Bills formally announce sale to Terry Pegula

Pretty awesome IMO. Pegula will be a great owner for the Bills, mostly because he's definitely got that "I want to see wins, not ticket sales" mentality in him. He's a competitor, which is often rare when it comes to franchise owners.

Calvin Johnson battling a high-ankle sprain

Are the Lions @ the Vikings? If so, I wouldn't want Johnson on the field if I was coaching the Lions. That Vikings field is absolutely terrible, it's caused quite a few injuries already this year.

    Update: AP returns to Vikings

Peterson was probably first ballot... Now we are sitting and questioning not only if he will ever play again, but his stature as an individual in society, much less the NFL. I mean you know that you are in pretty deep shit at this point, so you know the consequences, and you still go and smoke? I understand the whole "just a little bit" deal, but come on man! You're teeter-tottering on the edge of the future of your career. At this point, one has to ask if Peterson is just searching for trouble now. I mean, this is getting ridiculous. I just can't fathom the minds of professional athletes anymore. Smoking some weed is one thing, and I believe that is a tragedy in itself for these guys, but stuff like this and repeat offenders? These guys should feel absolutely blessed to be in the NFL, and I don't think they feel or see it that way. You almost have to wonder if it's time the NFL takes a serious stance on guys getting trouble with the law and just says you know, fine if you're going to have a problem with the law then you're not going to play football with us this year. I would imagine that would change the tune with many players in the league.

Russell Wilson's ascension to elite QB ranks

This right here. I get so sick of the QB vs QB statistics and win percentages. It's just stupid. A quarterback doesn't play the opposing quarterback, they play the opposing defenses. What one quarterback does on the field, has no effect on what another does. This makes the Seahawks elite, it's makes the Seahawks defense real damn good - as we already know they are. Russell Wilson is a great quarterback, but let's not be stacking him up as the best because of his win percentage against other great quarterbacks teams.

Damn man... Seems to me that there were a lot of mistakes made in this case. Not quite sure why or how that happens on such a high profile case like this, these are the ones you really need to dot your i's and cross your t's.

    Falcons @ Giants

Beckham Jr definitely has some wheels. There were 3 passes that Eli Manning just flat out missed him when he was basically wide open. I'm pretty disappointed in the Falcons coaching at the end of the game. I get our defense wasn't riding so hot, but our offensive line was absolutely in a state of decay by the end of that game. Why Mike Smith would go for it is beyond me. We were ALREADY within the Giants' field goal range on our side of the field, and we weren't getting any push. We had what, 4 minutes remaining with 3 time outs? At some point, regardless of how your defense is playing, you put a little trust in them. It made absolutely NO sense. We gave the Giants a free 3 points to go up by two scores, instead of going to the defense and attempting for a fantastic 2 minute drive if we did stop the Giants.... Which, by the way, Matt Ryan is pretty good at leading! I've been one of Mike Smiths biggest supporters, but as hard as it is to say, I think he's lost his killer instinct. I really don't believe it's our coordinators at this point. There's no need for us to lay off in the second half, even our coverage went soft after a strong showing. It's like he goes from trying to win the games, to just trying to survive in fear of what the other team may do. If ever a man on the hot seat, it's got to be Smith. He's been able to ride the talent on the Falcons to a lot of wins in previous years, the talent isn't there on defense this year, so it's time for him to COACH his way to some wins. He's not doing that. It's almost as if there is no leadership, no feeling on the side line when the game is on the line. Much more, Osi and Kroy Biermann are NOT our best defensive ends. I feel like Dimitroff and Smith are forcing Nolan to play those two guys at this point. Massaquoi has shown he can seal the edge in the run game, and get to the quarterback, yet he still doesn't pull the start or the snaps out over Kroy Biermann or Osi. Same goes for Goodman. Every time Goodman has been on the field, he's done his job. Osi hasn't the size to succeed in defending the run, and he hasn't got the speed anymore to come off the edge and get to the quarterback. It's just a bad use of talent that we have sitting on the bench. It's a damn shame too, because our interior guys (Soliai and Jackson) have been doing their jobs, they're drawing the double coverage on the line... Ay... Get Osi and Kroy off field, guarantee better results. The problem right now behind the line is that our linebackers are young. They're going to make mistakes, we need to get the defensive line working. That's all there is to it. Mike Smith, TRUST YOUR DEFENSE, no matter how bad it is.

How high would you draft Amari Cooper?

I don't think he's in the same class as Green and Jones were coming out. That's real tough to match. Seems like since those two were drafted a few years ago, there has been a guy every year that gets the tag of "this guy is the same caliber as Julio Jones and AJ Green". That's not the case, Cooper is a great receiver, game changing absolutely, but I think he's a guy that will go somewhere from 10-15. I'm not buying that he's going to make the top 10, and I can't say I would take him in the top 10.

Our offensive line looks better now than it did before all the injuries sustained last week. Running lanes opening up for Jackson, Matt Ryan getting time on blitzes, not too shabby. I can live with this lol Our defense though....A gigantic pile of cow lard... <_<

Falcons IR everyone, sign OT Bradfield

I really don't think you'll have as big of an issue as you believe you will. Mine Tice has absolutely reworked how a lot of these guys play and he's done a great job teaching them new things. Hearing that Harland Gunn will get the start at LG, a guy who has always has a lot of talent but hasn't put it all together. Peter Konz at center is a hive worry, but Asomoah being on his right should really help am anchor that area. Couple that on with Ryan's improved presence, we could see the same results as we have been seeing this year.

    State of the 2014 Pats

Brandon Browner, Mr. Jekyll and Hyde himself. One week, fantastic, the next, yikes! Then again, I think the targets his opponents see won't be nearly as high with Revis not playing as well as in the past.

Steve Smith unloads on Panthers G.M., coach, Greg Hardy

I think that Smith is definitely sour, and he's still upset about the situation as opposed to moving on. But with that said, that's just Steve Smith, guy is passionate and always has been. Smith should have finished his career with the Panthers, and probably would have done so, but they pushed him out the door and let him go. Sad really. He's still a polarizing receiver.

    State of the 2014 Pats

I don't care what anyone says, I agree with this statement right here. Gronk isn't at 100% right now, that's a no-brainer IMO. Why are people still on the whole idea that Amendola is a legitimate #1 receiver? He never was. For one, he's injury prone. For two, there is not one single thing that he does exceptionally well (In terms of top 10). He's you're average #1 receiver when he's healthy. The type of guy who will give you some highlights, but he's not going to put up huge numbers. Dobson? They won't even play him! That tells you everything you need to know. Tom Brady is a great quarterback, but aging, you start needing some help from the rest of the team. The Patriots have far more problems right now than Tom Brady looking inaccurate early in the season. The problem is that they took the approach in the off-season that they were going to make a defense that could win a championship instead of finely tuning what they knew they had (Tom Brady at QB). The Patriots completely flopped making a top defense like they wanted to. They aren't covering guys, their linebackers are getting killed in the middle of the field. They should have went into the off-season and found a big time receiver. You're telling me they couldn't have swung a little for Stevie Johnson, I understand the Bills are in the same division, but let's be honest, the Bills aren't contenders in the near future and for what they could have given up for a receiver like Johnson. Brady would have been eating him up! More so, the Patriots brass could have went after DeSean Jackson when he was released by the Eagles, they never even attempted! Could you imagine Tom Brady with a play-making speedster like Jackson, and Gronk under-neath or running down field beside him? Holy hell. Game over!

Falcons IR everyone, sign OT Bradfield

Perhaps an under-statement. Thing is though, I still don't believe it's our offensive line that will end up doing us in. Bradfield likely won't start, even still signing him is a blunder by the coaching staff. There are much better FA options out there that would gladly take a low-end deal to the end of the season. Carimi will probably take over at RT as he already has experience with our guys. Carimi and Holmes is a near wash. Where it gets sticky for the O-Line is at center. We have literally NO ONE that will be able to come in and replace Hawley. That's saying a lot because Hawley isn't even that good of a lineman. He's mediocre at best. With that said though, Matt Ryan has shown an absolute amazing ability this year to make his own time by moving inside what little pocket he has had. People believe the Falcons have had better blocking, but that's not the case. Ryan has taken a HUGE step forward at being able to site the pressure coming and actually move around to make time. The fact that he worked on getting faster will really help too, this year when he has been running for his life, he's been able to get away and get gains on the ground! I'd like to say that's sarcasm, but it's not, it's the cold hard truth lol Now with that said, it's our defense that's the worry here. Mike Nolan is a great coordinator, simply put though, there isn't any talent on the defense. We've got great talent in Worrilow, he has an eye for the ball but he's still raw and he struggles in pass coverage (Circa Curtis Lofton, we really circled the wagon there!). Desmond Trufant is fantastic! Constantly making plays to keep us in it. Robert Alford has looked fantastic at times, but again like Worrilow, very raw. He does great in coverage at times, and other times he gives up huge plays due to stupid mistakes. So - Worrilow, Trufant, Alford, maybe Hageman? Other than that, our defense is pathetic. There is no talent out there, the best coach in the world couldn't make even a top 20 defense with the product we are putting on the field and everyone knows it. When the head coaches brother in law, who has always been right up the Falcons ass and the biggest media fan boy, says there is no talent on defense - then you know there is no talent there! Couple no talent in with no on-field leadership (Because Spoon is sitting on teh sidelines), and it's a damned mess. The Falcons desperately need a pass rush right now. Picking up Soliai and Jackson was great in theory. Clog the holes to stop the run. Right. Except that doesn't work when you have no one that can come off the edge and get to the quarterback. Osi and Biermann are doing nothing to this point for us. It's time to move on from both of them. The problem on defense starts at our guys on the edge. The middle is getting clogged and the lane is opening up next to them. Our edge guys get pushed out and then a 10 yard gain happens because our linebackers fail to fill those holes. Then when that's not happening, the linebackers fill the hole and the underneat routes in the middle fo the field are open giving them a 10-15 yard gain over the top of our backers. It's a lose-lose situation currently that no coaching scheme can fix without TALENT. Our defensive ends are absolutely being steamrolled, Osi and Kroy aren't the players they used to be. The defense starts with them, and right now the coaching staff can do nothing to counteract it so it's failing with them. I feel like at this point, all you can really do is try and put different talent on the field. Give those young guys an opportunity because we have nothing to lose. Our defense is either going to play like crap, or play like crap. There's an off chance that we could hit on something with different guys in there. And that, is where it comes to Mike Smith needing to step up and make a coaching decision instead of trying to stay the hero in the locker-room. It's problems like these where you find out if you have a guy who can win regular season games, or a real football coach who can get you to the big time. What's most frustrating, while I'm at it, is that they are like Jekyll and Hyde. One week, our defense looks like they've hit on something in the middle and second levels (Not so much the outside edges, they've looked like junk consistently). The next week, it looks like we need to trail back to the basics and start all over. Our offense has been scoring points, we had a rough game in Cincinnati but that's a great defense and offense combination there so I don't view that as bad. We've actually looked good. Putting up 28-35 points a week won't matter though when the other team can easily throw up 40-50 points. As a last note, anyone can easily get on here and say that our offense starts and ends with Julio Jones. One thing we are quickly learning though is that while Julio is an absolute stud, our offense actually starts and ends with Matt Ryan. The success difference while Matt Ryan is in the no-huddle compared to when they are using the huddle is astounding. Matt Ryan is absolutely showing how good of a quarterback he is and it's depressing that he may be in position to put up the best season yet and the team is going to fall apart around him again. So while our coaching staff and our front office continue to ignore the blatant problems the Falcons possess, we waste yet another year of Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Roddy White seemingly in the prime of their careers. Roddy White isn't getting any younger!

Perhaps the men up in the fancy sweets should spend a little more time on getting Tom Brady some help. I mean, yeah, he's awesome, but at some point you need to at least TRY and help the guy out. The Patriots haven't helped Tom Brady since they acquired Randy Moss.

Panthers have no pass rush? Still more pass rush than the Atlanta Falcons.... Seriously though, I'm so freaking sick of us signing past Jaguars to our team. Half of them aren't even playing in the league when we sign them. It's kind of pathetic. Mike Smith and his mantra of "Well, I know this guy real well" freaking sucks. Bradfield? What the hell is a Bradfield? Jesus christ, the Falcons are so damn screwed. I mean seriously, let's sign a guy who couldn't block grandma coming down a 3 story set of steps to answer the door for the god damn mail man. Just disgusts me. F*#! Mike Smith. Our defense is so freaking terrible that losing Moore really doesn't make too much of an impact, although he is great when he's on the field. One of three guys that the Falcons have really learned they can rely on. Kemal Ishmael isn't too bad, he's shown shades of being a pretty solid safety. Still though, it's certainly a downgrade.

Who Is Better At Each Aspect - Rice or Megatron?

Football IQ - Rice Dedication - Rice Route Running - Rice Body Control - Johnson Hands - Rice Speed - Johnson Jumping/Leaping - Johnson Catch Radius - Johnson Physicality - Rice - people can say Johnson all they want, he's got a big frame with powerful arms but Rice was more physical because he HAD to be. It was a time that as a receiver if you weren't physical, you were in trouble. Game was harder, defensive players had a lot longer leashes. Blocking - Johnson Durability - Rice Leadership - Rice

Report: Dolphins having Tannehill meeting Monday

The problem began when they drafted him. He shouldn't have been drafted when he was drafted, I'm not sure how much more in depth you really need to go. He was a project quarterback that they reached for far too early in the first round. Apparently, he's still proving to the Dolphins that he's a project that hasn't got any plan of completion any time soon. He shows some great stuff, then some stuff that makes you put your palm on your forehead and sigh. On another note, let's be real here, does anyone see Joe Philbin in Miami come the off-season? I don't. You don't keep a guy in the position who hasn't really shown anything special for the team. Philbin has to go, that's where their problems start and stop right now IMO. Then when you tack on that the team just isn't that great, it's not a great situation. They're in a division where all the teams seem to have at least one problem that they need to get figured out. The Dolphins are the only team in that division right now that I can almost definitively look at and say that they haven't got a shot at that division.
