  1. so is he dismissing the premise or me or both. I would guess both but I'm interested to read why he dismisses the premise.

For one, no one follows religion word for word. And you can find hypocrisy within any religion.

Two, being fiscally conservative is NOT unethical. If you want to argue voting Republican is questionable you won't get a fight from me.

Three, building off of that... the republican party and fiscal conservatism are not interchangeable.

Four, you also voted for our republican president...so ....

  2. Thanks man, he's from a litter of 13 and there were only 3 males.... wanted to take them all but money talks unfortunately.

    What's your new job??

Orioles are a firesale at the moment... and the Padres... well they are just the Padres unfortunately. Did you ever decide on a NFL team?

Ravens and Lammar Jackson are going to kick ass, I'm telling you now.

    Videos of what??

3 would be a lot of work but I hear you... Once I get a raise next year hopefully I can afford to get myself a dog.

Yeah, I am pretty much supporting the Ravens since I moved to Baltimore. And I work for the army now.

  3. Congrats on the job and soon-to-be fiance. I expect pictures of this 8 week old rottie! My parents just got an 8 week old black lab and she is the best thing ever.

As far as my summer goes, been pretty good. Still settling into the new job and apartment. Have every other friday off, so I have been hitting the beach pretty much every other weekend. Just got a surfboard too, so my goal by the end of summer is to be catching some waves.

WC was pretty awesome. Padres & Orioles suck. So been a mixed-bag sports wise. Hope to see ya on more often but glad you have been kicking ass.

  4. I'll be damned if I'm waking up even earlier to go to the gym. That just makes me feel like shit all day. I don't have a problem with doing it after work though. It can sometimes be a bit harder to get motivated (especially on Fridays lol) but once I'm into the swing of it, it's not bad.

I think my biggest issue is I get so damn hungry at the end of the day plus the gym at my apt is always crowded then. When I have gone early in the morning, I have everything to myself and don't have to deal with idiots. Kinda nice in its own way but...having to go to bed super early sucks for me. Even 10-10:30 is not easy lol.

  5. Wake up at 5:30, grab a coffee from dunkin and start work at 7. Work till 4:30. Get home usually around 5-5:30. Cook and do a chore or two. 7-10 I usually game or watch sports.

Hoping to restart the gym routine but having trouble deciding before or after work. Do you guys have prefs on morning vs evening? My issue is I would have to wake up at 4:30 to work out and that would mean I lose an hour at night for sleep but I would dread working out after work lol

  6. It's to be expected. She's going to get grilled every time she's on TV. Remember that these are massive corporate news mediums. I'm glad Bernie Sanders is taking her under his wing. Say what you want about the guy but one thing you can't take away from him is he is as experienced as it gets.

No issue with her being grilled. I take issue when she gets grilled for things she has already addressed or spoke about. It is more of a reading/listening comprehension kinda thing lol

  7. It is immoral to tell a woman that she can't have a medical procedure that she wants. That once she is impregnated for whatever reason, her body is not hers, but is now a babymaking factory. If you view abortion as the murder of a life, then why should a child be murdered in the case of rape? You know there is a difference between a fetus and a baby, you just can't bring yourself to admit it.

Per wikipedia: Murder is the unlawful killing of another human without justification or valid excuse, especially the unlawful killing of another human being with malice aforethought.

Food for thought: If you view abortion as a murder of life, is aborting fetus conceived through rape considered murder or is it 'a justifiable or a valid excuse'?

It's best not to talk corner cases about abortions, but it comes down to the freedom of individuals, if you believe there are circumstances in which a woman should be free to have an abortion, then you agree that there are no scenarios where someone should legislate what a woman does with her body. In the case of abort if X, don't abort if Y, you're saying that a woman has no freedom of choice, and that she is condemned to carrying a child to term without her decision.

Everyone knows the inherent risk of having sex and it was the woman's choice to partake in it. The mother would then be condemned by the consequences of her decision to have sex which she did with her freedom of choice.

It does get sticky when you talk about legislating what a women does with her body but at the same time on the other side of the fence from your viewpoint, is it unreasonable to say she should be/is responsible for properly carrying the fetus? Is it unreasonable to say the fetus isn't a part of her body since it is genetically different?

Also, there are so many things out there to prevent it from getting to the stage of 'I need to get an abortion.' Birth control, condoms, and Plan B are all widely available and pretty effective. Through the use of those, the odds are heavily in your favor, obviously not 100% effective but the remainder is the inherit risk you carry when you choose to have sex.

  8. I don't really know why the Celtics would be worse for his legacy than the Rockets. I would also think the Wizards would have a higher chance of a title than credited. Maybe, the Raptors too but they would definitely need to ship DeRozan out, they should anyways but that is a topic for another day. I also think the Thunder would be a bad spot, so I think the chances given are too high.

  9. To each their own. I know people who can understand where I am coming from and still disagree. Some enjoyed the movie in it's entirety. I enjoyed everything but the casino my first time through but it hasn't sat well with me as I've thought back on it more. I shouldn't have come out asserting my opinion as if it was fact.

I don't know what you mean by not ruin Rose for you. How would I do that? I've said already I think the backlash the actress has received is not justified at all, and otherwise I've expressed an opinion that Rose was poorly written. I don't know how any of that is capable of ruining the character for you.

As in I don't see how she was poorly written to be hated.
