ball bounces right off MVS chest.. Why does it hit him in the chest? Oh.. because he was wrapped up and literally couldn't catch the ball.

As annoying as those plays as, it didn't cost us the game. We need to play better. Period. Adjustments is something McCarthy could never do in Green Bay... I sure hope Matt can.

  5. Even though it is worse than the WH version of events, is it enough to flip GOP senators? It might depend highly on polling numbers of the public... and Idk if they are gonna turn on Trump either. At least this does (kind of) give Democrats another out / solidifies that out. Even if the GOP Senate holds strong, if trump wins the election but loses the Senate he is gone either way. In that scenario though... we get 4 years of Pence and.... fucking gross.

  6. Anyone who wins the DNC nomination is going to have to have a very particular personality to be able to withstand Trump's barrage of insults and hail marys. I agree that Yang and Gabbard definitely could do that.

Trump will probably destroy Biden, Harris, Booker, Bernie (agree or not, the socialism thing is going to be a negative) and probably Warren. Warren will probably get slaughtered, but I think she will try being really aggressive with him in return and that might have some varying results depending on the situation. Beto with his "hell yes, I am taking your weapons" is probably gonna hurt (talking in the general, not right now)... I don't think he has a chance, but I wonder the GOP is probably gonna keep pushing this Biden/Ukraine narrative to deflect from Trump. And again, regardless if you agree or not... Some of the Biden stuff does look damning. This might be the end of him.

Buttigieg maybe has a chance? He handled himself really well on the debate stage when faced with the abusive cops in Indiana. I haven't really looked too hard into his numbers or demos of his supporters so I am kind of talking out my ass but as I sit here it wouldn't shock me if he could pull through. Trump attacking a gay veteran is gonna be some choppy fucking waters, but not even close to impossible. And he (Buttigieg) is pushing new ads here in Iowa trying to distance himself from the crazies like Bernie and Warren who want to strip employer based insurance in their medicare for all plans. I will say it again.. Agree or not personally, but that's the smart play when talking about health care.

  7. I think it’s definitely leaning that way more now than it has before. Crazy shit happens, so who knows if it stays that way.

I was reading a few articles before about Trumps approval ratings and things. They were looking at some of his more racially charged tweets and saw a correlation in a dip in support. They also said if he can stay out of those waters, it might be green pastures for him heading into 2020.

  8. Yeah reading the transcripts, I just feel like there is more holes than there isn't. Some verbiage is off and I don't like it (ie Trumping using the word "favor"). You don't want the POTUS directing the Ukranian government getting in touch with the AG directly either. Makes it seem directive. But I don't see a direct quid pro quo (do this or else), like was alleged by Democrats. The Ukrainian President came out today and said he wasn't pressured into doing anything. And that is exactly what Biden was doing... Biden, by his own words... threatened a billion dollars worth of aid if the Ukrainians didn't remove their head prosecutor. There are also documents showing head democrats writing to the Ukrainians to investigate Trump... lol.

As I said before, none of this lessens what Trump did. I'm fine with the investigation and I would like to hear from the whistle blower directly, but it seems at this point to be really overblown.

Also, Sean is right. Trump is going to blow Biden away. I don't want to dismiss the polls completely... But I think you would see a shift in those numbers if it were to get to 1v1 / trump on biden. Biden isn't mentally fit to run for President and Trump will bully him into submission. I don't think it matters much though as I think the heralded champion from the DNC will be Warren.

  9. Impeachment isn’t guaranteed. Pelosi just called for the inquiry. Obviously if that ends in a floor vote, it will happen as they have the tally among house dems.

Without the Senate and removal though.... I really think Democrats are helping Trump. Trump’s approval rating is at a 2.5 year high and I wouldn’t doubt it goes higher after impeachment. Stating the obvious here but let’s remember Trump doesn’t need the popular vote. Lol

EDIT:  Doing more reading on this situation. It was an old (few days) article, but CNN says the whistleblower had no direct knowledge of the call... And the inspector general (Trump appointee, so maybe not worth much) found that the whistle blower openly supported a Trump opponent  ( political bias ). Obviously, if the allegations are true, these things matter less... but it gives the GOP a lot of holes to work with.

The Whistleblower has requested to meet with Congress though, which is where we will learn a lot more.

  10. It’s nice to have real edge rushers and a bomb ass secondary.

Its also cool to see Clay Matthews have a resurgence in LA. Already has 4 sacks this year after sucking straight swamp ass for the last few seasons.

Edit: lol. Unconsciously called them the St. Louis rams

  11. Is there though? I know Allen played extremely well, but are people in the building or the media talking about the possibility of moving on from Cam?

Legit question, I don’t watch as much sports news on tv so I’m out of the loop with some of the local stuff being said.

But ya, I wouldn’t call it a controversy until those whisper start happening because it would signal a loss of confidence in Cam.

The acquisitions that Gutenkunst made  in the offseason are already paying huge dividends. The Smiths had 5 sacks combined yesterday. That is the same amount that Perry and Clay had combined last season. I had high hopes that the defense would be better, but did not expect it to be this better so soon. That said, they still have some problems. The run defense has not looked good the past 2 games with poor tackling and getting pushed off the line. Have relied on turnovers the past 2 games to make the defense look good, but who knows how sustainable that is.

As for the offense, it's still a mess. Look great at first then the wheels come off and it mostly just sputters the rest of the game. I would like to think they are still working things out but the truth is that they are probably lacking talent at the skill position. Davante is great obviously but teams can focus on him and the other guys aren't good enough to make them pay. MVS has made some nice plays but also disappears while Allison and Graham have been nearly useless so far. I would be calling some teams and see what WRs are available if I was Gute. Need a guy that can consistently get open in that short-intermediate area and hold onto the ball.

The Packers defense is unrelenting. But definitely some things to work on still. Broncos had a couple of drive where their backs just gashed us over and over. But even when those things happen, I don’t panic like I would used to. One of these games it will catch up to us but over the long haul, I don’t think it will be something that consistently loses us games.

I don’t think there’s a lack of talent on offense either. Jimmy Graham is bad but we have depth that we need to rotate in more often. Same with the receivers... we have Lazard and Shepard on the roster. If the guys we are trotting out there aren’t getting it done we need to get those other guys at least a chance to make a difference. Shepherd especially has that Randall Cobb-like quality which we need right now. I wouldn’t be making any trades though, not at this point.

This Eagles season has fallen slightly short of my expectations, to this point.

Could get back on track Thursday against the Packers. Only thing that’s really blistered the defense has been slow methodical check downs and screens . Dink and dunk.... all the time. Eagles offense might benefit from slowing down some and just execute at a high level.
