    No neg from me. I don't think you can question Goodell's intentions. Maybe his execution of the rules and fines, but he's trying to keep these guys from becoming complete cripples before the age of 40. Oh, and out of jail cells too.

    I consider what Jackson said to be complete and utter nonsense too. It's not like he put a lot of thought into it.

     

    When has he ever put a lot of thought into anything he's ever said? Speaking off the cuff is a lot like drunk talk.....a lot of truth comes out when the brain doesn't have time to filter it.

    Harrison is a fucking baffoon and always has been. The Lawrence Timmons Era is going to begin a lot sooner. LB's are plug & play in Pittsburgh and Harrison is gonna be on a fast train out of town sooner rather than later.

     

    - He rips Big Ben for throwing a pick...yet he had ONE tackle in the Super Bowl.

     

    - He wants Ben to hand off to the guy he just called a "fumble machine"....despite Mendenhall only fumbling twice all season.

     

    - And then his comments about HIS BOSS. Regardless of what you think about Goodell, these comments cross the line. They're so far over the line, you need Hubble to even see it.

     

    The Rooney's have long stood for class when it comes to the NFL. Let's see if they still have any.

     

    And someone explain to me how Goodell can be both a puppet AND a dictator? If he's a puppet then he's essentially calling out the Rooneys then, too. Oh and if you hate him that much......then GTFO. Quit. Go pump gas for a living then and don't make millions in the communist NFL anymore.

    Ravens running back Ray Rice has weighed in on the weekend drunk driving arrest of Steelers receiver Hines Ward, and Rice thinks the arrest will mean Ward is suspended for the Week One Steelers-Ravens game.

     

    “Well it looks like Hines Ward will miss week 1 when the lockout ends DUI charge not a good look,†Rice tweeted.

     

    Whether Rice is correct or not about Ward being out for Week One remains to be seen, but ESPN.com notes that drunk driving is a matter of great personal importance to Rice: His cousin was killed by a drunk driver in 1998, and he has worked with the state of Maryland to campaign against drunk driving. So it’s easy to see why Rice felt inclined to chime in.

     

    Steelers safety Ryan Clark, however, didn’t like it, telling Rice, “So glad you could Weigh in†and “Thought we were all better than that.â€

     

    Rice’s reply to Clark was, “you know how to find me.â€

    Just to make sure I understand this......DeSean and black people in general wouldn't have a problem if I called the show and started calling them all niggers right? It's no more acceptable to use that word than it is to casually throw around ANY slurs. It has nothing to do with "having thick skin." It's called evolving as people and a society.

    Well, the NCAA reaps what it sows. College football went from a niche, localized sport, to arguably the second most profitable league in the country after the NFL. You make BILLIONS off these schools, games, TV deals, oh yeah....and KIDS.

     

    They created this monster and have no clue to how corral it.

    I don't know about down there, but the MLB Authentic balls up here are like, $25 each.

     

    OK....spend $25 and go home alive with your kid then. Or don't lean over the railing for it and let it go, and chances are pretty good that Josh Hamilton will toss you another one at some point in the game to make up for it.

     

    It doesn't matter how dumb or senseless the guy was. That's a safety liability that should be addressed. Especially if its the second time it happens. A venue that large, that serves that many people, has to take precautions for all sorts of people, whether they be dumb, fat, ugly, w.e.

     

    You can't stupid proof the whole world, bud. Not saying this particular guy was stupid, but you can't build everything in the world that prevents people from being fucking jackass who hurt themselves or people around them.

     

    People still run onto freeways....they still jump off tall buildings....they still text "LOL!" on the phone right before they drive into an oncoming train.
