  1. Unless you have another reason I don't see how wanting to be paid the most for being the best at your position makes you a douche.

Who the hell whines bitches and moans about a contract and holds out on national TV to try and gain leverage, gets a deal done that is pretty damn crazy anyway. Then turns around and does it again. Take that bitch ass crap somewhere else.

I am the best ever....but I pull up lame when Randy Moss beats me lol.

Just another part of the sideshow that has become the jets. At least under Mangini they were not a laughing stock.

Foot Fetish coach that loves feet.

A coach that guarantees a SB every year he is coach.

A diva WR who has to annoint himself the end all be all

A shitty QB who complains every five minutes about the jets and a QB rumor.

Paying said shitty QB long term.

    A divided locker room.

Cromartie and his cabbage patch garden.

    Now Bevis pulling this shit.

An old Fogie who is supremely overrated who gets sauced and hits on reporters on live tv, commenting on everything.

    And Jesus trying to mediate.

I appreciate the Jets being a storied Franchise and all, but damn. It is time to shut your mouth and play football. It cant get any worse than this run your mouth and pray thing they got going.

  2. I will say that is original. I would say the biggest surprise to me was Chase Minnifield. I also dont see the Cowboys passing on Barron. But that said stranger shit has happened.

  3. The voter turn out must have been bad.

    Freeman over Brees

    Gonzalez over Graham

    Dahl Over Evans

Not sure how I feel about Jabari Greer not being in there. Steve Smith over mike Williams.

But hey, just one mans opinion.

  4. Ha funny story. 3 years ago my girlfriend at the time (now my fiance) was ok with me watching the draft. However she did not realize how long this was going to take. I may have mislead her just a bit by saying it wont take that long. Well that year she had everything set up and had made some home made lasagna and pizza, brougth me beers you know about the perfect draft day scenario. About 25 picks in on the first day and late third she was getting irritated and could not understand my excitement. This was the beginning of a tradition.

Every year I get to watch the first round the next day I try but she tries to distract me in a most agreeable way. I usually fall for it and have to come down and rewind the DVR after I turn my cell phone off. SAme with day two. All in all this very well could be my favorite time of year.

  5. The Baltimore Ravens Select:

    Vick ballard

    RB

    Mississippi State.

Cant honestly tell you why he is available this low other than the swan dive at the Combine. He had a redeeming pro day though running a 4.5 40 and runs with power. He finishes his runs and he finishes them with authority. He will make a great back to go with Ray Rice. He is a solid built kid with decent top end speed and is a lot more athletic than given credit for. The Ravens get a real good get here.

  6. You're in our division so I'd expect you to know the offense that Shurmur is running. We're running a their version of the WCO - there is NO WAY Richardson is getting 30 carries a game. When Hillis was healthy at the beginning of the year, he was getting 6-10 touches a game compared with his 20+ touches under Mangini. Shurmur just doesnt run his offense that way.

Yes I see what is going it on over there. The problem is Hillis did not come on until the end of the year. who was left to rush after that ? Ogo. yeah you may run a WCO, so did Bill Walsh he had a guy named Roger Craig, I guess west coast offenses dont use running backs then ?

And his history would not be indicative of scaling the run down to twenty carries considering that he was the Rams offensive coordinator under Spagnuolo, They had Steven Jackson that ran quite a bit there too. And he is the type of back that Richardson is.

He will get at least 20 carries a game not 6-10.

  7. To be honest out of all contract negotiations I have seen so far he makes the best case. I mean honestly in the last 5 years he has been the ENTIRE offense. He should be treated with a little more respect by the franchise, this is why so many people want lucrative contracts when they have not produced on his level.

  8. And how is that, exactly? The Ravens have less cap space than the Steelers and the Steelers could cut players like Hampton and Foote, and Jonathan Scott in order to clear up about $11 million more in cap space. The Steelers are not in a bind at all cap-wise and they have all the leverage in the Wallace situation.

And how much young talent do you have locked up ? That is what I am saying, yeah they could cut some guys and get under the cap of that I am sure. That said though we have webb locked up, two rookie starters locked up, Ngata locked up, our best guard locked up, Sizzle isnt going anywhere for a couple of years, Our tight ends contracts arent up. the majority of our guys are held through the next two years. And I dont see Ray playing past this year so that contract alone clears up 7 million. Ed comes off the books next year clearing another 7. Then Birk Retiring next year clears up another three and the year after that would clear up 4. Boldin will come off the books soon so there is another 7, Torrey will play for 4 more years under 1 mil. Gurode will leave taking another 3 off. So this will probably be the last year where we are up against the cap. Everybody else we will have through 2014.

On the reverse lets say you cut hampton, are you comfortable with Hood playing there ? He has been decent but will come nowhere close to the presence Hampton commands. Then how about Heyward ? Sanders and Brown's contract is up after this year. Same with Mendenhall. And Sylvester. Waht about when Kiesel's contract is up after that year? Clark, Foote and hood are the year after next. Same with worlids. The amount of people you will have to resign in the next two years versus the Raven's isnt close since we have most of our guys locked up for several years. The Steelers are going to have to resign all of those cats or find other guys to take their place. Some will be easy, some not so much.

There are going to be some painful cap decisions that will be made in the next two years. That is what I was saying.

  9. in the context of the question presented, I can't say Richardson. Not because i dont think the man is going to come in and be a star, but because the way he plays in regards to the question I dont see him as a decade plus guy. Especially if he goes to the browns because he will get 30 + a game most likely. Now for 7 years I think the man is going to be a absolute monster on the field.

I would see Kalil as a safe pick. Tyron Smith played well last year and was suppposedly the best tackle in the draft when he was drafted. Kalil kept him on the right side of the line instead of the left. I think Kalil with the experience his elder brother can share and his natural physical tools he could be a dominant guy for over a decade.

Another guy I have thought about is David Decastro, he may also be a dominant guy for over a decade.

  10. Well yeah you're always gonna be happy when good things happen to your team.

What Wilfork is saying is he'd prefer the rules a different way.

I'm sure he'd love to be able to lay a beating on an opposing QB without the fear of getting penalized/fined instead of getting to cheer when Brady successfully draws an illegal hit penalty.

Now that much is probably true, he would enjoy that. And I as most football fans would prefer the same thing but thanks to Emporer Goodell and the Brady's, Manning's and so on it just wont happen again.

I would love to see what Brady thought when he read this though.

  11. So if a guy plays defense on the same team as Brady he's not allowed to voice his opinion? It'd be a lot different if it was actually Brady saying it.

It isnt his fault but it is his problem. I bet you he hasnt shed a tear when he gets to take an extra break because brady lobbied for a call and got it. Now on the other hand I bet he gets mad as hell when it happens to them.

  12. I'd love to see Silva vs Jones. Silva is comfortable and capable at fighting at 205. I'd love to see that fight a lot more than a Silva vs GSP which has been talked about.

To be honest I think Silva loses both.

If Chael Sonnen took him down like that, GSP would have no problem and e would not try to win the fight he would be content with rounds. I think he would pull the decision and it would irritate the shit out of me though.

With jones the thing that makes the Spider the spider is he is so long and the best striker the game has to offer. Well jones has more reach and is an out of this world striker too, that one would be an EPIC fight. Although I think Anderson would be fighting in unknown territory because he cant play the range game anymore. It would be awesome and well worth the 50 bucks for the fight.

  13. GSP is a great fighter but I hate him. He is a boring fighter and fights every fight safe. Not that there is nothing wrong with that but guys like Silva, Jones and Aldo have been succesful in their divisions and have put on great fights.

Machida is a technical striker who excels at counter striking. Rashad has a better striking game as far as his boxing. I guess thats what I was refering too. Rampage is probably the best power striker. I forgot about Shogun. He is a great striker and I would probably put him close to Evans except Suga has better speed.

Either way, hes beaten every single top guy in the division except Hendo. Once he defeats Hendo, he will have cleared the division and it will be time for a super fight.

Agreed on all counts about GSP. I hate his style to but in his style nobody in that division will unseat him for a while.

The reason I will say shogun wins is because he has a lot more diverse striking. Suga's boxing is good although is jab is weak but the right hook saves him a lot. He has no real kicks to speak of where as a whole Shoguns striking beats him out because of diversity and his double jab.

I dont see hendo winning against Bones. That said though not even Rashad's right compares to Hendo's. That right hand has real dynamite in it. I wont forget the knockout he put on Bisping with that damn thing. It is vicious. Now as far as wrestling it would be intriguing because he is damn good at that and I dont think his gameplan would resemble Rashad's. That said you are right it would be the last real fight for except maybe Forrest.

in my opinon though everybody else from here on is a sacrificial lamb.

Who would you like to see the superfight be with ?

  14. Honestly I rooted for Evans the whole time while he was in Baltimore and will continue to do so. I have a theory on this though.

When the bills had him the passing game was less than stellar. With the emergence of Stevie Johnson and the fact that while on the Bills he never got the time he needed to recover form injury it looked bleak. So that made him seem like he was done and truly lost more than what he really had.

When he came to the Ravens he was able to rode the pine all off season and then the entire season as well minus 3 or 4 games. So that said his lingering injury should be better than ever. I was upset that we did not keep him because a over a year of recovery should have that man raring to go and I think he becomes the best receiver on the jags and the Ravens regret this. Not in the sense he makes a game breaking play against us but we see his production with Gabbert and we are left wondering what he could have done with us.

  15. I've been a fan of Bones myself since I first saw him on the undercards. I know it seems like a lot of people will say "I've known about this guy since..." but w/e.

Anyways, at this point based on the way hes fought and picked apart the top guys in the division and done it in convincing fashion, he is the best pound for pound fighter in MMA. I'd put Jose Aldo a close second, then Silva third.

What I like best about him is how complete his game is. He's fought a techincal striker in Machida and made him tap. He's destroyed wrestlers and picked apart probably the best striker in the division in Evans. Hes also gone the distance. The kid is so young and will only get better (if thats possible). I still have yet to see a real whole in his game. He has never spent a lot of time on the ground so I guess we don't know how good he would be off his back against a BJJ ace.

At this point the only move for him to make is another division. Silva was at the same level of dominance and then moved up to 205.

I disagree that Rashad is the best striker in the division. Wrestler sure. I think Lyoto is a better striker, Same with Shogun, and Same with Hendo. Rashad has a powerful right but other than that has no other punches and the wrestler in him does not let him throw leg kicks.

As far as holes in bones I havent seen them either, although it appears to me he does not like to be hit. This may be speculation but in his last two fights he has gotten hit and he didnt have the I will walk through it attitude. I dont know if that is him playing it cagy or just doesnt want to be hit.

Off his back I dont think he would have many problems because with those lanky ass legs he would have a hell of a rubber guard.

He is a big light heavy but would be a tiny heavy so I am not sure if he would move up, or just continue to dominate this division.

Although I think the second best pound for pound fighter in the UFC is GSP. I hate how the dude never finishes a fight and is content to just grind out a wrestling match, but he is far and away the best in the division and has beaten the best of the best.

  16. Huge fan of Bones have been for a long time, it was about his second fight that him and Anthony Johnson caught my attention.

So with Jones straight beating the hell out of Rashad, whats next? Honestly I think he is the best pound for pound guy in the world.

    Thoughts?
