  1. 1. God doesn't necessarily mean religion.

    2. God is supernatural so I do believe they go hand in hand.

I'm curious as to what you mean on the first quote. In relation to what you said before, God is everything to do with religion, unless I misinterpret what you were saying. If you say you believe in God, I assume you have a religion. And as for #2, are you referring to ghosts or spirits? There are several sects which don't believe in a limbo in which ghosts, apparitions, energy orbs, etc. can reside. Although they do believe in demons, evil spirits, angels, and whatnot. Kind of confuses me to be honest.

  2. Companies are allowed to advertise FREE gambling games. Most companies in turn offer two versions of their product, a free one and a paid one. They advertise their free one but the paid one has more advantages and whatnot. But as of 2006 Online Gambling has been illegal throughout the US. These companies usually operate in other countries so it's hard to crackdown on them. In fact, a couple years ago Antigua accused the US of unfair trade practices to the WTO because the US considered internet gambling illegal.

But the main purpose was to stop US customers from sending money to outside countries for gambling.

    Interesting. I learned something new.

  3. Not feeling it. Henne may not be the best starter for our team, but he is calm and does his job without complaining. He also takes accountability for his mistakes. Second, we just got rid of one scrambler in White. How will Vince be any different? On top of all that, he is too much diva for us to take on considering Marshall and his latest drama.

  4. I have never personally seen one so I'd like to say I don't believe in ghosts but at the same time I believe in God, so isn't that contradictory?

I'll say I believe in spirits.

Not really. I've met plenty of people who believe in God who find the idea of ghosts incompatible with their beliefs. A belief in the supernatural and religion do not have to go hand in hand.

  5. Basically what's already been said as far as the dup goes, though this sig wouldn't look bad if the render were moved and/or resized. Personally I've never been a fan of brightening up the lighter shades that much (levels, I think? It's been a while), but regardless, to each their own. The colors and blurs are awesome.

  6. The town I grew up in has a little bit of haunted history. It played a small role in the Revolution and in general it's just old. I remember a couple of strange things that happened at this local restaurant where I worked called the Garden Cafe. Rumor was that it had had an underground bootlegging distillery or something that blew up and killed some folks back in the day, but I don't know. Anyway, on one occasion I was upstairs with a couple of folks cleaning off a table and we noticed the bathroom door was closed, but we didn't remember anyone going in there. So we kept cleaning and waited, then we heard the water turn on. It just stayed on and no one came out, so we're all a little creeped out. We tried to open the door after a bit and it was locked. Finally got it open after a few more minutes and there was no one in there, and the water was still running.

There was another time where one of the hostesses, a real sweet old lady, was carrying some dishes through a doorway, and apparently one of the double doors hit her as she was walking through with no one else near it. I honestly can't personally vouch for it because I didn't see it, but it shook her up pretty bad. It made her cry, anyway.

Frankly I don't know one way or another. Both of my experiences could be passed off as a fluke here and some clumsiness there by even a casual skeptic. I've heard too many accounts and seen some pretty freaky stuff in documentaries to just dismiss it all as paranoia and good acting and effects. It's entirely possible.

  7. Kind of a split feeling on it for me. JF4L made a point that she did have time to grab a knife, meaning she could have gotten away and called the police. But Marshall is an asshole, and an abusive one at that. I can't say it surprises me that she responded the way she did. Frankly, I'm starting to regret the Marshall trade. For the talent he brings, he still isn't worth the drama. I would rather Miami be a respectable team with a mediocre record than a winning one with guys like him...and we aren't even winning with him anyway. He needs to get his act together.

  8. "Rings, based on so much luck, health and team, are a slow and sometimes incorrect way to determine which individual player plays best. Rings don't pick the greats. Instead, they alleviate the risk of calling someone great. You can't look dumb calling a champion a hero. But that doesn't mean the best might not yet be a champion."

Probably the most well-phrased defense against the ring argument I've ever read. But this is simply an observation of part of the argument. Frankly I have no place commenting on James vs. Jordan since I don't watch that much basketball. All I know is that it never gets old watching clips of Jordan making pros look like high school boys with blocks on their feet. James is an amazing talent in his own right. The comparison game in general gets tiring, for various reasons. It would be easier to just enjoy what each brings to the game. But as long as there are sports, there will be a GOAT debate going on somewhere.

  9. I hope a deal can be worked to keep him around and have him fill the mentor spot that will eventually be vacated by Williams. His injuries have never done his potential justice, but he still has it. If he doesn't stay, I wish him nothing but the best. He's one of the team's best role models.
