McCarthy: Ryan Grant has bruised kidney

Recommended Posts

Coach Mike McCarthy revealed Monday that Ryan Grant suffered a bruised kidney in Sunday's win over the Bears.

McCarthy provided no details on Grant's Week 4 status other than to say he'll know more when the Packers resume practicing Wednesday. Green Bay faces the Broncos next. Grant broke out of an early-season slump to rack up 92 yards on 17 Week 3 carries, severely outplaying James Starks. If Grant is unable to play next Sunday, Starks would rise back into the RB2 range. Early indications remain that Grant should not miss game action.

I saw him run off the field and it looked like he had the feeling of getting punched in the gut lol. Hope he's ready for Denver.

I really hope we activate Alex Green this game and let him see some playing time. It looks like Grant has the starting spot intact and hopefully he plays.
