  1. I literally can not stop laughing that UCF is claiming themselves to be national champions and they are even throwing a national championship parade at Disney World. I live in the Orlando area and attended UCF but I absolutely HATE this school. They are such an arrogant school it's ridiculous, and I'm not talking about their football program either. I still remember my orientation there and the leaders of the school where doing a speech to a big audotorium of people and they were telling us how companies will be fighting each other for the right to hire UCF graduates and that a UCF degree guarantees you made it in life. The smug just kind of radiates around that place and I don't know why, they think they are Harvard or some shit and now they had one great football season and they think they are Alabama too throwing national champion parades lol. They better enjoy it while they last, because they aren't going to have a season like this again. Hell, the coach jumped ship right away from the "prestigous" UCF. Enjoy your fake national championship bozos.

  2. Sean McDermott deserves a lot of praise. I honestly thought the Bills would be lucky to win more than 4 games going in and instead they break their epic playoff drought. Congrats to them and their fans.

  3. I'm on the fence about the Bucs' decision to retain Koetter. For one, I'm glad we can have some sort of consistency but at the same time I feel like Dirk has fallen short in the main area he was hired for. Developing Jameis. I don't think he's horrible, but he hasn't grown as much over these 3 years as a QB with his potential should. Dirk has been calling plays for him since he's been a rookie and there's been no real growth. I mean, that was the reason Lovie was fired. So we could promote Koetter and let him keep developing Winston. But the worst thing about the situation is that Dirk is refusing to give up play calling or fire Mike Smith. Which is completely and totally unacceptable IMO. Dirk clearly needs to give up some responsibility but he's being an arrogant ass about it. I feel like we are just keeping everyone for the simple sake of continuity and I don't think it's going to work out. Wouldn't surprise me if Koetter doesn't even make it to the end of 2018 if we struggle.

  4. LMAO. Honestly, I don't really think Mike Brown gives a hoot about winning any Super Bowls. He knows Lewis will keep them competent enough for people to buy tickets and merchandise and that's all he cares about.

  5. I want to bring up something else that I think is relevant to dating, but it also has to do with culture in general these days. If you guys don't see or haven't seen this in your own lives and those around you, that's fine... but I have.

What I am talking about is young people are more indecisive now than ever. We have been getting blasted with information from all sides for the better part of 10 years now, when you think about it. More and more people are looking around and saying... I don't want to commit to this or that because if I do, it closes off all the other options. This applies to dating, work, traveling, food... everything.

It's not that people are always intentionally looking for a better option... it's that even if we are passive, a better option often will present itself to us naturally through the new norm we've started to live in. Although on the other hand, this is precisely what Tinder offers us. We find someone we like, but we don't delete our accounts in case someone even better comes along.

I have learned this the hard way... I've met girls and gotten on well with them from online dating sources... but very quickly they freeze all contact with me and don't respond to my messages. The likeliest outcome is that they have found someone they perceive to be better. For hooking up, Tinder and things in that mold are devastatingly easy and efficient. But if you want to find an old school relationship, you gotta use old school means to find it. IMO.

(Yes, before anyone says anything, I am well aware that people online have married others they met. I think we can agree that these people are the exception and do not follow the normal pattern described above.)

So I told myself that I will no longer participate in online dating. It forced me to become a better and more interesting person so that when girls meet me in real life, rather than online, I can keep their attention. I traveled to another country, learned to speak another language, learned to dance, got a career I enjoy... all of these things added together make me a lot more attractive than I was before. And even if I told someone online about all of those things, they can't really see or know how these things make me a good partner for them.

Anyway, long story short... I think as a whole society has become very indecisive, and that makes things hard in many ways, dating being no exception. We can't change that, but we can overcome it. Let's go back to meeting girls in person. At the very least, it shows you have the balls to pursue her in person while she swipes away the 30th guy this week.

I agree with you, and I think online dating has made the dating culture worse these days. It just allows people to be more shallow and noncommittal. If you start having 2nd thoughts about the guy who asked you out in class, you have to be an adult and say it in person. Online, all you have to do is ignore/block the person you're talking to. Plus I think most online dating apps, especially tinder, make things more about looks than personality and it's just further adding to our already shallow culture.

I do want to say, I think online dating sucks for both sexes for different reasons. Women always get bombarded with messages from guys daily and a lot of them are just inappropriate or gross. Where what sucks for men is, statistically there is usually more men using online dating and that allows women to be more picky making it tougher for those who don't stand out in their profile pics. I've tried my luck at online dating over the years, but I've realized it's very unlikely my future wife will be found on one.

  6. No Hugh Jackman with the Avengers.

    :fbm:

I am 100% happy about this. Hugh's take on Wolverine was epic and a lot of people recognize him for it but he did it for 17 years and ended it on a perfect note with Logan. Bringing him back for an MCU movie would cheapen that film for me. Plus, if Hugh did come back it would likely be for just one big epic team up with the Avengers and that's it. Marvel is going to want someone to play Wolverine for a long slate of movies. Plus while Jackman was great, Marvel will find someone who looks more like the comic version and we'll see a more colorful comic inspired version of the character. Something different from what we've seen so far with Hugh Jackman. I'm pretty excited to see how they handle Wolverine, because he's too epic to not get MCU representation with the rights coming back but it's going to be a sticky situation replacing Hugh Jackman. It's one thing to recast the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man, it's another to recast Hugh Jackman.

  7. I wont @ you for that but I cant take you seriously if Phantom Menace isnt last.

Attack of the Clones is very deserving of being at the bottom of any Star Wars list. Not that Phantom Menace isn't either, but I enjoyed the movie when I saw in theaters as a kid and loved Darth Maul so it gets a slight nod for me. But rewatching as an adult you can see how terrible Phantom Menace looks now though.

  8. It's really interesting to see how dating has evolved over the years. Obviously social media is the number one game changer. Not only is there plenty of dating apps to meet new people, but most people have some form of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. that almost allows anyone to look you up. I feel like social media dating allows us to be more picky and patient since you don't have to go anywhere to meet anyone or put that much effort into talking to someone new. If the person you're talking to is starting to get boring, just ignore them and wait for the next person to come around. The old way it was difficult and awkward to approach new dating candidates and awkwardly ask a stranger to spend time with you, once you found something that somewhat worked it was more likely to stick. You couldn't just fire up tinder and look for the next one, you had to wait until you come across someone single you have interest in.

Another interesting aspect is how much the idea of being romantic has changed over the years. I saw a comedy video somewhere (can't remember where) about your grandma's big romantic story vs yours today. The old lady was talking about how when she first met her husband he would send her flowers every day and love letters and how it was the most romantic thing and then today that happens and the woman is locking herself in her room calling the police because she's being stalked by a creep. I mean, when you think about it the old ways of romanticism where kind of creepy, I just think it's funny to see how much it's changed now.

  9. I went into this tonight excited to enjoy this after two weeks on the road working, but I hated almost everything about this. This might be one of my least favorite movies ever(not necessarily worst, but least favorite when factoring in everything). Even when it did something I liked, it was followed up by an unnecessary twist that I hated. Not going to get into spoilers now, but maybe later I'll rant on about it.

  10. I think this is best case scenario for Deadpool. Reynolds stays on, he can just 4th wall break his way into MCU and audiences will eat it up. His movies won't have any major impacts on anything else, but now we can have comical crossovers with MCU characters. Like how Colossus was in the first, now you could use Hulk in that role potentially. I'm just so excited for the future MCU, I can't believe they actually are getting these characters back. They just need to buy up the Spider-Man rights from Sony and then work something out with Universal for Hulk/Namor distribution and they officially brought all the rights back. Honestly, the first is way more likely than the second.

  11. It's official, Disney has purchased the assets to 21st Century FOX and Marvel gets their characters back. Bob Iger also spoke about Deadpool and other R rated franchises and said Disney will NOT prevent any rated R Marvel movies from being made. Because most of us know that Disney loves money way too much to pass on that lol.

  12. Who's ready for Good Guy Venom?!?!

I love the character and the idea sounds fun, but I don't trust Sony. Plus, I think they are dropping the ball on a golden chance to show Peter come in contact with the symbiote in IW and set up Venom in the MCU istead. But maybe a darker take on the property will make for a fun movie.

  13. While I agree that PE is annoying most of the time, I do agree with him on his point with money whether he's trolling or serious. The pursuit of money is the root of most evil in humans, we're milking our planet dry for resources, killing other people, screwing over others, etc to pursue this currency. I could go into a huge rant about the Federal Reserve, but I won't.

  14. so where are all of the stones at this point? (as far as we know)

Mind stone is in Vision's head

Power stone is on Xandar with Nova Corps

    Space stone is with Loki

Reality stone was last seen with the Collector, but hasn't appeared since Dark World and his place was blown up in the first Guardians, so this could be considered missing, right? am I missing something?

Time stone is with Dr. Strange

Soul stone we haven't seen, which means it's either in Wakanda or Thanos already has it

    anything I'm missing?

You pretty much got it. As for the reality stone, there is info on a leaked scene from IW online that explains slightly what has happened with it but I won't spoil anything.

  15. Why did they have to throw in an army battle? Getting so tired of that. Its so unnecessary. They said it was going to be a heist film, looks like rehashed laziness to me.

It is a heist film, it's Thanos trying to collect all the stones. When the movie opens he has no stones (assuming he doesn't have the Soul Stone), and Avengers 4 is expected to be him at full power. My guess is the army battle in Wakanda is protect the Soul Stone while Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and the Guardians take on Thanos in space. The one thing I've heard about this particular film is that the characters are split up and taking on different tasks throughout the movie.

Also, the Disney/FOX deal is getting even closer and many predicting it will be announced next week. The MCU is about to become complete and I can't be more excited.

  16.

    There is no way.

In reality I am just trying to temper expectations. But even if it is as amazing as it looks... What do they do after this? How could they top it? Good luck.

They don't need to top this. As long as they keep making good movies it doesn't matter if they don't do one better or more epic than this. But with a buyout of FOX looking increasingly likely, Marvel will have some options with epic movies down the line. Avengers vs X-Men or a showdown with Galactus makes for an epic film.

  17. Pretty much what ooch said, we know that Thanos was going to get all the stones at some point so it had to come out of Vision's noggin. Plus, we honestly don't know if they are successful in that scene. When they show the two gems in Thanos' gauntlet they were blue (Tesseract) and purple (the Orb, which as far as we know is on Xandar with the Nova Corps) and the Mind Stone in Vision's head is yellow. Who knows though, Marvel has been tricky with how they edit the CGI for trailers to hide things lately. So excited to finally see these movies in theaters soon!

  18. If it weren't for the Peterman thing this would be the dumbest coaching decision of the year. I'd get it if you were starting a young promising QB, but you're going with a vet who has not only already failed a franchise he failed the franchise that shares the same damn stadium as the Giants lol.

  19. Love the trailer. Really didn't give away much, just teased to the audience an idea of what characters they can expect and some of the settings. I think it was smart to save the Guardians for the last tease bit, a lot of the GA may not be aware of them being in the movie and it will probably hype up a lot of people in theaters when they are seeing Star Wars in a few weeks.
