Visanthe Shiancoe: Vikings have to go with a veteran quarterback

“The quarterback, that’s a dilemma right there,†Shiancoe said, via The Viking Age. “Being as the CBA is kind of cutting this offseason up a little bit — and that’s where camaraderie is built — especially rookies that’s where you learn the system, this is a whole new world for them. So that changes my whole approach on drafting a quarterback high. I would say we draft someone that could be a backup and that can learn. Right now we have to go with a veteran, someone that can adjust on the run. We might not even be practicing until August together, as a team collectively. That throws a monkey wrench in there.â€

IDK, I tend to disagree with Shiancoe on this one, but I think most Vikings fans wont a vet next year... Anyways.

While it's not good to openly admit you have no confidence in your young quarterbacks, it's good to see that he just wants to win. Kudos to Shank.
