  1. So let me preface this with a few things.

1.) I honestly and truly mean no offense.

2.) I have never been more than 15% body fat and and am currently around 12, so I don't understand a great deal.

3.) This is something that has become a hot button topic around our house and I feel as though I'm the one who is the dick (go figure, right?) That said I don't mean to be, and I want to know more.

My family has a few big people which I never really paid attention to. I've just always known them for them and their weight has never really registered. I mean I knew, and I noticed it, but outside of that I never thought about it. Most of use are between 8 and 20% body fat, and always have been.

Growing up I was always taught, "Food is fuel not fun." To me steak and asparagus or cauliflower is the shit. Easily my favorite and it is not terrible for you. My household eats pretty clean, and so does most of my family....exceeeept my brother. This is a recent thing, he has gotten obese and is becoming more and more depressed about it.

I have talked to him recently and it has struck me how bad it has gotten. Normally, my talks are more facts centered such as if your over 15% you're broaching that area of unhealthy and all the related diseases are going to take their toll left unchecked. Or everyday activities become harder on your body, why would you do that. Or the age ol' "It's as simple as a caloric deficit to lose it, and a balanced diet and exercise to maintain."

Then my son made friends with a kid whose a chunk, but is a cool kid. He spends a lot of time at our house. Well his parents came by as they have a couple times, and they are Biiiiiiiiig people. We are talking like 3 hundy big. Great, honest, hard working, salt of the earth people. We had a barbecue and some drinks. Now I'm not an Uber heavy drinker so I was having a few beers, and it was getting late. So we sent the boys to the home theatre and they watched some shit.

Me and my wife and this couple are out there talking and Jan makes a comment about my wife being able to shop anywhere for lingerie and clothes, and so on. Then it devolves into this reverse fat shaming shit where they're talking about how easy my wife and I got it. And it's all in jest, nothing personal, but then shit got weird.

He divulged he is a food addict, which I didn't really know what it was. I thought we all were food addicts since we needed it. That said, he knows his shit. He knows what to eat, when, how, recipes, I mean this dude knows his stuff. And we started talking about diet and it baffled him how easy it comes for me. I told him it was just a lifetime thing. I don't miss what I've never had.

From the sounds he can't not eat shit food. He has alarms on his phone reminding him and things like that. Even with reminders he can't do it. I asked him why and shit got super weird. I mean this guy talks about food like people talk about sex. Talking about how the flavors meld and how food looks on the bread, or the steam off of it and just weird shit.

He has like a legitimate relationship with food. He knows how to eat but doesn't have the discipline for it. Has anyone had this problem? Did you beat it? If so, how? If not, does it matter to you?

you numbnuts, I was quoting what YOU  said, in bold.

I just explained how there is no o-fer. Say your SB match up now  and the score. I will beat you on both.

You have no knowledge. I am 20 years your senior and intellectually superior and wisdom filled in so many more ways. I picked the SB winner in august and will give exact score. Who gives a fuck about wildcard losers? Your Ravens will lose SB just like Thanos  Panthers  did.

Well obviously you don't care because you got them wrong lol.

You're Superbowl matchup is already fucked because of the Patriots. So no matter what you can't get it right.  I know, it sucks, but there is always therapy.

How do you know you're 20 years my senior? From words written on a message board? Poppycock. It's all fake. You know nothing.

Seriously, I can help you. Not on the therapy, or the having a micropenis in the transgender, gay unicorn dating pool, but with seeing the obvious signs that this is all fake, I can help you bro. Take my help you poor dolt, come get that education and wake up.

I've called every game perfectly to this point.

Ahhh no you haven't, we just went over this.

You got every wildcard pick wrong, and you yourself admit you fucked up NE.

I know it's fake. I'm just saying you suck at reading the signs. Like for the playoffs, you've got a big O'fer right now. You suck. I can help though, I've read the signs already, I just don't know if youre humble enough to accept the knowledge.

You LITERALLY got EVERY SINGLE wildcard game WRONG.

You suck, even with them showing you the outcome right in front of you, it's clear as day and you still fuck it up.

Get humble and I can help. I've called every game perfectly to this point.

You sure? I haven't seen a grass roots campaign with this much money and man power behind it in my lifetime. I think this conflict with Iran will go a long way towards determining that. Sanders could be an anti-war candidate running against a guy who got elected in part by saying he wanted out of the middle east but is instead dragging us into another war without congressional approval? Idk man, i know you can't stand Sanders but that doesn't mean he loses to Trump. If the media can sell people on going to war with Iran, maybe he loses but people care about having health care, not about getting into another endless war.

I fully expect him to be assassinated though if they can't just outright rig the primary against him.

I think people are getting tired of the far left imo. And Bernie is a pussy who got shouted down by two ignorant, ratchet black girls because he wouldn't stand up for himself. This DESPITE THE FACT he was saying what they were. You think he beats the biggest bully at president in a long time in the debates, nah. This is assuming the DNC doesn't screw him again.

This is anecdotal admittedly, but A LOT of people in Seattle are turning away from Democrats and thinking independent or new candidate like Yang. I also have a few liberal friends are the same way. The same stale message is souring. And the contradictions. You can't have healthcare and open borders, you can't. People are seeing this.

This Iran thing is a non issue to me.

Maybe man but that offensive line is also pretty damn good and keeping him on his feet and making holes for the run game. If the Saints can keep it close and give Brees a shot at the end, I'm not sure how you don't fear the Saints. They're a very complete team with a ballsy coach and a hall of fame QB who might be the most accurate thrower of the football who ever lived. If there's one thing that can beat great coverage, that'd be it.

Edit: also in regards to the Eagles or any other NFC team who makes the super bowl, we saw the Giants beat the undefeated Pats. We saw the Steelers win the Super Bowl with Cowher at what? 9-7? Hell, the Ravens won it at 9-7. Any team hot enough to make it to the Super Bowl can win it.

That offensive line has been getting beat the hell up lately.

There eagles secondary won't let them get close imo.

  7. 4 hours ago, seanbrock said:

Don't forget who's throwing them the ball. In 15 post season games, Brees has thrown for over 4700 yards, 33 TD's and just 11 picks all at a 65% rate.

Breesus is amazing. To me he is the best QB in football. That said it's not him, it's his line that will cripple him. He has proven short guys can be dominant. That said with his offensive line in his face it is a huge problem. That will be their undoing.

i'm going to make a fool of you, every step of the way. I already have to begin with

I don't know man, I haven't missed yet, you on the other hand.... It's scripted you just have to know what to look for. You have been wrong too often to be on my level.

Lol oh darn, one playoff team wrong. My SB macro pick still intact.

I was right about Rams  not being good this year. Do you point thst out? Nope.

Watch as the SB is Niners  vs Pats. Then you'll make new excuses.

It's not the first one you got wrong, you're just not as good as reading the signs as me, I can help you.

The instant their running attack isn't phenomenal, he'll be forced to make more difficult throws than he has had to thus far. It's not going to be pretty relative to how smooth this offense operates right now. I don't mean to root against him--I just find his passing ability to be drastically overstated.

    Then you're not watching enough.

  11. That is a narrative that won't work anymore. He is more than proficient as a passer. He is still growing at 22 and already breaking records.  I used to think that and I never thought Jackson would be good, much less as good as he is. He is younger than Joe Burrow... Let that marinade.

  12. Just now, Thanatos said:

Thomas is un-coverable with Brees throwing to him. He'd have 100+ yards and a TD easily. I don't really see Baltimore's defense slowing the Saints down much. To be clear here, I would be rooting for Baltimore hardcore in this scenario. A) I hate the Saints for obvious reasons B) Lamar is from Louisville. I just don't think it'll be the pushover you seem to think it will be. You're also relying on the playoffs not being too big for Lamar.

I would also take 5 backs over Kamara, I'm just saying he's looked a lot better recently.

Or the defense stops you in the redzone like they did two other times. Niners are a very good team that has only gotten better since that game.

No team that loses to Atlanta is that much better. Niners are good, for sure. They have not gotten better. They have started 10-0. Their last 6 they are 3-3 and BARELY squeaked out of the Rams game with a win. They are not getting better.

NOBODY is uncoverable, especially with our secondary. Humphrey has shut Thomas down before.

Since week 5 we have the best defense in the league. We can slow the offense down immensely, especially given the state of our line.

As to Kamara. Since week 6 he has 4 games over 60 yards. In his last 6 games he's topped 60 yards rushing 3 times. He is not turning a corner. He is not scary AT ALL.

    We would scorch that defense.

Neither your argument about the 9ers or Kamara make any sense. The numbers don't bare out your argument. The hottest team is KC, the most consistent is Baltimore.

No NFC team is that scary.

  13. 17 minutes ago, Thanatos said:

Kamara has turned a corner the past few weeks. Discount him at your peril. Saints can absolutely take the Ravens. So can the 49ers- they came within a FG of winning at your house and I'd argue their offense has only gotten better since that game.

I would be somewhat shocked if someone other than Baltimore, KC, New Orleans, or San Fran won the title.

Green Bay has got to be the weakest 2 seed in a long time. NE is always a threat, but they just don't have the firepower to take on KC or Baltimore to me. Hell, Tennessee is a threat to them this weekend.

Sure any given Sunday but if every team plays their best games the chiefs are the only team that is concerning. We beat both the saints and 9ers by two possessions if both teams play their best. The 9ers game was never as close as it looked. Save for 1 of 2 Lamar Jackson fumbles on the season coming in their redzone we go up two scores and it never gets close.

Our secondary could smother Thomas, and Kamara is still not the same guy he was with Ingram. I would take 5 backs over him at this point.

  14. The saints only big threats are Thomas and Brees. Kamara has to be hurt because outside a few splash plays a game he is not as great. The Ravens possess the best secondary in the NFL and it might be the widest skill position gap in the league. Nobody is even close.

The only exception is Tyreek Hill. He has extraordinary speed. Thomas isn't that.

If the Ravens make it through the chiefs I would put them around 70% to win the ship. Is not I think the saints beat the chiefs in the ship.

  15. The only team that are likely beat the Ravens is KC imo. There is nobody in the NFC that is that scary imo.

Any team can, sure. Except the Eagles. We could play a bad game and win that one. If all teams play their best, we are the champs. If we don't come out swinging for KC, they could very well beat us. The saints play to what we do well. We are a bad matchup for them, and the 9ers are looking more beatable every week.

lol the Ravens are just a front runner that will die in the playoffs. You guys cant be real fans and not see this is history repeating itself.

Was this before or after the Redskins make the playoffs?

No, we mostly agree but with one difference. Fox isn't reacting to MSNBC or vice versa. They're just a part of a show. My team vs your team. It's not a balancing act. They want a partisan divide. It's by design. They all run the same ads which means they're ultimately beholden to the same people.

Well sure it's a show but you still need a protagonist and antagonist. They're has to be a struggle. I'm sure it is manufactured, it doesn't mean they aren't going to for tat in the outrage war.

  18. Sean, buddy, youre not breaking any news here. I have LOOOOOOONG said that the media is the enemy of the people, and one of the pillar's on which I build that argument is the one you have used. You will not get an argument out of me that the news cycle is probably the most damaging thing going on in our country.  If Trump is brilliant for any one thing, it is calling that out. People have long known it, and now that we are seeing it and saying something, all of the years of frustrations are boiling to the surface making things as bad as they are. You have the uber right guy thinking Mexicans are just awful, and you have that pussy Van Jones saying, "Feel their pain." What a pussy.  I get it.

AS to Fox, yeah...They are garbage. Wont even attempt to say they arent. That being said they are responding to MSNBC's brand of fuckery. Or MSNBC is replaying to theirs. Its the chicken or the egg. I dont care who started it and Im sure either side can make the case their right. I dont care.

As to my media exposure, I dont really get a choice lol. Ill walk into the employees breakroom and that shit is always on. Then I get razzed for being,"The Man" and conservative by the employees, its all in jest though. Although I like to point out I would be the only conservative on the planet running a union shop.  When I get home it is always documentary's or whatever my wife and kids have on, which lately is every manner of Christmas movie.

And if nobody should watch it, how do you know what they are saying? I feel like you think that the rest of the group doesnt see what you see. Than is probably the most SANE liberal on the board, and he would not disagree with much of what is being said. I think we all know wal-mart and Amazon are bad things.  Settle down Sean, we are awake. Even though their is a vast difference between being awake and being WOKE. Rest easy Sean, we are not dumb.
