Lions @ Bills

Recommended Posts

The Bills have won four of the past five meetings, and the last three were all decided by three points or fewer. Detroit has lost three in a row in Buffalo since earning its lone victory there in 1991.

The Lions won their Week 14 game in Arizona, 17-3, not allowing a touchdown for the first time since Week 6 of 2014 at Minnesota. Detroit's 96 net passing yards tied its fewest in a game this decade (vs. GB on December 12, 2010).

The Bills have lost their last two games despite leading in the fourth quarter of both. Buffalo has a -52 point differential in the fourth quarter this season, third worst in the NFL.

Darius Slay returned an interception 67 yards for his first career touchdown last week. Since becoming a full-time starter in 2014, Slay has 17 interceptions and 81 passes defensed. No other player has more than 74 passes defensed over that span.

Josh Allen had 101 rushing yards last week and has 335 in his last three games, the most in a three-game span by a quarterback in the Super Bowl era. With another 100-yard rushing performance this week, Allen would be the first QB to rush for 100-plus yards in three consecutive games in NFL history.

Buffalo's opponents have gained 6.40 yards per pass attempt this season, third fewest in the NFL. Detroit's opponents have averaged 8.16 yards per attempt, fourth most in the league.
