  1. Lol. That's a nice way to defuse the situation, Reggie. He's just not a every-down RB. Every NFC South follower could have told the Fins that.

QB Switch (Brady/Rodgers): Who plays better?

    Brady, I think. For now.
  3. Legedu Nanee. His drops may have single-handedly cost us two separate games- once he not only dropped the pass, he batted it right up into a defender's hands, who took it back for a pick-6.

I thought the point of this was to try to look at who was clutch *without* knowing who was who.

Update: Peyton Hillis to miss game vs Rams

You guys are all wrong. This is clearly the Madden curse at work. [/end superstition] Hardesty seems to fill in capably enough for Peyton.

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

Let's grant your argument for the sake of argument. If the O-line was bad in '09 and '10, and yet CJ ran very well, why is he not running well in 2011?

    Clutch

Man, Idk. B and G are good. D stuck out at me at first, except he only has the 3 TD's.

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

Oooh. Internet tough guy. Obviously if you can beat the shit out of someone, that makes what they say completely null and void. I have no doubt that you can take me in a fight, considering that I'm unable to really do much of anything physical since I have a bulging disc in my lower back.

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

If the Vikes O-line isn't good, yet AP still rushes for a ton more yards than CJ... I fail to see what your point is, unless you're saying AP is an elite RB and CJ is not, in which case I agree with you. This is just bullshit. The Titans had one of the best lines in the league in 2009, and yes I did watch several of their games in '09. As far as me not watching the Titans games in 2011, let me put that to rest: I have seen at least 3/4 of 4 of their 6 games, more than enough to form an educated opinion.

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

You cannot make the argument that the Titans line is bad because they lack YPG and then turn around and say the Vikings line is good because they have a lot of YPG- that is what Mikey was arguing. I believe that you are biased because you are a fan of the Titans, and so far not a single non-Titan fan has come forward to say that CJ's performance is based solely off the play of the O-line. I'm not arguing that CJ doesn't have explosiveness. I'm arguing that he is a niche back that can only run when he has good run-blocking, something that Matt Forte, Adrian Peterson, and Steven Jackson have all shown they can do. Basically the argument is this: Good run-blocking= great rushing numbers from Forte, AP, S-Jack, and CJ2K. Bad run-blocking= still good rushing numbers from Forte, AP and S-Jack, but bad rushing numbers from CJ. He can't run well without great run-blocking. Something a truly elite running-back can get around. Maybe not as good as if they had great run-blocking, but they can still pose a threat to teams, and still put up yards by breaking tackles. CJ can't do that, and that's why CJ is not a top-5, or even top-10 RB in the NFL.

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

It cannot possibly be a coincidence that the only people saying CJ is not at fault here, are all Titans fans. They just paid the guy a truckload of money, and now he's whining that he can't do anything with this shitty line. If you want to be paid like a playmaker, then play like a playmaker. CJ wasn't content with being one of the highest-paid RBs, but he had to be one of the highest paid players ever, (pretty sure this was mentioned before). You invite yourself to be criticized if you don't perform at a high level after that type of pay-day. It looks to me like he got his money and now he's done. They were 17th in YPG in 2010, not bottom 5. They were #2 in the league in 2009. Based on what facts do you say they were actually bottom 5 in 2010 and average in '09? You cannot say that in 09 and '10 it was all on CJ and that's why the Titans ran well in those two years despite their O-line, and then turn around and say it's all on the O-line in 2011. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. If CJ gets the credit for 09-10, he also takes the blame for '11.

AFC West Buy Or Sell 2011

Sell unless Carson pulls a miracle. Matt Cassel's QB rating finishes above 90.

    Patriots will be evaluating T.O.

That's a little harsh. To be honest, I would not be averse to Carolina picking him up. He mentioned us in the interview. That said, I have no idea if he truly is in shape, but if he's not asking that much, what have we got to lose?

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

For the record, I agree with Cuda. There is a difference between being a grammar nazi and calling someone on every little error, and simply wanting people to make posts that don't use "internet slang" every third word. Can I read it? Yes. Does it make me want to claw my eyes out doing so? Hell yes. ESPN? ESPN? The same idiots that ranked the Chargers as the #9 team in the country after losing to the Jets? The same idiots that think their new way of ranking QBs is the best and they're going to shove it down our throats, even it means that Tebow is ranked higher than Rodgers? I trust ESPN's opinion less than my six-year old cousin's. Your logic is no good. You say, "We are 32nd in the league in rushing, therefore our O-line must be horrible, and it's not CJ's fault." In response, "You are 32nd in the league in rushing, and while not better than AP's and Forte's, (and that's a stretch in and of itself, but I'll let it slide), your O-line is comparable to theirs, who both have SIX TIMES as many yards as CJ does. Therefore it is not *possible* by any feasible stretch of logic, that your O-line is the *only* thing at fault here. It is obvious to anyone who watches football without rose-colored glasses on that CJ is not playing nearly as well as he used to. He is not making cuts, stiff-arms, breaking tackles, or putting on the speed he used the last two years. WHY this is the case, I don't know. But it is an undeniable *fact* that it IS the case."

    Cam in Elite Company

That was one heck of a performance on Sunday. I don't know if anyone else got to watch the whole thing, but Newton was simply ridiculous. This run still has me shaking my head: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d82361156/Newton-25-yard-run His stats were also exactly what I've been waiting to see, nearly 80% in accuracy, (and if you take away dropped passes and intentional incompletions, I believe he would be 20/21), no picks, great plays with his feet, and some absolutely incredible throws- which lead to him having the rather ridiculous stat of 11 yards per attempt. Take a look at this one: http://www.nfl.com/videos/carolina-panthers/09000d5d8236898f/QB-Newton-to-WR-Smith-36-yd-pass He keeps this up, Carolina is going to be one dangerous team down the stretch, even if we've already dug ourselves too deep of a hole to climb out of, which I think is probably the case.

Jared Allen On Record Shattering Sack Pace

While Rodgers may not give him nearly as many sacks as Favre, that's kinda countered by the fact that he plays the Bears and their horrid O-line twice this year, and Cutler will give him 2 or 3 a game.

UPDATE: Brandon Flowers Pro Bowl Campaign

Revis is better, I think, but not by much. It's always hard to judge CBs, since the best CBs are generally not thrown at nearly as much as the worse ones- thus tackles, passes defensed, and INTs is not really a good way to judge. It probably should be a ratio of how many times they are thrown at, compared to how many completions, INTs, Passes defensed, etc., not just the raw numbers.

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

What? That logic was so circular my head is spinning. CJ isn't doing as good as AP and Forte because our O-line is worse than theirs. How do I know our O-line is worse than theirs? Because CJ isn't doing as good as AP and Forte. You really going to tell me the Vikes have the 3rd best O-line in the league because they are 3rd in YPG and the Titans have the worst because they are last in YPG? You can't truly tell me that it's all on the Titans O-line man, come on! I mean, Jonathan Stewart has more YPG than Chris Johnson. That's just sad, man.

CJ says he's not to blame for poor rushing attack

Both Adrian Peterson and Matt Forte run behind O-lines that are just as worse, or even more awful than Tennessee's, yet they are #1 and #2, I think, overall, with MJD coming in at a close third- and none of those three RBs have a good QB who can take pressure off the run-game. It IS on CJ. He is a fast back, but he needs to be able to shake off tackles. Lightning may strike twice, but it ain't happening a 3rd time unless CJ gets his act together.

Sean Lee's study habits are paying off

I wish my IDP league would take the amount of tackles credited to Sean Lee by the 'Boys over the official amount.

Flaaco just isnt that good of a QB

Really? You think most people think Flacco is the better QB? I would completely disagree, it seems to be the other way around in my experience. And I'd agree- I think Matty Ice is significantly better than Flacco.

Why did your team win/lose this week?

The Chiefs won because Kyle Boller and then Carson Palmer was playing QB. Those picks were nearly all just horrible throws.
