  1. PM is one of the all time choke artists to ever play the game and Luck is the most over hyped piece of garbage, neanderthal looking QB who has ever played the game. He's going to be out of his prime by the time the Colts front office can undo the damage Grigson has done. The Colts aren't doing shit for the next few decades, sorry.

    ...

  2. I have been watching the Colts line for years...the best being that run with Peyton under center that had the "dancing bear" from cal at LT, Tarik Glenn. The selection of Glenn and Adam Meadows in the 97 draft (19th and 48th respectively) the year before PM was drafted was very fortunate timing.

This current o-line has had a lack of talent, an inability to stay healthy, a offensive system that features slow developing plays, and a QB who has a hard time giving up on a play and living to play another down. However, the last third of last season brought a glimpse of what could be.

Luck HAS to stop being the warrior and throw the ball away. PM used to do it every drive. Luck hardly ever does. The line got much better at pass pro and should continue to improve this season. Our WR have to get better at blocking for screens.

Good news is the run blocking is already getting there. PFF has a stat (I can't post it because I am not an elite member), but it basically says that the Colts were one of the 3 highest teams in relation to producing yards on the ground before contact. They were The Bills, Colts, and the Titans. With the selection of Marlon Mack in the draft, we might see a changing run game. Time will tell. At the very least, the future looks to be on the uptick.

  3. Hmm...the Colts became relevant after the move from the east coast with Jones to Carr, Captain Comeback, and then with Peyton....and this is a result of league interest?

I remember us sucking big time. We were the spot where old vets came to die.

  4. If Luck's frayed Labrum is not serious, I see the Colts regaining some muscle in the division. It's still a paper tiger, but the defense looks to have some upside. It can't get worse...can it?

Titans are very solid. It really is about MM's ability to make that next leap. Texans? Let's see what Watt brings back and what they have at the QB. I still am not sure about the Jags. I do think it is going to be a really bitter competition in this division. I am counting on at least one "drop the sticks and swing" moment in each division game. Ooops, that hockey.

  5. Loosening up on celebrations makes the game more fun for everyone

Perhaps not everyone..... I really appreciate you as a poster...and no offense, but I try and refrain from speaking for others. A common example is..."We all know this defense sucks", or "No one wants this QB under center".

All good, but I personally find celebrating to be a display of selfish, look at me behavior. I find celebrations to be distracting from the game. But I dont feel that my way of thinking is the right way...just my way. As all things in life, it isn't in the average person that rules are stretched until something has to be changed...it is in the 5%. I may be wrong, but this may get out of hand...not by the majority, but by the 5%, and they might need to scale it back soon enough. Hope to hell I am wrong.....

    • Dontari Poe: 346 lbs, 7.90 3-cone
    • B.J. Raji: 337 lbs, 7.90 3-cone
    • Haloti Ngata: 338 lbs, 7.97 3-cone
    • Brandon Williams: 335 lbs, 8.09 3-cone

  7. Lots of opinions about his ability to get yards inside. Here are some highlights from the 2014 season before they changed their offensive approach. Kid has that change of direction that makes defenders go, "Doh!". He may turn out to be a really effective runner for the Colts.

  9. Colts pleased me.....6 of 8 picks were D. I truly believe the board fell that way, but I imagine that at least two picks had an "O" and a "D" player in the same small tier and chose the D because of need. Chris Ballard has a theme ....length, size, speed, big hands.

Malik Hooker: The Colts had 7 int's as a team last year. He had 6 picks in his first season starting and four were returned for the house...though one was decleated by a penalty. He has special length and sees the ball as "His" when it's in the air. Needs to learn pro route runners and take better angles. Outstanding young man. I like this pick at 15 immensely. Only the second time in Indianapolis they have taken a S in the first round. The other.....Bob Sanders.

Quincy Wilson: Only the second time the Colts have drafted a corner in the five year Pagano window (Although Davis was a FA that was acquired through a pick). Bout fucking time we cared for the secondary of this defense. He's a large corner, can play from multiple depths, and gave up the lowest QB rating in the SEC last season. I was on the edge of pleasure with the Hooker pick...had to change my underwear after Wilson.

Tarell Basham: Mac player, steady increase in production, can get to the QB. Probably comes off the edge and plays strongside at just over 250. I was hoping for better pressure in the first 3 picks, but the quality of the first two picks will perhaps give the front end another second or two by this time next year. I sighed some relief with this pick.

Zach Banner: A cab ride to get around, this guy has rare size and length. I have watched every interview since his selection and I came away impressed. I think he is focused on keeping his weight down, and should be our RT of the future. At 6'8" and tre fitty, he is a big dude. Smart, funny, and might end up being that "glue" that binds the line down the road. Once locked on, he can take guys out of the zip code. Predraft interview with Cowherd....

Marlon Mack: Thanks god we finally got a RB. Fast, can catch the ball, hard worker. Good lateral speed when cutting. Should spell Gore a bit while learning protection at the next level. Has to get better at securing, but he is a legit home run threat. Needs to watch Gore get the 4 yard needed rather than dance for glory.

    more later........
