For all you young 'ens that wonder why Leonard Little was still playing when Goodell was bringing down the hammer on guys like Plaxico, Vick, and Stallworth......ask Tags.     What an absurd statement. The author says "yes" and then spends the next 4-5 paragraphs basically questioning his own sanity for even broaching the subject.

    The Vikings signed away the guy who has been protecting Peyton Manning's blindside for the last four years, so "RIP McNabb" my ass. Ask Brett Favre how well McKinnie protected anything.

     

    He's a fucking overrated, overpaid hack who always got his ass kicked by pass rushing DE's. Good riddance. There's not a Vikings fan alive who will miss this sack of shit.

    Must of only had offers from the crappiest of teams. One of the best receivers in history, but I still have to say good riddance to a classless person.

     

    Classless? Do you have any fucking idea how much charity work he did? I'll answer that for you....no, you don't. He did more charity work than people will ever know about it because he tried hard to keep it from the media. He was extremely active with kids and youth groups in Minnesota and West Virginia. From football camps to helping out in schools to paying for a 13 year old North Dakota girls entire cancer treatment.

    Yeah I still take Kurt. I mean obviously they're both very musically talented, but Kurt Cobain's voice and guitar playing is unbelievable. Screw whoever says Nirvana is overrated.

    Back in June, we learned that a football game would be taking place in The Dark Knight Rises, and that extras would be needed in August. Now we know exactly where this scene will be shot. The Pittsburgh Steelers have confirmed that their stadium, Heinz Field, will be part of The Dark Knight Rises.     Almost nothing can derail a deal now

    As another week of negotiations comes to an end, all signs are that a deal between the NFL and its players is so close that those in the room can practically taste it.

     

    NFL Network’s Albert Breer reported Friday evening that an agreement is expected on a new deal early next week, and there is almost nothing that can stop it now.

     

    Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke briefly to reporters today and, although he wouldn’t come right out and say it was close, certainly seemed to be pleased with the progress that has been made. Jones is staying in town over the weekend to keep working toward an end to the lockout next week.

     

    All expectations are that the owners will vote to approve a new deal on Thursday in Atlanta.

    Men’s Journal writer defends James Harrison, blasts “idiot†quarterbacks

    Steelers linebacker James Harrison claimed his words were twisted when he was quoted by Men’s Journal as ripping some of his own teammates. But the writer whose integrity was called into question by Harrison is not upset by Harrison’s remarks — and he agrees with everything Harrison says.

     

    Paul Solotaroff, who wrote the Men’s Journal article in question, said on ESPN Radio this morning that Harrison had to back away from some of his comments about teammates Ben Roethlisberger and Rashard Mendenhall to keep the peace in the Steelers’ locker room.

     

    “We talked about 11 o’clock yesterday morning,†Solotaroff said on Thursday. “Look, James is the guy who’s got to live with Ben for the next three years. . . . So as I told James, ‘Listen, whatever you’ve got to say to mend fences is perfectly fine with me.’â€

     

    Still, Solotaroff stands by what he wrote and even hinted that Harrison said worse things about Roethlisberger than what appears in the article.

     

    “I filled up three notebooks, I don’t know how many hours of digital tape, and I cut so much stuff from this piece,†Solotaroff said. “There is just acres of stuff James said that’s compelling and amusing and riveting. And that wasn’t the only thing he said about Ben.â€

     

    Regarding what may have been the most violent of Harrison’s hits last season, the brutal blow to Browns receiver Mohamed Massaquoi, Solotaroff said that if you’re looking for someone to blame, blame Browns quarterback Colt McCoy.

     

    “Massaquoi is coming across the middle and only an idiot kid quarterback is going to lead his receiver — lead his receiver! — into a zone knowing that James Harrison is lurking back there,†Solotaroff said.

     

    Solotaroff is an unabashed fan of Harrison’s and in his radio appearance he ripped NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for cracking down on Harrison’s style of play.

     

    “I was furious at the way James got done by Goodell last year,†Solotaroff said. “I thought making him the poster boy for this abrupt and arbitrary rule change . . . was about the most wrongheaded thing you could do, particularly since Goodell seemed bent on singling James out.â€

    I'd argue the Foo Fighters are a bigger band then Nirvana was AND, without question, Grohl is a thousand times more talented as a musician - drumming, guitar, song writing, performer, singer. Across the board. He's one of the most supremely talented musicians of our generation.
