You should now this being a footbal fan and a Seahawks fan. Every week there is an upset of some sort. The Seahawks at home is a tough win 9 times out of 10. Not saying the Hawks don't show up at home from time to time be their house is a hard place to win games in usually. That being said I will probably pick the Pats in this one

I agree with everything Thanatos said. Now that I got that out of the way some things to clarify and consider. The ruling that unsuspended players was that Goddell didn't have the rights to punish in a salary cap violation situation. The players claim is he has no ruling in it which is how they got it overturned. The appeals verdict was he had no right to rule in a salary cap violation which is in the CBA and what the players claim it was with pay for performance and not pay to injure. Basically the appeals committee was covering Goddells ass by reversing the original suspensions and telling ol Roger to clarify what he was suspending them for. Which he did this time with his father to son scolding notes. SO in essence yes Roger did dish out these punishments as well just with more clarification as to why. Some things to consider is that he did drop some for Fujita and Hargrove and not for the current members of the Saints. Also tho in Hargroves case since he hasn't played all year the 5 games he has missed count towards his suspension meaning if someone signed him today he would only miss 2 games. Another thing is he is letting Vilma keep his money from the his pup list time but says he is suspended for the 2012 season meaning technically Vilma's suspension dropped from 16 games to 11 games. Last thing to consider, Saints weren't near the cap limit most of the time this was going on. So if extra payouts for pay for performance were going and if they didn't equal to enough to put them over the cap the how could it be circumventing the salary cap. Always wondered that, how can it be salary cap violetion if you don't go over the actual salary cap. As usual it is going to go back to a he said she said debate about semantics and what words mean or how words are taken by both sides. Unfortunately this is still far from over.

Kinda hard to say we know this team is dangerous when they haven't really proved it this season. Not saying I don't appreciate the "love" for my team and all but to raise them up (+2) from the previous week when they still have the worst defense in the league and it doesn't look like it is going to get any better may be stretching it some.

I agree, the problem is the run game hasn't worked when we tried it. We didn't even run Sproles in the first 2 games for some reason. We all thought (Saints Fans) that since Carmicheal called all the plays after Payton was injured last year that we would be fine on offense but it seems like we are back to throwing 3 - 1. Plus we are easy to predict. Pierre Thomas and Sproles are the only ones you are not sure of what the play is pass or run. Ingram is in up the gut everytime. Ivory is in run, doesn't matter where they are just going to run. Cadet, don't know cause he hasn't played enough yet. We are not a balanced team and our defense sucks. I think we can pull out some victories this year but not many. Sorry I derailed the thread.

Attempts or not, when you run the ball well the defense has to respect it. This year we can't run the ball to save our lives. We miss Carl Nicks more than we are letting ourselves believe.

Last year we were 6th in rushing. Doesn't seem too one dimensional to me. This year we have been playing behind from the get go pretty much and have to throw just to stay in the game.

I wonder if it is the same way with the Citadel Paladin you get. I have always just played the game alone or with modded companions. As for me, I am at lvl 49 in SWTOR, trying to get to 50 so I can do some pvp stuff with friends I have met and get more money to buy the extra stuff for my future comps, but have a guy who is lvl 20 who keeps asking me to help him and I am starting to get pretty pissed. I completely agree espcially with what he said about the Exile who I know at one point actually had a name in this game and they have changed it to Jedi Entity.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Brees break the record espcially against the team that gave up on him. But what Trident says (as well as a bunch of others) is true and I will throw one more thing out there, back in Johnny U's time the DB's were allowed to basically mug the WR's on their routes.

I think Matt Ryan is overrated by the media. Most fans of football realize he is a good QB but lots of people in the media want to call him elite. I think even the most diehard Falcons fan will admit he is good and not elite. Tho some Falcons fans will argue with us Saints fans that he is I do believe it is mostly beause of the rivalry between us. I personally think he is a good QB but has been restrained from trying to do too much since he got in the league. Once they let him loose I think he will only get better. As for Sam Bradford I don't think he is even rated. Too many injuries to him and around him to really evaluate how he has done.

Its why we miss Sean Payton. Payton would have kicked it deep and gone for the defensive stop. Kromer is still learning how to HC basically but I would have thought Spags might have stepped up and said something as well to kick it deep. Thanatos - Its not so much as a matter of knowing your running the ball but with the Panthers who is running the ball. Cam? DWill? JStew? Tolbert? any 3 of those could have been in the backfield at the same time and any of the 3 could have carried it. Saints wouldn't know who to tackle to try for a 3 and out.

I'm glad you said across several forums cause I think I am the only one one this one. But you are right, alot of Saints fan thought we wouldn't miss a beat without Payton ( I am pretty sure I was one of them) but they are proving that is not the case. Maybe it will be different when Vitt comes back but I am beginning to doubt it. Offense looks blah. Defense shows signs at times and other times looks lost. Pete Carmichael and Aaron Kromer are both coaching themselves out of any head coaching jobs that might open up right now. Still have a chance to turn it around but right now it looks like a long season.
