Cowboys @ Falcons

Recommended Posts

The Falcons have won three in a row against the Cowboys, including a 27-7 home win last season. The three-game skid is tied for Dallas' longest active losing streak against an NFC opponent (Seattle).

Dallas earned its first road win of the season last week, beating the Eagles 27-20. The Cowboys have won 10 straight when scoring at least 20 points, including 4-0 this year. They're 0-5 when failing to score 20.

Atlanta averages 32.2 points at home but allows 30.6 per game -- only Oakland (32.8) allows more. Both the Falcons and their opponent have gained at least 400 yards in each of their five home games -- the five-game streak is the longest in the Super Bowl era.

Dak Prescott threw for 270 yards against Philadelphia, three shy of his season high from Week 7 against Washington. In his career, Dallas has gone 9-3 (.750) when Prescott throws for at least 250 yards and 4-0 when he completes at least 70.0 percent of passes in 250+ yard games.

Matt Ryan attempted 52 passes in last week's loss to Cleveland, his most since Week 8 of the 2013 season. In his career, Atlanta has gone 39-5 (.886) when Ryan attempts 30 or fewer passes compared to 60-63 (.488) when he attempts more than 30.

Tevin Coleman has two rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns this season. He is the only active RB to do that in three straight seasons; Todd Gurley II, Melvin Gordon III, Christian McCaffrey and Kareem Hunt are the only other active RBs with streaks of multiple seasons.

This Falcons Cowboys game is turning out to be a good defensive struggle. Which is weird since the Falcons suck on D.
