  1. I mean people can take whatever meaning they want out of it I suppose, but the flag was the flag of the rebel states trying to succeed from the union. I just think it's funny because I live in an area with a lot of proud Southerners who fly that flag but they are also the first to demand the head of someone like Colin Kaepernick for disrespecting the American flag. If you ask me waving the flag that represents a group that wanted to separate themselves from America is more disrespectful to America than sitting for a song, but eh that's just me. To each their own.
  2. I don't think the confederate flag will ever disapear or be banned. But I do think it's funny that people who proudly display that flag are some who claim to be the most patriotic. Yeah, proudly display the flag that symbolizes suceeding from the country you claim to be so patriotic about lol.

They have been the toughest foe LeBron has faced in the East since he left for Miami, but I wouldn't consider them better than any team LeBron has faced in the Finals during that stretch either.

    Colin Kaepernick

Basically, he's better than a lot of backups with jobs but teams are scared of the backlash they will get from flag worshippers. It sucks for Kap, but I guess he has to accept the consequences of his actions, right or wrong.

They weren't all that sneaky about the name change for that movie, it just didn't get that much attention I suppose.

Kobe was like the complete opposite of LeBron in terms of his competition, had to get through a stacked conference for what was likely an easy Finals opponent. Whereas LeBron flies through a creampuff conference for a stacked opponent in the Finals.

I want to put LeBron over Kobe because he's physically more talented and capable of controlling a game more than Kobe, but Kobe was just one of the biggest crunch time killers of all time and it's hard to argue 5 rings to 3 currently. If LeBron can sneak another ring away from Golden State his case is a lot better.

So, DC sneakily changed the name of the Flash film to Flashpoint. Anyone else think they may be using this as a way to soft reboot some things in the DCEU to help explain the actor change in Batman and maybe lean away from what Snyder initially started?

I'm pretty sure he's the first to cross over the shared universes. Originally it was going to be Patrick Wilson since he is going to be a villain in Aquaman and had a small voice role in BvS, but he dropped out of his role in Ant-Man.

So, I just saw a leaked video of the Infinity War footage and....HOLY.FUCKING.SHIT I WANT NAO PLS NAO Some other MCU notes from Comic Con Thor: Ragnarok -New Trailer online -Some more info on Hulk. Supposedly he's happy being a warrior on Sakaar and hasn't transformed back into Banner for a while. Which explains why he's beginning to speak more as seen in the trailer. -The film takes place four years after Thor: The Dark World, which makes sense in the MCU timeline and doesn't throw the whole thing for a loop like Spider-Man did. Black Panther -Brand new movie poster released -Not much else on this film, it's in a weird stage of development where it's two early to show a 2nd trailer and any big announcements for casting or characters have been made a while ago. Avengers: Infinity War -The first promotional posters have been released. -The footage from D23 was shown and has leaked online, not officially released by Marvel. Ant-Man and the Wasp -Michelle Pfeiffer has been cast as Janet van Dyne, Hank Pym's wife, and the original Wasp. -Laurence Fishburne has been cast as Dr. Bill Foster, a scientist who becomes Goliath in the comics. -A new logo has been revealed and the movie will begin shooting soon if it hasn't already. Captain Marvel -Movie will take place in the early 1990s. -The Skrulls will be the villains of the film. -Nick Fury will appear in the movie still having both his eyes. The Captain Marvel bit has me most excited, finally having the Skrulls introduced into the MCU is epic and I hope they lead into Secret Invasion sooner than later. Also, it being set in the 1990s can help explain her showing up in the Infinity saga films at full power and will introduce audiences to the character so they can jump straight into character development right away instead of waiting for the sequel, kind of like what's happening with Black Panther. All in all, it's an exciting time to be a Marvel fan.

The Pelicans should be contracted if they trade Anthony Davis, he has potential to be the best player in the league when LeBron's reign is over and Cousins is a FA at the end of the year. Why would they keep the less talented player on a shorter contract? As for the Cavs, this may sound controversial but should they consider trading LeBron? If he is as gone as everyone acts, maybe get some assets instead of watch him leave again. I know it may be tough, but you aren't beating Golden State and the team is falling apart...

Calvin Johnson Wanted to Leave Lions before Retiring

He's not wrong to say that Calvin signed that contract and should have to deal with the consequences. He did and he did, he chose to retire instead of putting his body at risk. I just don't think it's wrong for him to ask about getting out of the deal via trade or release, because the team wouldn't give a second thought about cutting a guy for not living up to a contract. It's a bit of a double standard in the NFL.

Calvin Johnson Wanted to Leave Lions before Retiring

It's a double edged sword. If he took less money elsewhere to go win, he would be demonized like Kevin Durant. The NFL and the NBA aren't quite the same but there is this narrative with fans to always make the player the bad guy. In hindsight, signing the long extension was a poor decision but at this point in his life he made the decision that the potential of injuries ruining his life wasn't worth playing for the Lions. They refused to move him, so he made the right decision for himself and retired. I say good on him. If he had a few injuries and wasn't the same player, the Lions wouldn't think twice about cutting him and getting his contract off the books. So why is it the player is the bad guy for wanting to try and correct his mistake when teams do it all the time and are praised for it?

I'm not digging the new FO of the Magic already. Basically did nothing but add MORE players who can't shoot or score this offseason while keeping the old roster of crap that can't shoot or score. Then they go on TV and tell fans to be patient and that they have faith in these shitty players that got the last FO fired. It's one thing to try and sell me patience while tanking, but this team isn't tanking. We suck, but not badly enough to get a high draft pick. A lot of people talk about the 8th seed limbo being the worst place in the NBA, but that isn't true being stuck in middle of the lottery limbo is and that is where this organization is stuck. I love my Orlando Magic, but I'm afraid it will be a long time until this team is competitive and respectable again. But hey I'm sure there are more "defensive studs" with no ability to shoot whatsoever that we can add and help us go 30-52 next year....

I'm not saying they made Aunt May look like a grandma in the movie, but her sexiness was for sure toned down from Civil War.

They for sure toned down how sexy Marisa Tomei is. She looked stunning in Civil War and they tried to make her seem older in this for sure. Likely to appease stupid fanboys who think Aunt May can only be an old hag.

Homecoming was a fun packed film. It carried the charm of the MCU and it portrayed a Spider-Man that is different from what we are used to. It wasn't just the Maguire/Garfield characters thrown into the MCU. Michael Keaton was great, and Vulture is up there with one of the best MCU villains so far.

I agree, but the Clippers had to choose between building around him or a tank and rebuild. That franchise has been horrible for most of it's existence so I don't blame them for not wanting to go down that path.

I don't blame Blake for taking that money. He's injury prone and honestly not all that great so make the money while you can. Idk why everyone assumed CP3 jumping ship meant the same thing for Griffin.

I doubt Indiana wanted what the Rockets gave up for CP3 plus Chris WANTED to be in Houston. If George was as committed to the Rockets as CP3 was he'd be there. I think the Thunder makes a lot of sense to go aggressive and make this deal, because there is no guarantee he re-signs but OKC has set themselves up for a better future either way. Either they keep George long term or have a lot more cap space than they would've otherwise.

I think George is going to end up being a one year rental in OKC, but even if that's the case it's still a big win for Presti since he got rid of Oladipo's bloated contract.

The worst part about the trade for the Bulls was having to give up the 16th pick. When you're moving the best player in the deal, you shouldn't be giving out a 1st with him unless you're taking an albatross contract off the other team's hands which was not the case. Poor decision. I like Zach LaVine a lot and I think a lot of people here are sleeping on him. The guy was balling out before the injury last year, he was averaging 19 ppg on 46% from the field and 39% from 3. The injury is no doubt a concern and the big question mark about him, but he's only 22. I could see him developing into a 20 pppg player in Chicago. I'm not a huge Dunn fan, but supposedly Chicago loved him in last year's draft and despite an awful rookie season he is just a year remvoed from being a top 5 pick. Maybe a change of scenery helps him.
