Johnson, who was entering his eighth season, joined the Bengals in 2009 as an unrestricted free agent. He had 39 tackles and two sacks in 2009 and then signed a three-year contract last year, but he suffered a knee injury in the Week 8 loss to Miami, which would end his season. Last year, Johnson had 12 tackles and no sacks. Last night’s Tweet from Johnson read: “Left my momma 11 years ago and said momma I’m goin to play football! Been gone every since.
