BLUE 1,026 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) By Joshua L. Weinstein John Travolta has signed on to play mafia don John Gotti in Nick Cassavetes' "Gotti: Three Generations," TheWrap has confirmed. The movie focuses on the head of the Gambino crime family, who was known as "the dapper don," and his relationship with his son, John Gotti Jr., who became a "made man" when he was 24. The younger Gotti ultimately decided to leave the crime business. Travolta was twice nominated for the best actor Academy Award -- for 1994's "Pulp Fiction" and for 1977's "Saturday Night Fever." Leo Rossi, the actor and writer, penned the script. Rossi also wrote 2004's "Mafioso: The Father, the Son." Michael Froch and Marty Ingels are producing. Marc Fiore is executive producer. Travolta is repped by WME. Source: TheWrap Edited March 31, 2011 by BLUE
