No one knows when the referee lockout will end, it could technically be anytime. Hence why they would hire guys that were fired by other football entities. LFL refs could have contract obligations, I'm not really sure on that, or maybe they don't and just don't want to be out of a job after the lockout ends.

Right, because we totally know the NFL's process in hiring these replacement refs. Clearly they took great care in interviewing and reviewing all of their previous work and NFL knowledge, and it's shown on the field. /sarcsm The point of it was they got fired for being shitty refs in a joke of a football league, not weather or not their own refs would go to the NFL. If they are lying for PR I don't see what the motivation would be, it's not as if people watch the LFL for their officiating integrity.

People are focused on the replacement refs, but using that excuse for why it "seems" like they are worse is idiotic. There is a very clear and obvious difference between the refs. Last year Buc fans complained constantly about refs, but I've witnesses more no-calls in 3 Buc games, on both sides, than I did all of last season. Most of which I would say have been in the favor of the Bucs. It was probably loud seeing as it was a game in Baltimore and they just won with a game winning FG, which would explain the shouting. He looks like he's mad, but go look up other games where the Pats have lost and you'll see the same exact facial expression. Considering that, it just looks like he's trying to get his attention to me. The arm grab is probably a natural response to get someone who's running to slow down or stop, as it is for many people. I don't think it's something to fine him over. It seems to me the spirit of the rule involving not touching the refs is more to protect them from being pushed or harassed in other ways. Giving him a fine for merely touching the guys arm seems a little ridiculous to me.

I don't know why people are saying this. The regular refs of course messed up, they make mistakes on PI probably twice a game on average, but that pales in comparison to it happening almost every single passing play now. The replacement refs just don't call things, and players have been taking full advantage of it. Talib on the Bucs for instance has caused PI at least every other time he's thrown at. I never seen him play that way with the older refs without him getting called on it.

We have the worst luck with linemen. Clayborn is kind of slow getting off the ball to begin with, this is an injury that could ruin his career.

I can't believe there's so much QQ over Eli getting pushed over. No one even hit him. I've noticed most of the whiners in the media are either guys who've never played in the NFL, or former coaches, while the guys who've supported Schiano's decision are actual former players like Faulk, Deion, and Irvin. Now this douche "analyst" is coming out with Rutgers BS about Schiano being a big ol' meanie, that I doubt any Buc fan (or most NFL fans in general) even give two shits about. They chose to play a physical sport. Schiano got physical. Man the fuck up.

I seen the quote. He still finishes off by saying "but it wasn’t so much what they did as what we didn’t do.” At best It's a backhanded compliment. All he did was mention the obvious, which is that the Giants had good players. Nowhere does he give the Giants any kind of respect for how they played in the game. It's not a serious issue, I've heard other players say the same thing, I just find it a bit immature and kind of disrespectful toward the winning team.

Not anybody. First, it was a redundant comment. When one team makes a play it's always because the other one didn't do what they needed to in order to stop it. Saying "It was nothing they did; it was all on us" is his way of discounting the Giants performance when they went out and played better than them. It's both an immature and an unprofessional way of going about the loss. Every game comes down to preparation and execution. When players come out and say something like "We didn't lose because of them, we lost because of us" it just makes them sound like a whiner. Truly professional players say "They came prepared and executed a lot better than we did." Essentially they mean almost the same thing. The difference being the former takes blame without giving credit, while the later takes blame WHILE giving credit to the other team.

Schiano doesn't seem like the type to bitch about it in the first places. Only whiny ass coaches do that.

If the current kicker is awful, and I know the one in the draft has a good chance of being elite for that many years, I'd take them as early as the 4th so long as there's no player I REALLY liked.

He's right in the most literal, out of touch with reality way. I especially dislike when he tells business men and women who've most likely laid people off, that people aren't entitled to food. Do they expect a jobless man living in an urban area to go out and hunt for his food? Where's the deer? Or do they just want him to eat the rats living in their factories? Does Mitt even know whats it's like to turn in application after application with no call backs while he goes to bed hungry? Am I supposed to care for a man who doesn't care about anything outside his own little rich business world?

I think Zack said it best. I don't know about you guys but I can see Eli fumbling a ball after an unexpected rush like that. And this is probably the first time I've seen all players on defense do this, but I've seen plenty of times where a few players try to rush the center to try to get the ball back. This isn't something new and it really isn't something to be crying over.
