The unveiling of the 2015-16 NFL season is finally upon us as we all wait impatiently for the first games to kick off as noon CT. I know the NFL likes to parade a TNF game to start the year, but it honestly feels like a sad extension of the preseason. This is the real deal. So let's all celebrate. Make your favorite game day food. Stock up on your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Call your mother and tell her that your phone won't ring on Sundays until March. Tell your boss that voluntary weekends are really just that--voluntary. Do your homework on Friday or Saturday night. Buy your girlfriend a succession of gifts so she doesn't get angry when you ignore her on Sundays. Nothing can go wrong for the next 20ish weeks.
