Resources as an adult means little if you're already fucked up by then. I had a pretty shitty life too but hankfully I had a mom that showed me how I should be as a person. There are sixteen personality types in this world and each one of them react to their lives in different ways. You can't say just because a couple people ended up fine that everyone should. And how do you know people who've responded well to a similar environment when we don't know the full extent to what he was exposed to?

Isn't most of this confidential information? And exactly what does any of it have to do with him being President? Where's Romney's medical and school records and why is this site not concerned about those?

No one is going to argue that you shouldn't hit your own mother in almost any case, but just because everyone has a cross to bear doesn't mean it's remotely the same or impacting on who someone ends up being. It's difficult to adapt, grow, and respond to an environment of poverty, crack headed parents, and overall immorality from people you're supposed to be learning from. Don't pretend like with parents such as this that he should be a level-headed person. Anyone I've ever met who had a shitty life always had one person, be it a mother, sibling, grandparent, or even just a really special coach that made the difference between becoming a scum of the earth, and being a decent human being. Who knows if he ever had someone like that growing up. You can hate the jerk he's become, but there's nothing wrong with feeling pity for the guy. He once was a kid with a crack head for a mom and a pimp for a dad. He shouldn't have hit his mom, but personally I feel little sympathy for the woman considering she sounds like a pretty shitty person herself. She holds 1/2 of the responsibility for the person he's become.

I use a razor and shave every day for work related reasons. When I have days off I just leave my face alone. Always keep it trimmed downstairs.

Looks like Gary Johnson is the most recurring name in everyone top-3. Gary Johnson 79% on foreign policy, domestic policy, immigration, economic, and healthcare issues. Jill Stein 77% on foreign policy, science, environmental, immigration, and social issues. Barack Obama 67% on science and social issues. Ron Paul 55% on foreign policy, domestic policy, economic, and healthcare issues. Stewart Alexander 36% on foreign policy and social issues. Mitt Romney 36% on domestic policy issues.

Not defending the guys actions, but remember his mom is a crack head/seller. Growing up poor I knew a number of violent kids and teenagers that hit parents, so I have experience knowing that people don't hit their own mothers unless that mother did an exceptionally shitty job of raising them. Again, doesn't change what he did, but he deserves at least a sliver of pity. Growing up in the same environment you never know if you yourselves would have ended up with similar issues. None the less, a crappy person is still a crappy person, and he'll get what he's earned in life eventually.

I read it was his fiance, not his mom. Not that it really makes a difference.

Tanard Jackson got suspended for a year for marijuana use. I think it should make any GM/Owner hesitant so long as the NFL will test and suspend people for it. It also depends on how often they might do it. If it's a lot, it could point to some personality flaws. If it's recreational or just occasional, probably not a big deal and shouldn't keep anyone from a great talent.

I don't think many people are all that obvious outside of Landry. HGH isn't as strong as steroids so it's not as blatant, but I suspect a small percentage of LB/RB/D-linemen use it to build muscle because of their need for size. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of users just take it to get over injury quicker. As an athlete the saying "time is money" is pretty literal, they don't have time to sit around waiting to heal up.

Update - Cliff Avril unlikely to report for Lions' training camp
Shotgun replied to BLUE's topic in NFC
What an idiot. $10mil a year is very good compensation for his skill and position. Him (or his agent) probably turned it down because it's below the franchise tag for this year, but it's $20mil guaranteed. He could play under the franchise tag, injure an Achilles in a weight room, and be out of the money. On top of that his contract would run out at 29 which is a great age to get out of a 2nd contract to grab a 3rd. Now not only does he have to play 16 games healthy, but he has to hope he plays just as well, or better next year, and he's likely to just get franchised tagged next year if he does. Of course this means he'll have to go through contract talks again, probably not get offered any more than he is now, and he'll get out of the contract at 30 or older. -

I use FF most of the time because I usually have a lot of tabs up. Chrome uses less memory with just a couple tabs but it quickly starts using a lot more if you bring up 5+.

I think this will help prevent a few blackouts but we'll still see some. The football experience at home has gotten better and better every year, and fan support isn't the same in areas where you can spend a weekend day doing any number of fun things.

I don't understand what this real G talk is. Does this mean I'm the weakest fool?

I'm sure him being a part of that team has generated more revenue for the owners than they are paying him. If they let him go excitement over the team subsides and a lot of sales go with him.
-
Yeah, that's how you change the world for the better. Take hours of your time telling girls with no self esteem that they're fat and ugly. Totally sure they never heard that before.

Outside of the top 3 nearly every part of this list sucks.

What are your predictions for the 2012 Oakland Raiders team?
Shotgun replied to ramsftw3's topic in General NFL Talk
I think they had too many personnel issues this off-season. While they didn't exactly lose some stars, I don't feel the players they added were equal or better talent. I don't care for the hiring of a couple coaches either. They didn't do a bad job this off-season, but due to past regime mistakes they had to do what they had to do, and I think it ultimately made this coming seasons team worse than last years. I think they win 6 games at the most, and that's with their best players staying healthy. -

Smith regrets calling out Newton, but now his argument makes no sense.
Shotgun replied to Thanatos's topic in General NFL Talk
Typically QB's who throw for more yards have a higher YPA anyway so his argument wouldn't make since either way. As Donovan said, TD:INT ratio has been known as the better indicator for win:loss. -
I'd totally put that up on my family room wall. Great shot.

I play SC2 every now and then. If anyone wants to add my character name is Kazimir w/ code 335.

Before getting defensive you might want to read more articles on him. He isn't just not as good as those 3 guys, he's been reported as looking like the worst WR in camp, including other rookies, probably because unlike them he showed up out of shape. According to Matt Barrows he's been struggling to even stay on his feet during non-contact. That doesn't mean he's a bust, but it's also not common for a rookie to get a bunch of bad reports and actually still manage to have a good season. This should be expected though, they reached on a guy many thought wasn't even a top-5 talent at his position before the draft just because he had a good combine. I never thought the guy was anything more than a slot receiver, and that's probably where he'll end up on the field.

Guy takes poison pill and dies after being read guilty verdict
Shotgun replied to Piggly Wiggly's topic in The Sideline
He must have thought he would just collect on the life insurance instead. -
I don't think it's overlooked. There's been fines and suspensions handed out for various things, but it does seem like some guys get in trouble for off-field issues, or get media attention painting them as a bad kid, while others don't for the same thing.
