  1. Fun Fact: Keenan Allen wasn't on the Cowboys draft board.

But this isn't really a surprising conversation. The Cowboys lose and you point out how they're the better team. So it's only logical that you would accuse people of absurdly criticizing when they make a rather obvious point about Jerry's missteps.

Lol. So it's "creative" and "gutsy" to scout a player, give a 3rd round grade, and then draft him two rounds earlier. Bahaha. I would call that stupid and, over the long haul, destructive. But hey, I'm the kind of guy who prefers to get value. Maybe that's just me.

So you're fine with a 3rd round talent in the 1st if it's a need and said player might be gone in the round where you actually see his value being appropriate? You don't see how doing that habitually could wreck a team? Because I've seen it first hand over the last half a decade in San Diego. Occasionally reaching for need works out, but that doesn't make it a good practice because it's going to fail more often than it succeeds. The argument you're making is the sa...

Yep. You're not hearing what I'm saying. Frederick looks like a fine center, but your team's willingness to take 3rd round talents in round 1 should be a red flag. That WILL bite your team's roster most times, even if it hasn't THIS time. Similar to A.J. Smith drafting players way above their talent level like Larry English and Jacob Hester.

It's mind-bending that a Cowboys fan can definitively know that his team rated a player a 3rd rounder, drafted that player in the 1st round, and still defend doing so. I guess I would try my best to defend Jerry too if I knew I was stuck with him. Ownership taking over the GM role is probably about the worst thing that can happen to an organization.

You don't get it. THEY rated him a 3rd rounder. And then drafted him in the first. If you have any scrap of sense, that should frighten you regardless of how it is turning out. And you're saying that was fine, but having a receiver of Allen's talent on the board ANYWHERE was unnecessary. You're defending ineptitude.

Oh I see. So a 3rd round talent in the first round is fine, but a 1st round talent just shouldn't be on the board because it's unnecessary. Lol.

All I've said is that he's on track for a very good rookie year. That's just the truth without embellishment. But "middle of the road" is a funny way to describe a guy who every draft analyst pegged as a first round talent (and who is playing like it). Seems like the type you might want on your draft board.

You're not seeing potential, you're acting as though that potential is realized. "IS better" as if it's decided. The fact remains that your idiot owner, wannabe GM didn't even have this kid on his draft board.

All the OSU fans should be really bummed out right now. They needed Michigan to be ranked as high as possible when they played them so they could check a "quality win" on their schedule.

I'm not fond of it either, but if Rivers put that hitch to Gates where it needed to go, we're probably talking about a comeback win instead of an embarrassing loss. What was really infuriating was using Woodhead on 4th and Goal instead of Brown or McClain.

Your point that he generally starts fast and implodes? No, he didn't prove that because it's still wrong. I figured you'd have something to say about that game. And it was a bad game. But the reality is that you can't prove a trend that never happened. You're sticking to your guns on this one, but the numbers in past seasons are clear- Rivers has traditionally enjoyed his best performances in November and December. Enjoy the ignorance.

His highest rated month in 2011 was December. His highest rated month in 2012 was November. Saying the same wrong thing over and over doesn't make it true. Just makes you look stupid. Which I know you're not so I wish you'd just admit that what you thought about Rivers isn't actually true.

No, you can't use records from previous seasons to somehow prove that Rivers starts fast and then declines. One doesn't prove the other, and it's untrue to begin with. So you don't get it.

You still don't get it. You're dismissing his fast start because you say that's what he does every year. But it's not. You don't think it will last? Fine. But I'm going to point out when you're making crap up to try and prove it.

You said the same after the Eagles game I believe. I know because I remember pointing out how wrong that was at the time. For the last 6 seasons, Rivers' best months have been November or December. But please, continue taking ignorant cheap shots.

You keep saying that MHG... it's not at all true. Rivers has traditionally had a better second half to the season. Check your facts. I also find it odd that you'd appeal to some mysterious early season trend to criticize him despite the way he's playing.

I'm pretty dang happy for the guy. He takes a lot of unwarranted criticism from fans/media for supposed character flaws that don't actually exist. So when his play declines last season, people were all too willing to pile on. Now he just needs to keep it up. Off topic- but I think the Eagles might wind up in perfect position to land Mariota or Hundley is one or both come out.

It's all good. I do have to admit a little bit of bitterness towards the fact that a division rival picked up a HOF QB for nothing but a contract, but I think that's natural.
