I think the whole thing would have been a non-issue if Suh hadn't brought his hands so high for the tackle. From my comfortable seat at home, it looks like he had time to adjust for a lower hit, at least below the armpits. But I wasn't lined up and I didn't see what he saw or deal with a lineman in my face. But the rules are the rules, and the commish warned this was coming. Nowadays, when you tackle a QB that high, Goodell and the zebras are going to react pretty swiftly, not likely in a way that will make the tackler happy.

Not sure I'd want to see him there.

Felt a little different from my usual style so I figured I'd post.

Just for clarification, not diggin' the font itself or "the heir", or is it the effects? I rarely use them but I thought they felt right for this one with the stadium lights. I was a bit torn between a few font styles. As for blending the render itself, what do you suggest? Blend it in with the BG stock or just fade him out around the edges?

That's the best way to do it. If an artist is comfortable it may be time to switch gears. I'm kind of at that point....time to find some new twists. As for the sig, love it except for the number font, only because the number is tricky to make out at first.

Sounds like he's being a trooper about it, which doesn't come as much of a surprise. With so much younger talent at receiver there, it was bound to become a topic of discussion. As already mentioned, I think he'll still play great regardless of where he lines up....he's Donald Driver.

Overrated: Marshall, although I still acknowledge how much better he makes that receiving corps. Underrated: Bess. I still don't hear enough about him in top slot receiver conversations, and I think he deserves to be right up there.

Diggin the BG, and the idea is a good one, but it doesn't seem to come together for me. Maybe the render or the text standing out a bit much(although the style works for me)...maybe both. But yeah, cool idea. On a side note, I'd be interested to find out how you got the render in your sig looking like that. I'm always a fan of the drawn/painted look.

This sounds a little bit like a double standard, because even the Colts, Packers, and Cowboys had stretches where their QB was not what put their team on the map. Yes, Miami has struggled this decade to find a solid QB, but I hardly think that overshadows the fact that Marino and Griese were both career Dolphins, both appeared in Super Bowls, and both are in the HOF. The other consideration is the age of the franchise...Miami is younger than all the teams mentioned, ranked or honorable. In 45 seasons, 31 of them have seen Griese or Marino on the team...so pretty close to 70% of Miami's existence. I'm more than willing to accept they may not be top 3, mostly because of Marino's lack of a ring and the QB carousel since 2000. I'm simply saying they deserve to be in the discussion.

Well said. I heard a small bit of one of the discussions this morning. I don't know much about baseball, but even I was pretty dumbfounded they were even suggesting it wouldn't happen.

Fair enough. If they each hadn't had some kind of problem to deal with, maybe they could have been amazing. My only other suggestion would be Griese/Marino as mentions at QB. Those 2 alone spanned most of 3 decades and ended up in the Hall. Marino's lack of a ring hurts him, though, when put up against the other names you have there.

My only complaint is that it's a little tough to tell that's a T at first(probably just my shitty eyesight), but that's where the critique ends. Came together nicely.

Heard this on ESPN earlier and I thought it was just speculation. I don't see how this move benefits anyone....other than Daunte being paid for essentially being a distraction to Smith (if they are serious about him not competing for the starting role).

I've been in Danny's corner ever since he came out of Chadron St. Would be nice to see him have a solid career. Not many people work as hard as he does.

I honestly have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that if a player doesn't live up to hype after his rookie year that he is already a bust. Some of the greatest took longer than a year. We are in a much more impatient sports culture than before, it seems.
