Vin not axing 6 teams? Lame. KEEP REPLACE WITH Don't @ me. KEEP REPLACE WITH REPLACE WITH REPLACE WITH KEEP REPLACE WITH KEEP (though not as division champs) KEEP KEEP REPLACE WITH

I was thinking Saric+Covingtion+2019 1st +2021 1st (unprotected from MIA). But that's only appealing if the Spurs want to do a little rebuild. I think, in getting DeRozan, they're saying they don't want to rebuild anything.

I have to question how much the Sixers really wanted Kawhi because they totally could have beat that in terms of trade compensation.
-
FUCK YES
-
Absolutely. I think they'll be the #3 or #4 seed, depending on how OKC does.

Love that movie. Have a soft spot because it's Gandolfini but I love it anyway.

Deadpool 2. Might have actually been more laugh-out-loud funny than the first one. Whereas the first relied more on shock value for laughs, the sequel walks the meta fine line a little better, I think. A few parts nearly had me in tears. And stick around for the mid-credits scenes.

I kinda like that the Sixers are just gonna roll with their young core. Let's see what Fultz can do. If he reaches his potential then Embiid/Saric/Fultz/Simmons is good enough to win a championship (assuming all 4 reach their full potential). Nobody's beating Golden State this year anyway. Gotta load up for 2019.

I'm feeling an Eagles/Packers NFCCG, and what a treat that would be to watch.

There are at least 4 teams I could easily see representing the NFC in the Super Bowl this year, whereas the AFC is the Patriots and the...?

Would a hard salary cap fix the lack of competitive balance? I know it's tricky because rosters are so small, but maybe there's a way to do it. Way too many loopholes right now. Why is the mid-level exception a thing?

The Sixers will definitely be in on Kawhi next summer, assuming they don't get another star before then. But trading for him now is tricky. You could be trading for a one-year rental if he bolts next summer. I don't think the Sixers should offer much, maybe Covington+1st. I wouldn't offer Saric or Fultz.
-
Unreal. Now, even if the Lakers add Kawhi, they're still an underdog against the Warriors in a 7-game series. Without Kawhi I feel comfortable saying they have no shot.
-
I'd love Kawhi on the Sixers, I just don't think he ends up there.

MVP: Carson Wentz OPOY: Antonio Brown DPOY: Aaron Donald OROY: Saquon Barkley DROY: Roquan Smith COY: Doug Pederson Including conference championships is weird. BCpls. Save your weird predictions, folks. It's gonna be a rematch and repeat result. >

Your team's best candidate for end of season awards
SteVo replied to oochymp's topic in General NFL Talk
MVP: Carson Wentz. No commentary needed. OPOY: Carson Wentz. The wealth is shared all around on our offense, so there's no one skill player who would likely make a strong case for this. DPOY: Brandon Graham. Contract year, and he has more opportunities for sacks than Cox. OROY: Dallas Goedert. This is a longshot, but I can see the Eagles running plenty of 2-TE sets to give this kid touches. He could end up big in the red zone with teams focusing on Jeffery and Ertz. DROY: Josh Sweat. Close to 0% chance this happens. CPOY: Jason Peters. I don't think Wentz missed enough of the season to qualify, and maybe Peters doesn't either. He's our best candidate. -
Lakers will probably get Kawhi this or next summer. Even if they don't, they will have more cap flexibility than the Cavs would have had. Get ready for some LaVar, baby.
-
It seems like it's either the Lakers or Sixers right now for LeBron, but it really feels like it's gonna be LA.

I was on vacation and completely missed that Trotz is out...what the hell happened?

A lot of people hate TLJ because it's cool and trendy to do so. I agree, to a lesser extent, with blots, that the film's reputation will improve over time. Of course, this is indeed contingent on how Episode IX plays out. I think the greatest weakness in the new trilogy, so far, is the lack of communication between films. It's very obvious J.J. Abrams had a certain vision in mind directing TFA, and then Rian Johnson took TLJ in a completely different direction. Both films are still exceptional on their own, but they don't hold together as well as connected parts of a series.

The LeBron James Decision-Making Machine, courtesy of FiveThirtyEight: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-lebron-james-decision-making-machine/ tl;dr: The best team for LeBron in terms of winning a tittle is Houston. The best team for LeBron in terms of legacy is Cleveland. The best team for LeBron in terms of a combination of both factors is Philadelphia.

Because his junior year was spectacular. Scouts just need to see 8-10 good games in a prospect and they become convinced they can be an NFL star.

Offense: RB Daniel Thomas, Dolphins Defense: OLB Brooks Reed, Texans Some other guys who have a good shot IMO: RB Ryan Williams, Cardinals RB Mark Ingram, Saints WR Julio Jones, Falcons TE Lance Kendricks, Rams DE Marcell Dareus, Bills LB Martez Wilson, Saints CB Jimmy Smith, Ravens

I think LeBron could benefit with pairing with a PG that means he can play off the ball (like Simmons or Paul). But it's up to him and, as you said, it's an important decision to make.
