...or anyone else who's been to a Seahawks game. Looks like I've won a few tickets to go see the Hawks/Vikes game Saturday, and since I've never actually been to an NFL game I'm wondering if there's a good time to show up to snag an autograph or two, if they even have time to hand them out. Suggestions?

not bad dude. not sure if i like "the heir" font, and he could blend in a lil better.
Just for clarification, not diggin' the font itself or "the heir", or is it the effects? I rarely use them but I thought they felt right for this one with the stadium lights. I was a bit torn between a few font styles. As for blending the render itself, what do you suggest? Blend it in with the BG stock or just fade him out around the edges?

just trying to go away from my norm.
That's the best way to do it. If an artist is comfortable it may be time to switch gears. I'm kind of at that point....time to find some new twists.
As for the sig, love it except for the number font, only because the number is tricky to make out at first.

Felt a little different from my usual style so I figured I'd post.

thanks Phins. ya i worked longer on the BG than the entire sig and i agree the falcons font was just slapped on and stands out too much. (i got tired of playin around with it tbh)
as for the render in my Brandon Carr sig:
1. i dup the render.
2. then i desaturate that layer and then go to filter/other and do a high pass and set the desaturated/high pass layer to to overlay or hard light and do a smart sharpen.
(sometimes to get a more painted look you can try setting the high pass layer on different settings like screen or whatever looks best to you.)
Good stuff, bro. Thanks for the tip.

Aaaaaand this is why I will stick with manual start-up as long as its around.

Choice will find a home pretty quick if he doesn't stay around.

Sounds like he's being a trooper about it, which doesn't come as much of a surprise. With so much younger talent at receiver there, it was bound to become a topic of discussion. As already mentioned, I think he'll still play great regardless of where he lines up....he's Donald Driver.
-
Overrated: Marshall, although I still acknowledge how much better he makes that receiving corps.
Underrated: Bess. I still don't hear enough about him in top slot receiver conversations, and I think he deserves to be right up there.
-
He's also in the same class as Rex Grossman when it comes to insane claims.
I'm out of the loop....do I want to know what Rex is saying?
-
Diggin the BG, and the idea is a good one, but it doesn't seem to come together for me. Maybe the render or the text standing out a bit much(although the style works for me)...maybe both. But yeah, cool idea.
On a side note, I'd be interested to find out how you got the render in your sig looking like that. I'm always a fan of the drawn/painted look.

Scottish
Irish
Spanish
German
No idea on the specifics. Scottish and Spanish enough to have Rob Roy and Picasso in my bloodline, but that's about all I know.

Texans
Eagles
Falcons
Hard to rank when all 3 are scary.

it's tough to talk about the Dolphins having a history of greatness at the QB position when they haven't even had a consistent starter since Marino, in the 11 years since Marino left the team has had 16 different QBs start a game, I know we're talking all time history here, but the recent history has to play in. To be fair, you could make a similar argument against San Fransisco, but if you throw YA Tittle on top of Montana and Young and the 49ers have a deep enough history at the QB position to forgive the failures of the last decade there
This sounds a little bit like a double standard, because even the Colts, Packers, and Cowboys had stretches where their QB was not what put their team on the map. Yes, Miami has struggled this decade to find a solid QB, but I hardly think that overshadows the fact that Marino and Griese were both career Dolphins, both appeared in Super Bowls, and both are in the HOF. The other consideration is the age of the franchise...Miami is younger than all the teams mentioned, ranked or honorable. In 45 seasons, 31 of them have seen Griese or Marino on the team...so pretty close to 70% of Miami's existence. I'm more than willing to accept they may not be top 3, mostly because of Marino's lack of a ring and the QB carousel since 2000. I'm simply saying they deserve to be in the discussion.

They had a discussion and said Thome isn't a Hall of Famer....
lolESPN. I think they need to quit saying shit just to stir the pot and just report things accurately and realistically. Thome reached 600 HR in the second fewest bats of all time, behind only The Babe. If that's not enough....Only 16 players in MLB history have compiled career OPS marks higher than Thome's .960, and among the ones eligible for enshrinement into Cooperstown, only Larry Walker and Mark McGwire have failed to get voted into the Hall. Walker just joined the ballot for the first time last year and will have plenty more chances. McGwire, of course, was dogged by steroid accusations until finally admitting having used them last year. Long story short: Thome will get in...
Well said. I heard a small bit of one of the discussions this morning. I don't know much about baseball, but even I was pretty dumbfounded they were even suggesting it wouldn't happen.

I don't even know who this guy is, which is not a good thing seeing as I live and breathe Redskins football.
He was a part of the Thunder and Lightning duo with Spiller at Clemson.
-
Will anybody remember Brown and Williams 5-7 years from now though? Miami definitely had probably the most talent at the position at any one time (other than maybe Marcus Allen & Bo Jackson) but throughout their history and the history of the NFL I wouldn't say Miami is recognized or associated with great RB richness.
Fair enough. If they each hadn't had some kind of problem to deal with, maybe they could have been amazing. My only other suggestion would be Griese/Marino as mentions at QB. Those 2 alone spanned most of 3 decades and ended up in the Hall. Marino's lack of a ring hurts him, though, when put up against the other names you have there.

this was a request for KeVo
i kinda like how it turned out.
My only complaint is that it's a little tough to tell that's a T at first(probably just my shitty eyesight), but that's where the critique ends. Came together nicely.

At least he's ambitious.
With a touch of blissful ignorance. It's only bad, I suppose, if he takes the goal too seriously.

Come on, James......

How about we get Hope and Alex... nude. In the same fountain.

Heard this on ESPN earlier and I thought it was just speculation. I don't see how this move benefits anyone....other than Daunte being paid for essentially being a distraction to Smith (if they are serious about him not competing for the starting role).

2. Danny Woodhead- He might not put up 100 yard rushing games, but he makes runs and catches when it counts and can take it to the house. I see Woodhead becoming a bigger star in this New England offense this season.
I've been in Danny's corner ever since he came out of Chadron St. Would be nice to see him have a solid career. Not many people work as hard as he does.

I honestly have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that if a player doesn't live up to hype after his rookie year that he is already a bust. Some of the greatest took longer than a year. We are in a much more impatient sports culture than before, it seems.
