Eefluxx 113 Posted February 4, 2012 I am hoping some of you guys can help me out with this as some of you are more tech savy than I am. I have cable thru Charter and we have the HD converter box or whatever its called. I get like over 150 channels and whatnot. I can record shows and watch them later and all that. My question is this. I noticed it has a USB input. Can I record a show and transfer it to a flash drive to move to a computer and download it to disk? And if I can how it is done? RANGA+ 1,210 Posted February 5, 2012 You should be able to connect it direct to your PC and transfer over the files. Though I'm not sure how things work over in the US. In Australia, the boxes are specifically locked down to stop you doing that (because of copyright regulations) and even if you manage to work around it, the file comes out in some weird ass format that you have to play around with to get it to play on a computer. Eefluxx 113 Posted February 5, 2012 (edited) Thanks It may be locked in the US too. I think I will ask around some of the guys at work might now something and might have tried it. I know they have the same box as I do. Edited February 5, 2012 by Eefluxx
