PackIsBack 124 Posted May 10, 2012 I made this one a while back and posted it here, but since I'm trying to get back into making graphics, I'd like to get as much feedback on this as possible. I'm just trying to get better and keep working on it since I do enjoy it My first initial question is how do I get more interesting text? I have the default texts but they all look like I just came from using Microsoft Word and I definitely don't like that so any suggestions on that would definitely be beneficial
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted May 10, 2012 http://www.thegridironpalace.com/forums/index.php?/topic/59034-6-useful-text-styles/ Interesting tutorial there on a few different popular texts to use. Makes it a little flashier. Everyone knows that I need all the help I can get with text. I like to just throw it behind my render and hide.. haha

badgers 380 Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) http://www.dafont.com/ Huge ass collection of different fonts. They split it up into categories. Some of my favorites for sigs are: Bebas Neue (that's the font in my Greg Jennings sig) Foobar Pro Steelfish Couture Big Noodle Titling All very basic. Edit- If you use Photoshop or something similar, it also helps to turn on font smoothing so that you don't have those pixely edges on the text. BoneKrusher+ 1,276 Posted May 10, 2012 Rockwell or Impact are good looking basic fonts you might wanna try as well as the ones Badgers mentioned. another tip is to experiment with these fonts with/with out caps lock, it can change the impact of your text lines with one simple click.
