    Bucs going back to Gruden?

I don't think you can justify firing Koetter without firing Licht. I just don't think a GM should be allowed to survive the firing of two different HCs. Especially since there are reports that he was pretty slimey about throwing Lovie under the bus to ownership to get Koetter promoted. If Gruden indeed is coming back, there's no way he's coming in without who he wants in the FO. What really concerns me is he'll likely push for as much power as he can get and I'm not sure that is the way to go. I'd prefer someone to come in as president of operations or something to oversee the personnel side of things and hire coaches and build a philosophy from there. But if Koetter is indeed fired, there is no doubt in my mind the Glazers will be crawling back to Gruden and he may just decide to do it.

The Loki being a henchmen for Thanos thing was a surprise twist though. Everyone (well everyone who likes DC Comics) knew going into Justice League that Steppenwolf was a Darkseid lacky to set up a bigger movie with him (that may not ever happen now). I also agree that killing Superman so early was a stupid ass move. They should've saved Doomsday and the Death of Superman arc for a later film instead of stuffing into an already overstuffed movie. Preferably a solo Superman movie, like Man of Steel 3 or something. What's sad is, they actually re-did nearly all of Superman's scenes in this movie too so I'm scared to think what Snyder's original plan was. There is a rumor that when he came back, he went full evil and sided with Steppenwolf until the end. You can also tell any re-shot Superman scenes because when he came back for reshoots with Whedon he had a mustache for Mission Impossible 6 that he contractually couldn't shave, so they had to CGI the stache away lol.

How was Steppenwolf a decent villain? He had no real story or motivation with him, just a big strong CGI bad guy. Nothing to make the audience connect with him, and those of us who know comics knew he was just a pawn for Darkseid so that hurt him a bit too. I enjoyed the film, but Steppenwolf is a big reason why I'd knock it down a peg or so. DC is usually strong with villains, but they've been terrible in the DCEU outside of Zod.

It was fun and enjoyable in a lot of ways, but the story wasn't interesting and didn't flow well. Steppenwolf was a lame villain and comparable to Malekith who I think is the worst comic book movie villain in the past decade (not counting that F4 movie because I refused to watch that abomination). The movie was not bad by any stretch, it just isn't what I'd want from the first ever Justice League movie. Also, a $94 million dollar domestic opening weekend is rough for Warner Bros. executives. It wouldn't surprise me if the entire DCEU outside of Aquaman (already in production) and Wonder Woman 2 (they'd be crazy to cancel this) is now wiped clean. I still think using Flashpoint to soft reboot the universe to keep the good and send off the bad is the way to go. But we'll see, but regardless the big wigs at WB are not happy.

    Bucs going back to Gruden?

If Gruden were to leave the booth, the Bucs job would be the one that would entice him. He lives in Tampa and his family is there so it's easy there and he loves the team despite being fired a decade ago. I would think he would also be enticed with a young QB like Jameis, but details on this allegation he's facing could make things nasty. Who knows, I'd honestly prefer to give Dirk another season instead of continuing this Cleveland like carousel of coaches but I keep telling my friends that this seems like the typical Buc way of stuff going down.

I'd prefer not, but this seems like something the Bucs would do.

I feel ashamed for not watching any Punisher yet. Also, the Multiple Man movie sounds like a terrible idea. FOX is such a dog shit studio. EDIT: Speaking of FOX. There is reports that they also have talked with Sony, Comcast and Verizon about selling as well. I can't imagine any of those companies out bidding Disney if they seriously want a deal though. However, with Marvel movie rights the word on the street is that regardless of who FOX sells to, the rights will revert back to Marvel. Supposedly the contract doesn't allow FOX to sell the rights to another company. Disney wants to make the deal for all the TV stuff they can acquire (Imagine Homer Simpson now being Disney property), plus the original Star Wars trilogy distribution rights belong to FOX so a deal would allow them to add those movies to the upcoming Disney streaming service. All of this is just speculation, but I can see it being true. If Marvel seriously signed off on a deal allowing another company to sell their characters without their approval then they had the worst lawyers of all time.

Justice League was okay. Characters were likeable, plot was stupid, villain was lame. After credit scene was dope, not gonna lie.

FOX hasn't been killing it at the box office lately and there's been rumblings that they could sell properties and they just don't have the heavy hitting franchises that other studios have. They wouldn't be selling off the entire company, but selling off the movie studio is certainly something they have considered and will continue to do so. I also doubt Marvel misses with Deadpool much. They understand their characters better than anyone else and won't put out a kiddie movie when the rated R version is doing so well. FOX could flush New Mutants down the toilet for all I care, it looks like a cheap horror flick with unknown X-Men characters and even if they sell, it's not like the movie would fall off the face of the Earth, it's still going to be released.

This is common with big negotiations. The talks with Sony about Spider-Man had stopped and then one day we got the confirmation he was going to be in Civil War.

Also, surprised this hasn't been discussed yet. But Disney is in talks to purchase 21st Century FOX and all it's properties. Obviously, this would mean the rights to the X-Men, Deadpool and Fantastic Four would revert back to Marvel meaning they would have access to basically all their characters. This would be very exciting if it were to happen. It's pretty hard for Marvel to go into a new direction after Thanos and find something just as exciting, but having an Avengers vs X-Men film might do it. Plus it allows them to do a Galactus story, and Doctor Doom in the MCU is exciting. I personally think Disney wouldn't change much with Deadpool though. I think they'd keep Reynolds on to do his thing and it might kind of connect to the MCU and probably reference it but hey Taika Watiti supposedly was fighting hard to make something work for a Deadpool appearance in Ragnarok.

I feel like the comedy was good for a movie like Ragnarok because the story they told is really dark and depressing but they managed to make the movie fun for the family. I know people love dark gritty comic book movies like The Dark Knight and Logan, but Marvel's formula is a proven money maker. Also, I do feel like IW and Avengers 4 will live up to the hype, I have a lot of faith in the Russos. I have less faith in the MCU's success after. Especially if they indeed kill off Tony Stark and Steve Rodgers like everyone seems to think they will.

Lonzo is ass. If it weren't for his daddy, nobody would be talking about the dude. 8 ppg on 30% from the field? I understand he's a rookie but holy hell that's terrible. All hype and talk with no substance so far.

    2017-18 NBA Season Thread

I want to take a moment to now point out that the Orlando Magic sit alone atop the Eastern conference standings at 4-1 as of today, October 28th 2017. Last night was another blowout win over a contending team in the Spurs. I know this won't last, but I'm going to enjoy my brief moment after the past 5 years of misery.

    Bucs @ Bills

That one was disappointing. Jameis did everything he could to get the win, but the defense is just playing some serious shit ball.

So the Magic are off to a surprisingly hot 3-1 start that includes a blowout win in the King's castle. I'll enjoy this moment now until we inevitably come back down to Earth.

If Joe Thomas is playing football in 2018, it needs to be for a new team. I like that he's been loyal to Cleveland, but at his age why continue risking his body for historically bad teams?

    Trump Regime thread.

I couldn't last 15 seconds watching this, lol. Conservatives crying and pulling the victim card over people insulting a man who has done nothing but insult and say distasteful things his entire life. I'm not trying to hate on conservatives either necessarily (not all of them), I'm a registered Republican and this was my first election not voting for a Republican candidate. I just think this is a laughably pathetic attempt and trying to be victims, a lot of these same people were saying terrible and disgusting things about Obama (who I don't like either). This will always and probably forever be the way politics are discussed by people who don't actually understand it. But Trump is one of the few presidents who loves to dish it out, it's just so funny how sensitive he and his supporters get when it's dished back to him.

    The Superhero Thread

I've watched every episode of Inhumans thus far and will finish the series, but that's only because of my love for the comic book characters they are based on. However, it's obvious this series was made cheap and too fast. Going into this calender year we thought Inhumans was still eventually going to get a movie so the fact that changed so quicky to the point of a TV series being released in the same year instead tells me they rushed this. Having Medusa's hair chopped off is complete and utter BS and is only to save money on CGI since her hair and Lockjaw will cost them too much for a television series. It's disappointing because Black Bolt is a great character in the comics and these characters were screwed out of a chance to get more mainstream.
