    2020 Democratic Primary Race

@ThanatosDidn't every poll say that Hillary had like 99% of beating Trump? If Biden wins the nomination, millennials will stay home and if millennials stay home, the Democrats are guaranteed to lose to Trump. Can you imagine how bad Biden is going to look on a debate stage with just one other guy? Lol. He's clearly got dimentia...clearly. You're out of your mind.

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

Biden would not smash Trump lol. Millions of democrats would just not vote and Biden isn't pulling any independents I promise you that lol. Biden is a far less intelligent version of Hillary Clinton. Only old people like Biden and the Democrats need a high turn out of 18-35 year olds who Biden has told on more than one occasion to fuck off. I'm voting Green Party if Biden gets the nomination. We'll survive four more years of Trump. I won't be extorted for my vote. Also, Biden is trying to block a climate debate and is almost certain to take fossil fuel money if he isn't already. There's no difference between Biden and Trump. None.

https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2019-trump-or-biden-quotes-quiz/ So this is utterly hilarious. What was your score? I got 7/15 and I recognized a couple of the quotes and knew who said them lol.

How did he try it and it didn't work? The Prussians had a reformation and public education was a huge part of it. A lot of ideas came from Prussia/Germany.
  7. Ok so let's get a good conservative vs liberal ideology debate going. A lot of people say that without the possibility of being fantastically wealthy that society would crumble. Everyone would lose all motivation and become lazy because the government will just take care of them. They use this to defend the free market as if it exists in nature but it doesn't. I'm about to fuck your minds of with some logic though so check it out lol. I think people are MUCH more motivated by respect, admiration and love. When you live in a society that worships material shit and money people think that that is the path to some sort of validation. My argument is that money isn't the only way to achieve that. Men are HIGHLY motivated by PUSSY. More than they ever will be by money. Almost no matter what your job is, if you're the best at it. If you're a leader. If people count on you to make shit happen, you get pussy. That's biological, not some made up free market bullshit. That's literally wired into our DNA. It's not JUST pussy though. People who are good at what they do and work hard earn the respect of their peers. People listen to what they have to say as a result of that. There are always going to be natural hierarchies amongst human beings. It's just how we organize ourselves. We don't need money for that at all. What's one man? The possibility exists only through the cooperative efforts of the collective. In the wild, one man will be eaten by an animal with claws and teeth, an animal that is bigger and faster. With one another we can figure out how to kill a fucking mammoth with a spear. No matter how special someone might think they are and how successful they might be, NOBODY does shit on their own. We all stand on the shoulders of thousands of generations of people and just everyone's daily life is made possible by the people that make sure your shit doesn't get mixed in with your water and you get sick and die. Where would Jeff Bezos be if he had to worry about that? The efforts of these people afford us the luxary to think about things like comfort instead of just survival. It allows us to even be able to have this question and to have this debate.

    What are we motivated by?

This isn't up for debate though my friend. It's a fact. The Prussians were a militaristic society and at the time we're considered the best army in the world but then they lost to Napoleon and for a country that basically traded on that it was not a good look. Their army was so good because it was so regimented. There were people who wanted to bring that discipline to the citizenry which they wanted to be as uniform, organized and disciplined as their army. They wanted "obedient workers for the mines, obedient soldiers for the army, well subordinated civil servants the the government, well subordinated clerks to industry and citizens who thought alike in major issues." That guy Horace Mann I told you about went to Prussia and decided it would work in America too. Idk you should at least look up what I'm telling you before you say you don't believe it. Like I said, I read newspapers the dude published in college. This isn't from conspiracy theory.com. it's historical fact. This dude does a great job of explaining it. It absolutely is us vs them.

    What are we motivated by?

@BwareDWare94It's by design but I do think you're right that technology and social media in particular plays a role. If you get a chance look up a guy named Horace Mann. He brought us the factory model of public education from Prussia. He sold it to the rich by saying it was a way to control the working class and he sold it to the working class by saying it was the great equalizer. Basically it's larger function is selecting for obedience more so than it is to teach independent/critical thought. (No @Thanatos it isn't a conspiracy theory. It's historical fact that I read partially from newspapers the man published himself in the 1800's)

    What are we motivated by?

It's both the responsibility of loved ones and friends and the person who's suffering. Not an either or scenario to me. We have a responsibility as human beings to treat people with empathy kindness and respect and anyone who says different is an asshole tbh.

    What are we motivated by?

@BwareDWare94 I created this thread to challenge the notion that social hierarchies can only be based on having more money and more material possessions than the next guy. Like for me, even if I'm not getting paid a lot of money, I like to be good at what I do and have the respect and trust of my co-workers.

@Thanatos What do you think the APA is going to say? I guarantee you they're not going to find anything that will hurt their wallet. There are plenty of people with experience in the field and lots of degrees that say people are over medicated

    What are we motivated by?

The early diagnosis point is HUGE. Kids are being put on these medicines well before their brains have developed and there no studies on kids since that's illegal so you're basically singning your kid up to be a guinea pig because teachers can't handle 30 kids in a classroom. For all we know some of these imbalances are caused by the medication. I was bad in school because I had a fucked up home life. My dad is a crackhead and he used to beat my mom's ass a couple times a week. I was in the Sped room my entire school career until college and I saw a lot of kids on those medicines and it's only gotten worse now. My brothers are 8 and 10 years younger than me and they said most of the kids in their classes were on some sort of drug. I think psychiatrists are scan artists. Nothing you will say will change my mind. After my experience in school this was reaffirmed by my experience in rehab facilities and prison. People can be fully functional after losing half their brain to a stroke. It's called neural plasticity and that shit happens with therapy and rehab. VERY few people actually need those medicines. I'm all for people going to see a therapist/psychologist but the rest is almost always bullshit imo.

I think even a therapist would say that they can't fix people's mental issues but they can support them and guide them and help them with strategies to cope. I don't think he was saying that you shouldn't seek help if you're depressed or whatever. The drugs psychiatrists prescribe just mask issues the same way alcohol or recreational drugs do (it's no coincidence than many of those psych drugs are used recreationally/abused) again, I have experience with addiction, I have experience with therapists and psychiatrists as well as truly imbalanced people (my uncle is schizophrenic). You can't make depression or anger go away with a pill, nor should you attempt to. @Thanatos

    Trump Regime thread.

Compared to who though? She was charismatic enough to be the most searched candidate after both debates according to Google. You telling me Beto made it and not Tulsi? How about Amy Klobuchar? Does anyone even know who she is? https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/1887209001 She hit the individual donor mark weeks ago. I might stop saying it's rigged if the DNC comes out and tells us how they pick which polls they use to say who qualifies. It doesn't matter what the voters want, we're getting Warren. They're going to cheat Sanders. The DNC woul rather have 4 more years of Trump than to win with a candidate who isn't a party insider. They're owned by all the same donors as the GOP and they will do whatever it takes to "secure the bag."

    What are we motivated by?

Yeah I feel most people's issues are trauma related and emotional, not chemical. There are some people who need a psychiatrist and who need meds but those people are few and far between.

    What are we motivated by?

I should have said in the post but I think people should see therapists to learn how to cope. I Believe in cognitive behavioral therapy but I do think psychiatrists are drug dealers. I have had experience with both.

    What are we motivated by?

If you feel lucky and grateful 85% of the time then you're in a good place. Human beings have ups and downs. There's nothing you can do to stop it. You could have a billion dollars and a family that you love and that loves you and you will go through ups and downs. When I was in jail I had good days and I had bad days. Perspective is key. Prayer is a form of reflection and can absolutely be therapuedic. I think organized religion is bullshit, personally but I do believe that it can help people to be vulnerable to feel like they're heard. I don't really trust psychiatrists either. To me they're mostly glorified drug dealers. I think there are people who need meds but most people just need to learn coping mechanisms or maybe most importantly just need to be honest with themselves which is maybe the hardest thing to do in life. I do think prayer helps a lot of people with the latter.

I couldn't find where I read it first and just linked it to that one real quick. Just about more expansion into the West Bank. That plus the embassy and the Iran policy. Plus Israel has a lot of influence in US elections and it's kind of known. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.thenational.ae/opinion/comment/kushner-s-real-purpose-has-little-to-do-with-a-peace-plan-and-everything-to-do-with-us-domestic-politics-1.894406 Found it

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

The only way Warren could beat Sanders is by the DNC stealing the election. There's no way she beats him in a legitimate election and Warren is nothing like Sanders and the reason why is very simple. Sanders isn't taking corporate cash. Warren if anything would be an Obama/Bill Clinton redux from a policy stand point but she is nowhere near the salesman either of them was. I don't see how you can think Sanders is just another run of the mill Democrat lol. MSDNC hates him just as much as Fox News does. If he was just a typical Democrat CNN and MSDNC would sucking his dick non-stop.

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

I know you hate Bernie but that just is not grounded in any facts. Just because you want it to be true, doesn't mean it is. If your point is that Tulsi is more viable as a general election candidate I could buy that because I think her support among the libertarian crowd would bring a lot of people out to vote and it would pull votes from Trump but I'll say it until I'm blue in the face. In the primary nobody has anything even remotely close to Sanders' grass roots campaign. Nobody has as much money as he does. Nobody has as many donors as he does and nobody gets the turnout at events that he does. It's not even close. The debates are shaped around issues that he's made popular. His medicare bill, his crime bill, his student loan forgiveness bill. You keep saying Warren is taking a bite out of his support and that may be true (weird argument for a primary imo) but even in the span of debates one and two she has never raised more money than him. It's not enough to make him not the prohibitive favorite by every measure except for the polls which it's pretty easy to tell are rigged and even then, Warren isn't ahead of him in the polls, it's Biden. https://www.opensecrets.org/members-of-congress/summary?cid=N00000528&cycle=CAREER https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.marketwatch.com/amp/story/guid/A19079DC-B20C-11E9-8C83-F2D8F2B1B1E9 So Sanders has more than 10 million in cash than Warren with 96% of it coming from individual donors compared to Warren's 46%. What does that tell you?

    2020 Democratic Primary Race

The only way Tulsi gets a position like that is if Sanders wins. Her foreign policy is one of the chief reasons that she's ostracized by the Democratic party and would also be one of the chief reasons why if she does gain a lot of momentum and gets close to the nomination that they would cheat her. There's a lot of money on the line and the same fossil fuels and defense companies that own the Republicans are the ones that own the DNC. Again, they've already stated in court that they have no obligation to run a fair or transparent primary and they know that no matter who they run they're guaranteed to get votes because millions of people are already saying they'll vote for whoever they nominate no matter what. IDGAF. We've survived 4 years of Trump. We made it through 8 years of Bush. I won't let them extort me for me vote and support. Fuck. That.
