You never really refuted that beyond saying "anal icky" like that was the objection the store owners had to it (as if that were valid regardless). Gay people didn't choose to be attracted to men the same way you didn't choose to be attracted to women. While its probably not purely genetic (like ngata said), that doesn't mean its a conscious choice. So again, why is it ok to discriminate against someone based on sexual attraction but not race?
-
lmao you're ridiculous. What about lesbians? They (usually) don't do anal so are they good? Or is it just one man + one woman, missionary, in the dark, after marriage, for procreation, and you have to be thinking about the queen just to be safe?
-
I doubt that they're refusing to decorate cakes for straight couples that like to do anal. Try again.
-
Ok. You believe sexuality is a choice. That's dumb and wrong, but at least you've admitted your stance. Was that so hard?
-
So you'd be ok if he said "I won't provide my cake decorating services for an interracial marriage because according yo my religious beliefs it is wrong. Have a blank cake instead."?
-
How is it irrelevant? It's about not supporting the the message.

You really don't think think theres a correlation between anti-homosexuality and anti-islam in the US right now?
-
Wow. I haven't heard that one in a long time. Not to get too off-topic but: A) It wasn't a mosque, it was a community center for Muslims. That's like calling a YMCA a church. B) The same people who discriminate against gay people fought hard against that. There's a reason you know about it. C) It never actually got built due to the backlash.

Not to mention there are religions other than Christianity that the US has to respect equally to Christianity and the fact that a religion can literally made up by anyone means that you can't really use it as a reasonable means for discrimination.
-
Christians 100% used their religion to justify Jim Crow.

So if a baker was against interracial marriage, you'd be fine with them refusing to make a cake for such a wedding?

S'all good, man

Because if cities within a state have a larger population it could skew the votes to candidates that are popular in the cities.
-
Why does it work for state elections?
-
The republican tax plan literally targeted blue states since they know those votes don't matter.
-
The popular vote fixes that without making certain people's votes count more than others.

He was supposed to lead the entire empire. He lead 2-3 million people to their deaths just because he didn't think they were worth saving.
-
I think the issue was more about the "One of the greatest leaders of modern times" part of it.
-
Are you saying Winston Churchill wasnt a racist piece of shit? Because he absolutely was. Even by the standards of the day.
-
It subdivides the votes earned in a state but still keeps the number of votes per state consistent. It'd be less bad than what we have now but it still would mean that the value of a person's vote changes based on where they live.
-
Nikki Haley just resigned. Huh.
-
Also, just to point out the house (and not therefore electoral college votes) was supposed to grow a state the population did, but then they just decided to cap it at the level set in 1910 (US Population 92 million) for no real good reason.
-
Or maybe give each state a say exactly proportional to the number of people that vote.
-
Yeah, and their thought was that more informed electors would override the peoples' vote. I think we've demonstrably proven that will never happen outside of of or two meaningless protests. It means that it doesn't mean that those states would simply decide everything since it would count people that vote the opposite way of their neighbors everywhere.

I agree. But don't be let perfect be the enemy of better.
