Historically speaking, which position for which teams, is associated with greatness
oochymp replied to FSUViking's topic in General NFL Talk
I think I'd put the Skins ahead of the Titans on Oline if only for the Hogs, and before you point out that it's only one era, I'll point out that the two players you list for the Titans' oline greatness were both in the same era (Bruce lasted a lot longer, but they were came into the league one year apart) -
yeah, it's easy to read too much into a preseason game, but I like where it looks like we're headed, and the issues with the snaps I think may just be symptomatic of new QBs with a shortened offseason, in which case it will be worked out by the start of the season, I'm not very concerned about that

I am back and have taken my spot, thanks again for holding it for me. I'm going to be moving to Williamsburg at some point this weekend, but I should be able to at least set up for the draft even if I can't actually make it.
-
F4E, I just pm'ed you my email, thanks again for taking this over and thanks for holding a spot for me, I'll be back in civilization in about a week (hard to believe the summer is almost over) and while law school will almost certainly drop my time on the board from my insane levels of the past few years, my fantasy team will be just as active as always :beerchug2: As for a draft time, I don't know what my schedule will look like, but weekends will probably be preferable, that said, because I'm not sure of my schedule, if you schedule a time that works for everyone but me, I'll suck it up and deal with it

the Metrodome was built in the early 80s, before that the Vikings played outside one question I have about the retractable roof is what are the chances they actually leave it open in true winter conditions? I bet the roof will be closed for every game after September

NFL Players and coaches allegedly "keeping in touch".
oochymp replied to Shotgun's topic in General NFL Talk
does this actually surprise anyone? -
we already list favorite team in the profile information to the left of posts, so I'm not sure what exactly this would add
-
Young for McNabb, do it

alright, hockey season is over, time to go back to a Titans sig, as always I'm gonna give a lot of freedom to whoever designs it, I'd just like something that looks good featuring Jake Locker, I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with
-
BK, is it just me or am I always wearing your sigs? nice work as always, Titanswin, yours is pretty sweet too, I'm just feelin this one a little more, hard to say exactly what it is, and DMac, as I said, yours is sweet, just not really what I'm looking for, thanks to all three of you for putting the time into this request
-
That's pretty sweet looking, but I was looking for a little bit more of a Titans theme, though I realize you were just working off the colors of the render. I'm not sure if you could do it in any way that wouldn't look clunky (for lack of a better term) but if you could put a Titans logo faded into the background somewhere I'd definitely rock it, again, I don't know if it can be done without disrupting the flow of the sig, but if you're willing to give it a go I'd be very appreciative. Sorry to be picky after saying I'd give a lot of freedom to the designer

I think players just need to be reminded that use of twitter and other social media puts their thoughts in a public forum so they should treat it as they would any public appearance, basically don't put anything on twitter you wouldn't say on ESPN, I think if players could get into that sort of mindset you wouldn't see nearly as many questionable tweets, but as Kila said, it ultimately comes down to the players taking responsibility. Also, well done Champion for hitting Mendenhall where it hurts, losing sponsorships is a pretty big deal.

got anything yet? thanks for whenever you get around to it, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with, especially after seeing the wallpaper you made of him
-
yeah, I really don't see what good could come from releasing the photos, no matter what you say people are going to come up with conspiracy theories (there are still people who think we didn't land on the moon for God's sake) so all you're going to do is inflame people who already hate us, especially when random people on the internet get hold of it and messing with pictures of a dead bin Laden becomes the next big internet meme
-
ask me tomorrow and he might be in my top ten seriously, tho, numbers 3-15ish are very close IMO
-
I'm not willing to call any rookie top three in his position, my top ten: Troy Polamalu Ed Reed Nick Collins Antoine Bethea Adrian Wilson OJ Atogwe Eric Berry Earl Thomas Brian Dawkins Louis Delmas but, honestly, I don't think I'd really rip any order after the top two, it's also interesting after saying that to see that all eight bloggers had the same #1 and #2
-
I've always liked Gage, I will concede that the description of "mediocrity personified" is very accurate, he was at least consistent
-
well done Tampa I've gotta say, I think it's time for a coaching change, there's no excuse for getting swept by a team you had a 4-1-1 record against in the regular season and I think I'm starting to learn how Colts fans feel
-
damn, well done so far Tampa, I don't want to say the series is over, but it's gonna be a tough climb for us to get out of this, I'm interested to see if Neuvy is still in net tomorrow, I'm kinda surprised Bruce hasn't pulled him yet given his history with goalies
-
I'm surprised to see Griffin so high (and nobody mention it yet) he's a very good safety, but I'm not sure I'd call him #6 in the league
-
man, it's weird pulling up the forums and not seeing the staff forums in all seriousness, congrats Ranga and Bay, you'll both do a great job in your new posts

Why The Steelers Are Superior
oochymp replied to SteelerNationIsTheStandard's topic in General NFL Talk
alright, raise your hand if you give a shit -
so if someone runs over a bunch of ducks in his hummer you would have him run over with a hummer?
-
see, but they actually had trials, as much of a sham as they may have been, there were trials before the executions you've still gotta have a trial to show the undoubted proof how would you punish something like animal cruelty (where this thread started) under that sort of system?

two more QBs and Mallett is still on the board
