  2. I saw a few people had some issues with the current Elite Member voting system. I think I came up with an idea that may work. I'm still tired so my thoughts may not seem thoroughly consolidated so bare with me. I think instead of having a 3 round 4 person, 2 person, and 2 person induction, we should have 4 rounds inducting 2 people per round. Every 3 months, an Elite Member reelection should still take place. Where it changes is that, the first ballot guys which is the two guys that get selected in the first round get reelection immunity and get automatically granted a second term (6 months) without having their Elite status revoked. When we reach the 2nd term for reelection, the two first ballot guys will be safe (3 months remaining) as I said in the previous paragraph. So from that point forward after the First election, it will only be 3 rounds inducting 2 people per round (6 guys) and 2 guys safe having immunity. The first ballot guys out of the 3 round election shall get reelection immunity as well and get to be elite for 2 terms (joining the first set of guys having a total of 4 elite members with immunity). So the next reelection after that, the 1st set of guys that had the reelection immunity, their reelection immunity will drop. Then it gives a chance every election for two people to get reelection immunity status and be elite for 2 terms (6 months). So every 3 months, 2 elite members with immunity will drop and the doors will be open for 2 immunity elite spots for whoever gets in the first round and 4 elite members in rounds 2-3 who will be thrown back into the voting pile in 3 months; next term. FIRST ELECTION So, the very first election will be 4 rounds 2 people per round. The first two guys (first ballot) get reelection immunity and be safe next term. People in rounds 2-4 get regular elite status and it will be revoked next term and get thrown back into the voting pile. SECOND ELECTION 3 Months later, the guys that received reelection immunity in the FIRST ELECTION will be safe (3 months remaining). So from this point forward, every election will just be 3 rounds 2 people per round. The first two guys that get selected in the first round get reelection immunity elite status as well (and join the 2 immunity guys from the First Election 3 months prior). People in rounds 2-3 get regular elite status and it will be revoked next term in 3 months. Meanwhile, the guys that got reelection status prior (FIRST ELECTION) to this election have 3 months remaining. So after the first initial election, from the 2nd election and forward, there will always be 4 members with immunity status at all times(two having 6 months remaining and two having 3 months remaining) and 4 members with regular elite member status. THIRD ELECTION 3 Months later, the guys that received reelection immunity stats in the FIRST ELECTION (6 months prior) immunity status will drop. So 3 rounds, 2 people per round. First round guys get the reelection immunity elite status and rounds 2-3 get regular elite status. The guys that got reelection status in the SECOND ELECTION will have 3 months remaining. So, the cycle would continue forever like what I said above. I read that people didn't like that every 3 months that their elite member status would be revoked. So I tried to design a system that would allow people to have the chance to be able to keep their elite status and have immunity for their 2nd term. So every 3 months, there will be a chance for 2 people to gain immunity elite member status and the rest just elite members. Immunity last 6 months. The first term you get voted in and the 2nd term you are immune to losing your elite status. The election after that you lose your immunity and go back into the voting pile. So officially after the 2nd term, we will always have 4 elite members with immune status. I did think about after someone's immunity expires that they would be ineligible to get voted in round 1 to obtain immunity again but be eligible for rounds 2-3; to prevent back to back and consecutive immunities. That would make it guaranteed for everyone to get it sometime down the line. But everyone already has a chance to get elite status every 3 months. The honor of first ballot should be earned in my opinion and TGP should rightfully choose who those 2 people should be regardless if they get voted in consecutive times or not. That should be for TGP to determine. Don't want to make things too easy so when someone does get first ballot and receive reelection immunity, they know that earned it and it was handed to them by default rules. That also gives way for slight competition (you know what coaches say' competition is always a good thing ) to get that spot whether it be creating good threads, quality post, or simply bonding with people on the board. So when someone topples that immunity king giant that dominated for consecutive terms, they know they earned it and the people of TGP felt as though it was their time. First ballot Elite immunity status would be the ultimate honor and privilege not to be handed to someone due to default rules. If you don't get first ballot, it's not the end of the world. Nothing is preventing anyone from getting voted consecutively in rounds 2-3. Anyways, just some food for though. Hopefully I made sense. I think it would work out.

    1. A.J Green 2. Adrian Peterson 3. Drew Brees 4. Odell Beckham 5. Xavier Rhodes Honorable mentions: Aaron Rodgers Todd Gurley Harrison Smith Luke Kuechly Denadre Hopkins
  4. Missed week 1 but which player would you take from your opponents team? No QBs allowed. Week 2: Tyron Smith. Probably the best LT in the league. Jason Peters had a tough showing last Monday night. Not sticking a fork in him but have to go with youth here.

Redskins may let 2 WR's test the FA market

I honestly think that Desean joining the Bucs makes the most sense. Mike Evans on one side with Desean on the other? That spells problems. Winston has the arm to get it deep to Desean too. I like that destination for Desean.

5 Favorite Players Not On Your Team

Yeah. That's why it is hard to compare players across different era's. I won't speak for Sherman or Peterson, but the level of domination that Revis achieved with the new rules surpasses the level of dominance than those in the past with basically no rules in my opinion. The game is unquestionably more difficult than the past and It's not a knock against Lott. With that being said, the few years that Lott played corner, he didn't reach the level of dominance that Revis did in shutting his opponent down week in and week out against the teams best receiver. Lott who was a great corner did what he did best when he moved over to safety.

Ronnie Lott was the man. No argument there. He's an all time great. However, for me, Revis playing in the most dominant passing era that the game has ever seen combined with how strict the rules are now in the passing game against defenders has to be the most difficult era ever to play corner in. Considering these two factors and Revis success in still shutting down the best players in the world at the WR position, Revis takes the crown in my opinion.

Desean Jackson's is still one of the best deep threats in the NFL. He still has that deep elite speed that you have to account for on every single play. He automatically impacts a defensive coordinators game plan because his speed has to be account for. That's a game changing element he will bring to any club that he signs too. One day, maybe soon, he will lose a step and his effectiveness will drop. But for now, his speed is still very much in tact. I would give him no more than a 3 year deal. There has been a lot of connections with Desean and the Eagles having mutual interest. I wouldn't mind having him back if we did sign him. But there are some other developments that have caught my interest. Brandin Cooks being on the trade block being one of them. The Saints are asking for a first, but if that could be dropped to a 2nd and maybe a late draft pick, I'm all on board. Brandon Marshall got released too. If we could trade for Cook and pick up Marshall, it would be a dream come true. Our receiving corps would go from the worst in the league to very solid.

    1. A.J Green The rest in no particular order Julio Jones Tom Brady Drew Brees Darrelle Revis - He fell off a cliff but I still have mad respect for Revis. In his prime, he was the best corner to ever play the game in my opinion.

    UPDATE: Jamaal Charles signs w/Broncos

I hope the Eagles do take a shot on him. Charles won't cost much of anything because of the past two season. He's far from reliable at this point due to his last 2 injury riddled seasons but the reward is worth the risk at this point especially considering how bad our back field is. He's a versatile threat and would fit great in Pederson's scheme (Charles ex- O coordinator). Keep his load light rotating other backs in and hope he stays healthy. Add Charles and dump Ryan Mathews (with his contract) who is injury prone as well and maybe draft a guy.

    Saints flip the Byrd

The Eagles most definitely dodged a bullet here because this was the year we were looking to add a safety because of how terrible our back end was. Looking back, we made the right choice in signing Malcolm Jenkins.

Is It Time To End The Bortles Experiment?

In all seriousness, no way you give up on Bortles. The kid has crazy arm talent. Just needs some coaching up that's all.

Our safety tandem is pretty dope. Jenkins is picking back up where he left off last year; playing as one of the best safeties in the league. He was actually the #1 rated safety on PFF last year. He just doesn't get much recognition and is very underrated by the public. As far as who's D-line is better, the Vikings are leading the league in sacks and have the highest sack percentage in the league. But I love me some Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox. I think Graham will hit his potential and be 12+ sack guy. The stats are currently what they are, but give me my boys.

I feel so bad for Brees. He's putting up 3 and 4 TD games and still losing. That has to be frustrating.

    Bradford/Bridgewater

I am going to have to go with Bradford here. He undoubtedly has more upside. Bridgewater is limited as a passer and Bradford has the far superior arm. The only question ofcourse is his durability. However, Bridgewater is out and who knows if his injury will be a complication moving forward. Bradford's arm talent adds another element to this already very good Vikings team. They have more potential with Bradford at the helm and more limited with Bridgewater. I don't think there is a good argument to really say otherwise. However, they say the best ability is availability and Bradford's injury concerns are legitimate. With that said, that doesn't bode well for Bridgewater's current situation. Like Bware pointed out though, Bradford was connecting with those receivers in a way I haven't seen Teddy do. After Bradford returned from his injury last season with the Eagles, Bradford was playing very well. If he remains healthy, he will do well with the Vikings and will take Teddy's job. When it comes to QBs, I have to go with the more talented passer ten times out of ten.

    Steelers @ Eagles

The outcome of this game is one I would have never believed if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes. I thought we were going to give up a L on this one. I knew it could be possible to win, but I never would have bet on winning in the manner we did; with such a dominating performance on both sides of the ball. Wentz once again demonstrated excellent poise, patience, great decision making (and I can't over emphasis this) and veteran like command over the offense. He led our team to points on just about every drive. Wentz is seeing the field well, before the snap, and also once the ball is snapped making his reads and getting the ball out of his hands quick. His stature reminds me of a Big Ben, but his game play (imo) reminds me/resembles that of an Aaron Rodgers. He's making some great throws but more of his mobility and effectiveness outside of the pocket. Wentz being able to move out the pocket and throw those laser darts is what reminds me of Rodgers. And this is by no means a comparison, just similarities that I see and hope that it continues. Even with how great Wentz has played, I think our defense has been that much better. The defense has been a true dominant force. Our D-line smothered Ben all game and made it difficult for him to make plays. Not only that, our coverage outside of one big play was stout all game. The receivers weren't getting open. Antonio Brown got his (which we all knew he would) but our secondary even made a few nice plays on him as well that was impressive despite the game he had. The Steelers offense was a real test for our defense and our defense answered in a strong way allowing no TDs. Schwartz has been truly incredible. This is the best 3 game start to an Eagles team defensively I can remember. I hope they can keep it up because if they can, we can be a dangerous team with serious contention implications. The Schwartz Effect: https://twitter.com/JeffSkversky/status/780380902220259328 We could have almost double that amount of turnovers. We had 3 dropped interceptions against Ben and 1 last week. Our secondary can't catch.

    Steelers @ Eagles

True. We kicked them the way bad teams should be kicked. Playing a good team is night and day compared to playing a bad team (see Texans vs Pats). Again, I will say it's very much possible we could, I just can't bring myself to bet on it until I actually see it first. I have no real credible basis to warrant such confidence (BrownBears) and I would feel like I'm being an overly optimistic homer. The potential is there I believe but it has to manifest itself on the field first against a credible opponent to build real trust and faith.
