  1. Odd considering Rex is a 3-4 guy. Hey who knos though this might be a good thing for them with more guys committed to stopping the run.

Then Revis does what he does and then you have a lot of flexibility on the blit with less regards to the draw and more guys to occupy other people so it could work to depending on how the second DT plays out.

  2. The only problem is Deangelo Hall is not Chuck Woodson. he is a solid and serviceable CB but do not think that they are going to have the same impact in that role.

One thing he has going though is that pass rush is going to get after some QB's so he may be able to shake some things up.

  3. Meh...Technically yeah it is stealing and it is something that is really overlooked in the grand scheme of things.

It is like jaywalking in the fact that no one really cares and just accept the fact that it is going to happen because the time and money it would take to stop things like that is just not worth the overall reward.

Am I against it ? On principle sure because I think people should be paid for their work. In practice not really because $60 for a game is asking for it. If people made games more affordable than I doubt they would lose much profit because of the volume would make up the difference and they would not have to worry about pirated material.

  4. I havent seen Justin Blackmon take a single snap so I am not sure one way or the other. If it based on hype coming out of college than definitely but in that case Jamarcus Russel and Ryan leaf are amazing and tom brady is a weak armed QB who gets rattled under pressure.

I can see the comparison in body composition and speed but Greg little has suspect hands at times.

Next year revisiting this we could definitely make a better argument.

  5. Seriously ??? How is this something that should have been brought up.

Lets tallk about QB's, when your QB phones in a NFCCG you really should not sling stones on other QB's.

When all of your WR's cannot combine to equal Megatron.

Your O line is pathetic and your not paying your best offensive players.

I would think if I am the bears I would worry about a team that averages 30 + points a game.

And how did they not improve their defense. They got 3 OLB's who can all get to the passer.

A CB who had he played at a D1 school would have gone first round in Chris Greenwood from Albion who is 6'2" runs a sub 4.4 and did not allow a touchdown in over 30 games and was able to take over 60 percent of his picks to the house.

Swight Bentley who is also a tout4ed prospect a CB.

Ryan Broyles who can replace the guy you are making fun of (Titus Young). And an OT who can step in day one and is better than any lineman the bears have.

What makes you think that in two years you will be worried about 2nd when Minny pulls ahead after the draft they just had that you arent fighting to stay out of the basement ?

  6. For as terrible as a DC as Juan Castillo is he still managed to have a top 10 defense. You have to remember that this guy was making the transition from o line coach to DC without an off season. I think it's a little early to condemn him.

Yes you are right but as for now he is terrible. Could he turn it around ? Sure. The reason I say that when your slot corner is asante Samuel you are probably staring at one of the best secondaries in the game. Also who the fuck has Aso playing a zone position when he is the best bump and run cover corner in the league ? Seriously ? :nonono: Your defense is weak in one spot and you cant figure out how to correct it when it is the only one....not a good look.

That being said as far as the lockout. It did not seem to effect Jim Harbaugh (the superior one) much. and there were many other changes that happened that went smoother. To be fair to the eagles though they caught more publicity than other failures.

  7. Way to represent your franchise man.

that said I am not sure I would like people doing that shit to me so I cant completely annihilate him for it. It is kind of a monster he created though because of his less than courteous responses.

  8. Jim Brown has not been shy of late when it comes to criticizing members of the organization he helped define.

He has taken on Cleveland Browns President Mike Holmgren. He was not impressed with the Browns' selection of Trent Richardson. In an interview with NFL Network's "NFL Total Access" on Friday, Brown criticized owner Randy Lerner's management style.

"I think that the owner, and I have to be very candid with you, is trying to turn all the power over to someone else. I don't think that's possible," Brown said. "I think that the owner is ultimately going to be the leader and I think until Randy takes that position, it's going to be difficult.

"Holmgren is a fine executive, but he is not the owner, and I think the players know that. So I think the players feel that they don't have that top dog sitting there in that office so they can feel that they have great leadership from the top. There's always a question mark when your owner is in England."

Holmgren does take on responsibilities that are unique for a man in his position. He often represents the Browns at the league's owners' meetings instead of Lerner.

Right or wrong, Holmgren truly is the one under the most pressure to turn around the organization. That's not necessarily a bad thing, and the team has drafted very well the past two years despite its poor win-loss record.

We reached out to the Browns for comment, but they declined. They are surely tired of hearing Brown take on the organization. (The team and Brown had a falling out after perceived slights in 2010.)

Browns fans also have likely grown tired of Brown's attacks on his longtime employer.

Then again, speaking his mind always defined Brown. That attitude made him alternately beloved, feared, and respected during his playing days. Not much has changed.

  9. It kills me to say it but Desean Jackson. The guy has everything he had when he was tearing it up and he has his contract so he can stop complaining and throwing tantrums and play football. When he does that he is a good WR and he should surely top last year.

  10. I say San Diego gets it cracking IF Ryan Matthews stays healthy and cuts the fumblitis out of his repetoire.

Team to get worse. The Bengals. I am probably wrong but watching them year in and year out they always seem to have a good year followed by a bad one so I am going to have to see proof that they have changed before they shake that stigma.

Teams who I am not sure one way or the other. The Steelers. They got rid of a lot of their vets and that could either mean they lose a lot of leadership and the lack of continuity hurts. Or they could have a younger faster defense and their O line gels extremely quick with two guys I think are certain to have great years (Decastro and Pouncey) The rest are up in the air for me.

Also the Ravens. The team has made concerted efforts to get way younger and on that front they have succeeded. Ray and Ed are in the final years and we are going to get glimpses of the young talent behind them. They could either come out of this with a young team who is going to be good for another decade. Or they could fall on their face if these last couple drafts fail to glean any top tier talent at skill positions.

  11. I think you could throw Joe Flacco in there as well. Contract year. Labeled as mediocre wanting elite money. This is going to be the year where if he wants to be elite he is going to have to knuckle up and show people that he is elite. He has the physical tools and all of that but has consistently struggled with consistency. He will have to overcome Cam Cameron but if Flacco can cut down on the dumb ass plays and play like he did in the AFCCG he can make a case for himself and give his agent some leverage.

That and I think Tyrod Taylor might be able to bring some interesting things to the table at the QB position not that I think we just out and out cut Flacco but if it came to it there are several Raven fans who are clamoring for it.

  12. Well being honest it is not like Reid is some slouch at HC. The guy has one an won consistently he just never seems to be able to get there which brings a feeling of discontentment over a franchise.

That said no one is safe from the "hotseat" because Tom Coughlin has been on it for about five years now and that is after he won a SB so I guess if he is a candidate then so should every coach in the league if it was left up to players and fanbases.

Also who is out there that could potentially be a HC. I mean Reid system is engrained in almost every player on that Roster and will be again this year so if you want to start rebuilding go ahead and fire Andy Reid. It is simialar to why the defense sucked under Castillo ( Who is a terrible DC) when he implemented the system he wanted.

  13.

Fitz has been accused of domestic violence and attempting to bribe his babymama to have an abortion. Anyone that comes in here and tells me that Larry is "probably innocent" needs to shut the fuck up next time Ben being accused of rape comes up. In Larry's case, there was enough evidence for the restraining order that the woman requested to be granted.

Its funny you say this because I have always maintained the fact that Big Ben was innocent on those counts.

You can not sit here and tell me that a guy who is a professional athlete who is definitely not the ugliest cat in the world, who also happens to be a multi millionaire goes to a party and has to rape a girl ????? Riiiiiight....... I am sure that all of those women put up such a fight that it could happen in a crowded area and yet nobody would hear except for acquaintances of those women previously. ?he was an easy target and the only thing he could be accused of is being dumb in my honest opinion. No matter what he said after it was probably mostly bullshit for damage control.

But on the field I cant recall Fitz talkin cheap shots and shit like that and as far as domestic abuse goes I really have to say that is up in the air too.

The way I saw that whole thing is akin to how these women who have no jobs and live off their husbands can convince a judge that they are entitled to half of what these players make. Most players will just go the route that is damage control rather than prevention.

  14. Sidney Rice had one good year. Otherwise, he's been an entirely ineffective member of the injury report.

Lets not absolve Harvin of the same thing with the migraines and his less than stellar injury history.

Whe on the field and firing on all cylinders I am taking Rice.

  15. Actually, the burden of proof is on Vilma.

The court of public opinion may be won by Vilma regardless of the outcome of the trial, but it is up to Vilma to prove that Goodell intentionally and maliciously did this to them, with the intent to defame him. Vilma is, after all, the accuser, not the defendant, in this case.

That is the tricky part about this case in my opinion I mean I know Vilma is the accuser but he is actually the one being attacked.

The reason I said that is because a federal court can subpoena that evidence and try to prove that Goodell was justified in doing what he did.

If it turns out that all the evidence is what Goodell says it is then Vilma would not take him to court and considering it was a league investigation he has not dot to see the evidence against him.

In court he will actually get to see it thanks to disclosure because if Goodell omits it then he could face sever consequences considering Goodell than has lost all proof and Vilma wins the case because Goodell did that with no evidence. If he does reveal it and it comes to light that it was just some BS heresay than Vilma still wins.

It is up to Goodell in my opinion because he is the one holding all the evidence and has to prove he was actually speaking off of some basis in fact not just opinion.

Techinically you are correct but at this point with this case it is up to Goodell to clear his name, not Vilma because his name has already been drug through the dirt so he has nothing to lose.

  16. In the league today there are too many negative story lines from people who call themselves journalists it is ridiculous. That being said it is a straight forward question, who is the classiest player ?

I have a tie between Fitz and Arian Foster.

Foster has outperformed every expectation since coming into the league and come contract time does not try to take the Texans to the cleaners and air his dirty laundry in public. This speaks volumes.

Fitz is just pure class, there is nothing else you can say about the guy.

  17. beg to differ there. BTW the 2000 ravens only had 3 Probowlers that year and 1 all pro. were gonna keep it based on 2000 because thats the year im refering to.

DE: its about even(maybe even advantage Jags when u go to Bench) Mincey is about to be a 10 sack guy. we also have Branch whos pretty good not to mention Chick and Kampman.

DT: Knighten and Alualu are again about equal to Sam Adams and Tony though id say they might be a bit better Run Wise but Pass rushing wise its the jags dou. i havent even touched the backups yet but we have 3 possible Good Backup Dts in Mosley, Pendelton(rookie) and Smith(2 years on IR because of foot and Achilles injury).

LB: Lewis, Boulware and Sharper are probably just slightly better than the jags trio of Session, Pozlusney, and Smith. add in Allen whos a very capable Backup capable of starting.

CB: Mathis, Cox, ross is a better trio than wat the ravens had. Cox and Mathis can play man to man very well(look at last year vs the ravens).

FS: ill give ya advantage here becuase it is rod woodson vs lowery but lowery aint a slouch. hes a solid guy who can do wat we ask.

SS: Landry is better than Herring and its not even close.

as far the gabbert thing sure but half of them(reasonable expectation) should have been caught. multiple passes hit the players in the hands and that for sure is not Blaines fault for them not catching the ball.

That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever heard fall out of somebodys mouth in regards to anything much less football. I cant believe somebody would even say that is they are trolling.

beg to differ if you will you just ensure nobody else takes you seriously.

You think your run defense could compare to the 2000 Ravens defense ???? Are you out of your mind ?

    Ravens

Average Rush yards per game: 60.6

    Jaguars

Average Rush Yards per game: 104.2

Season totals the Ravenz gave up less all season that you gave up in ten games, so please re think the statement your guys can stop the run so well again.

Your whole list is possibles and maybe's and about to be's that is all fine and good and all the 2000 Ravens WERE....big difference.

Ray Lewis has amassed more tackles in 10 years than all three of those guys combined. so again just slightly better.

Kim Herring played extremely well that year and better than Dawan landry has any single year. Overall though I think Landry is better just not that year and I watched Dawan Landry play more games than you unless you are a closet Ravens fan and if that is the case you know nothing about them.

And ok keep it to 2000 but how many people from the jags team were all pros ? What about pro bowlers ???? Yeah....

Do you even think before you type ?

  18. may i bring up he had 40 passes dropped which really hurt his passer rating. by just adjusting the Completions he has about a 70+ passer rating. im sure with 40 more completions come more Yards and TDs. the Ravens won the superbowl with a 76 passer rating. with the adjustment in yards and TDs he will be up there with trent dilfer like. Blackmon and Robinson are better WRs than wat we started last year, and our number 1 wr last year is now back at the slot position where he seems better suited.

And I could do the same thing for Joe Flacco and bring his up to around 95....but the point is that is not how it works, just as many errant balls as gabbert threw no receiver has caught every ball. They will make mistakes like gabbert just less often.

  19. may i bring up he had 40 passes dropped which really hurt his passer rating. by just adjusting the Completions he has about a 70+ passer rating. im sure with 40 more completions come more Yards and TDs. the Ravens won the superbowl with a 76 passer rating. with the adjustment in yards and TDs he will be up there with trent dilfer like. You are missing on the fact that the 2012 Jags defense is not even in the same ballpark as the 2000 Ravens where. you are about 1 current hall of famer short. 5 all pros short and 6 probowlers. It is not close. if you go position by position the jags dont win a single one of them except maybe strong safety, that said Herring played out of his mind that year.
