  1. This is not what they are saying on NFLN and what I am reading, Barracuda.

The owners are, most likely, as we speak putting in paper work with the 8th circuit court and/or Judge Nelson for a stay which would basically keep everything the same until an appeal is heard which could take months. But if neither grant the owners a stay the owners are forced to lift a lockout and put in temp. rules (basically temp. CBA) until a new CBA is worked out and agreed upon.

  2. I've been looking into Clayborn's "red flags" more and apparently it isn't as bad as I thought. Especially the character issues. I've seen some recent vids of interviews with him and he has never really had any issues during games with the arm/shoulder (Erbs Palsy) and apparently the only way it affects him is in the weight room where he does a bench with dumbbells instead of with the bar. Clayborn, the coaches and doctors (same with Bowers) are the only ones that know the entire truth and extent of it so we'll see.

As far as his Senior season drop off in production, it apparently had a lot to do with the scheme they were running at Iowa and what they were asking Clayborn to do along with getting doubled etc. a lot more.

I trust Dominik at this point so if he does take him at 20 maybe I wouldn't be as upset as I once thought....unless Jordan, Smith or Kerrigan are still on the board and we still take Clayborn...then I'd be pissed. Lol

    We'll see though.

  3. Jeremy Renner Will Be Your New 'Bourne' Star

Jeremy Renner was playing second-fiddle to Minnie Driver in critically reviled movies. (And starring in canceled television series.) Then he made a little movie called "The Hurt Locker." Since then, he has been nominated for two Oscars, been cast as a superhero and is anchoring two of the most valuable action franchises on earth. We'd say making "Locker" was a smart career move.

Last night, Deadline announced the news everyone had been waiting for: The role of the superspy character replacing Matt Damon's Jason Bourne in the "Bourne" franchise has been offered to Renner, who's expected to join on as soon as scheduling issues are resolved. Universal had been looking at several other actors -- including "Animal Kingdom"'s Joel Edgerton and Garrett Hedlund from "Tron: Legacy" -- but they landed on Renner for "The Bourne Legacy." "Legacy" is written and directed by Tony Gilroy (who wrote all three of the "Bourne" screenplays and also wrote and directed "Michael Clayton") and is expected to start filming this September, with a release date around August 2012.

Renner, who, again, was unknown only three years ago, is taking on projects like a starving man suddenly put in front of a buffet. (Even though he's new to the scene, he has been around a long time; he turns 40 this year.) He just finished filming "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" with Tom Cruise -- it is anticipated that he will take over that franchise, though he's actually only nine years younger than Cruise -- and he also will play "Hawkeye" in the upcoming "Avengers movie." (He's said to have a cameo as Hawkeye in this summer's "Thor" as well.)

Finding the right actor was key for Universal to keep the "Bourne" franchise alive. When director Paul Greengrass announced he was done with the "Bourne" films, star Matt Damon said he would leave the franchise too, claiming he would only work with Greengrass. (He has since left the door ajar for "five years from now.") Universal couldn't let such a profitable franchise die, though, so they gave Gilroy the director's chair and set about casting a new lead, someone who is not Jason Bourne, but is certainly cut from his proverbial cloth. That person was Renner. Hence the "Legacy" of the title: The hope is that someday Damon and Renner can team for a future Super Bourne Film. (The legacy aspect is still strange, though; Damon is just one year older than Renner.)

But yes: We have gone from never having heard of Jeremy Renner to having him take over all aspects of entertainment, in three years. Look out: Someone's gonna cast him as Batman next.

Save the Mac hate...you can kindly suck me. lol

    :p

  5. You never know which side to believe with this crap, but it still doesn't change anything for me about Mallett. I still get that immature punk vibe from him. I think he's (QB talent wise) the best QB in the draft and is most NFL ready, but I get that feeling he's gonna fuck all that talent away by being a dumbass.

I could be wrong and I really really do hope I am...I'd love to see this kid stay on the straight and narrow and have a HOF career.

    We'll see.

  6. Why is it every time someone mentions a band or artist you don't like, you fucking roll out this absolute bullshit about how vast YOUR musical knowledge is, as if anybody other than you gives a fuck. It hasn't got shit to do with knowledge. Music TASTE....key word there buddy....TASTE...is the most subjective thing in the world. Liking a band or style of music hasn't got jack fuck to do with "knowledge" of any kind whatsoever. If someone doesn't like a movie you like, do they lack your vast intellect of the theater? Are you some kind of art savant if you think an artist someone else likes is bad? I like the color blue. Do you? Or do I simply not understand the color prism like you do because you're a big "green" fan.

And again...love how you punctuate YOUR OPINION (another key phrase at work here, kiddo) by throwing in over the top phrases like "incredibly & undeniable." Really? I knew...I absolutely KNEW...the second I clicked reply, where this thread would go because you do it all the fucking time whenever there's a music topic and certainly when somebody doesn't agree with your tastes. Errr...ahmmm...excuse me....you're "music knowledge."

Yeah, shithead. We all remember how you raped the thread about The Rev dying by pissing all over it, dragging Jason Bonham and Led Zeppelin into it when nobody was even within a thousand miles of either subject in the thread. So, just curious....when Brian Haner's peers and contemporaries in the music business and in other bands, many of whom you list as great guitarists themselves, praise him and say how good he is....I guess those guys who's boots you lick, they also lack your "music knowledge" correct?

Says who? YOU? I wasn't aware that Zeus reached down from the heavens and anointed you the fucking Music Czar. How is what I said "irrelevant" when this thread is about personal tastes and YOU deciding what personal tastes are accepted or not. That's about a fucking relevant as it gets. You've made no argument and you have no god damn point other to tell people their tastes and opinions suck because you simply say they do.

Synyster Gates won the Dimebag Darrell "young shredder award" in 2006 "Golden God Awards" run by "Metal Hammer".

In 2006, Synyster Gates was named guitarist of the year by "Total Guitar Magazine".

In 2010, Guitar World Listed Synyster Gates as one of the 30 greatest shredders of all time. They described him as being able to perform finger-twisting licks, acrobatic sweeps, devilish chromatics and towering dual-harmonies.

On the Guitar Worlds 2010 Readers Poll, Synyster Gates was chosen Best Metal Guitarist.

Rock one Magazine's 2010 Readers Poll voted Synyster Gates the #3 best musician in the industry.

Go ahead, bitch. Laugh. Because nobody knows more or better than you. You speak and therefore, it is.

  7. I know a lot of Bucs fans who are apposed to Clayborn, not sure why, but it was b/w Clayborn and Bowers, and something is just telling me Clayborn might end up being the guy on draft day.

He has that one year wonder thing goin' with the big drop off in production his senior year. He has some off the field question mark issues along with looking lazy on tape. He has one arm longer than the other from his collar bone breaking as a baby and in that same arm/shoulder he has the whole Erbs Palsy thing which causes his arm to go weak at times. He can't even do a standard bench press with the bar...he has to use dumbbells...and because of the Erbs Palsy and one arm being shorter than the other he's restricted to playing only on the right side of the line.

Too many question marks for me...especially in the first-round. I'll be at Ray Jay at the annual draft party thing they do in the stadium and I'll be raging if I hear Clayborn's name when we pick and I guarantee I won't be alone lol.

I have the gut feeling that Dominik won't take him, but that's me...I could easily be wrong.

EDIT: Also...Every player we have drafted in the first-round we have brought in for a visit/workout. They have not brought in Clayborn for either and I am pretty sure today was the last day teams could bring in players for pre-draft visits/workouts. Just sayin'.

  8. Reports: Ryan Mallett skipped Panthers visit after late night out

Posted by Evan Silva on April 20, 2011, 12:51 PM EDT

Both Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer and Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune and NFP are reporting that Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett blew off his April 9 team-facility visit with the Carolina Panthers earlier this month.

    Biggs has the details.

Citing multiple sources, Biggs reports that Mallett met the Panthers on the evening of April 8 for dinner with club officials. The Razorbacks’ all-time passing leader was “seen out on the town late†following the meal, and reportedly called in sick the next day.

Biggs’ report acknowledges the mass amounts of pre-draft misinformation spread this time of year. But Biggs insists “there is no mistaking that Mallett called the Panthers (on April 9) and told them he was ill after a late night in Charlotte.â€

Mallett, as you already know, has been the subject of character scrutiny due to a 2009 arrest for public intoxication, as well as countless pre-draft rumors that take his alleged consumption problems much further.

During February team interviews at the Combine, Mallett reportedly told NFL executives and coaching staffs that he did drugs at Arkansas.

While these issues say little about Mallett’s football future, they certainly threaten to torpedo his draft stock.

  9. Am I the only one that noticed Kila admit that he wears socks with sandals?

That actually is very common...especially here in Florida and it's usually with sandals like this:

    ME43104_Black-250.jpg

With long black socks...probably Nike or Jordan socks.

I'm sure you thinking of some dude wearing...

...which usually is what fat and/or dorky dudes do...lol

Nike Free Runs, Under Armour Prophet II (My workout/exercise shoes but they are so damn comfortable I wear them all the time), Nike Sweet Classic Low, Nike Air Max Command, Nike Shox and a pair of Sanuk's (comfortable as hell) and of course random sandals which is pretty much a must for Florida.
