    So, I'm just wondering why everyone is already this high on Rudolph?

     

    Everyone knows that I'm not at all a fan of Brandon Pettigrew, but his numbers across the board are similar to Rudolph outside of TDs. And Pettigrew is a better blocker.

     

    How exactly is he better then Finley at this point? Let alone Pettigrew.

     

    Rudolph is on the verge of becoming an elite TE. The consistency of the QB play in Minnesota has kind of held him back so far. Look at what he did in the probowl with a better QB behind center (5 catches, 122 yards, 1 TD, won MVP). Even with inconsistent QB play he has caught 20 of 23 passes in the redzone. Which comes out to a 87 percent red zone catch rate. The next highest catch rate is Rob Gronkowski who caught 65 percent. Rudy has also become a very solid blocker since coming out of college. I may be looking through some purple tinted glasses but I would choose him over Finley and Pettigrew in a heart beat.

    Once he demolished the Chargers and ran for like 270 yards in that game, I was a believer.

     

    One of the greatest games I have ever seen in person! He actually went for 296 rushing yards with 3 TDs and averaged something crazy like 10 yards a carry. Hes not human....

    Want to hear a funny anecdote? Too bad.

     

    So if you lived in the Bay area at that time and had directtv they covered local games with local announcers. Anyways, they cut away from the end of the 4th in that one deciding some closer game was more important. Only to have the same company advertise a year later that if I had directtv I could've saw the end of that game... fuck directtv I hate your company model.

     

    And as for the comparisons between him and other legends, I must point to his fumbles. He makes his own fans nervous and that is his hurdle to being a legend. That being said, he's on his way. But the next time you see an AP/Barry/GOAT thing, look into turnovers.

     

    Lets look into turnovers then. Through All Days first 6 seasons he has 26 fumbles. Barry Sanders had 28. Sanders also had 10 fumbles in a year. Sanders struggled with fumbles early in his career but corrected the problem much like AD has done.
