Report: Vikings rookie WR Childs out for year
Aug 5 - 1:03 AM
Two sources tell ESPN 1500 Twin Cities that Vikings rookie WR Greg Childs is "almost surely" done for the year after suffering a "significant" injury to both knees during Saturday's camp practice. The Vikings fear Childs tore both patellar tendons. It's a devastating, career-threatening blow for a player who labored through a patellar tendon tear as a senior in college and fell at least two rounds in the draft because of it. The Vikings were hoping Childs would secure the first-team split end job in suspended starter Jerome Simpson's three-game absence, but they'll have to turn elsewhere now. They may explore the free agent or trade market at receiver. The organization has soured on Michael Jenkins, and remains desperate for a wideout capable of stretching the field.

I would personally rather have a RB, WR or QB in second round. You can always pick up guys like Hernandez, Vernon Davis etc in later rounds.

Definitely missed this before I made my last post.

He must have still had issues with his injury to be cut before camp and with that cheap salary.

I have two half sleeves and a chest piece. All of which I got in college and still like. I would not get a tattoo that can't be covered up. Many "real" jobs frown on visible tattoos. I would not get the name of a girlfriend or anything like that. No matter how in love you could be things change. A son, daughter, dead family member or dead friends name etc wouldn't be a bad move. If you decide to get one just make sure it is something you will like for the rest of your life.

Looks like according to Judd Zulgad he returned to the sideline a short time later. Hopefully nothing major.
