I don't think this issue extends to just religious people, that "Kony 2012" crap is a perfect example. Most of it is just people wanting to feel self-righteous about their own moral standing so they feel a need to share anything that could display that. They aren't packing their bags to head to Africa to save the lives of children, most likely they aren't going to go standing on a sidewalk outside of an abortion clinic protesting, most likely they aren't going to do fuck all but post a picture and hit the "like" button. The worst part is a lot of the shit I've seen people post isn't even factually correct and could be debunked if they cared enough to take the liberty to LEARN something. That's what the world has turned into with all this social media garbage. It's a cluster fuck of jackoffs acting like they give a shit when they don't actually do fuck all. They just want to stand up on mount pious and look down on those they deem to have inferior morals.

I figured we'd lose but it was closer than I thought it would be. I would say the O-line had a poor day but they've been overachieving for weeks now with all the injuries they've had to deal with. Pass protection wasn't horrible but the run blocking was. Even though Leonard gave up an 80-yard TD the secondary did a little better than I thought they would against Julio/Roddy/Gonz. The team has 5 weeks now with the Broncos, Eagles, Saints, Rams, and Falcons. I see them ending the season with a 9-7 record. Not a great ending to a season but considering the past few years it's not that bad seeing as how competitive we've been in every one of the games this season, regardless of the difficulty of the opponent.

I'll be shocked if we win this considering our secondary situation and lack of pressure on QB's. Bucs don't really play as well at home either.

I kind of agree with it keeping immigrants from learning English. I knew people with parents that never bothered learning English because they didn't honestly have to. In states with high Hispanic populations, you can do almost anything without needing to speak a word of English, and in the rare case that they couldn't, they took their kid along to translate. That said, I don't really care about it. I've never had something I would consider a real issue having to do with someone not speaking English. If I have to take an extra few seconds to hit the English button, who really cares. I waste more time on this forum in a week than I probably would in a lifetime having to press that button. The only time non-English people bother me is when you get those rare assholes that get upset at you for not knowing how to speak Spanish. I was shocked the first time I had to encounter one of those.

It's an inconsistency with how much the anti-abortionist values life. It's either a person with equal rights or it's not. It's either murder or it's not. Making an exception means conceding that it in fact should not have the same rights to life. It also means the pain the victim would live with for 9 months (presumably until it is given up for adoption) is worth more than another humans entire life. I don't believe in this situation "not being so black and white". It's either murder of an innocent human being or it's not. There's no middle ground with this. How the pregnancy came to be should be irrelevant considering the "human" is not responsible for what happened.

So you're putting the life of the mother ahead of the possible child in terms of rape and incest but not otherwise? Having a child is life altering in either case. Yes, in one it's emotionally damaging, but what does that have to do with the human child? Anti-abortionists say abortion is murder of an innocent. Being the product of a rape does not make the baby any less innocent. Therefore a position is being taken that it's okay to murder an innocent human being so long as it reduces the emotional damage of a rape victim. How is that not being inconsistent with a belief?

The topic of abortion leaves me conflicted, one part of me feels sorry for the would-be-humans and leaves me thankful I'm not them, another part of me likes the fact it reduces crime rates, keeps adoption agencies a little less burdened, and prevents there being yet another person from having what will most likely be a pretty shitty life. I am curious about one thing though. Why do so many anti-abortion people concede that in cases of rape or incest it's okay to have an abortion? Is it not still a human being? Is it the babies fault that it was created through rape or incest? It's a burden on the mother and family of the victim, but either way the reasons are the same: They don't want to keep a baby they don't want. The only difference is people feel sorry for the victims and contempt for the rest. The anti-abortion belief is nevertheless inconsistent.

That entirely depends on what degree you are getting and which field you'll be employed at. There are plenty of worthless degrees, but there's also plenty of jobs you can't get without having a certain degree, and there's a reason why you need that much education.

Me and the wife voted for Gary Johnson. Neither of us consider ourselves Libertarians, and we disagree with some things, but we felt supporting another party with mostly good ideas is the only way this country will be rid of this corrupt two party system. It wouldn't feel right to vote for one of two guys that really didn't even address most of the countries biggest problems, and outright lied repeatedly to a national audience.

#20 would irritate the shut out of me in school.

I wouldn't really call it an awful decision. Doug is starting to carry a heavy work load and the coaching staff needs to share carries among others, or else the risk of Doug getting injured or wearing out his body really fast goes through the roof. I think it was a good decision, the offense just had poor execution. A lot of people are hating on Blount right now but if you take your eyes off of him and watch the rest of the offense, the players really don't look like they're trying as hard when Blount is on the field. On most of his runs there's either not really a hole to run into or someone misses a block from poor effort. On the fumble play, Freeman did a poor job of handing it off. Blount was obviously watching the defense, as RB's often do during the hand off. It's up to Freeman to put the ball on Blounts chest right where he always wraps the ball up, instead he nearly put it on Blount's left armpit.

Surprised to see them get a 4th round pick. Glad to see we finally got him off the team. He's been way too much trouble than he's worth. Not only does he keep getting suspended but he's inconsistent and gets injured when he does play. I don't mind the team going a step down in talent at the position if it means we can move on and finally find someone with some consistency.
